Easiest way I would say is root the phone then download ROM MANAGER from the app store to get CWM.
I actually would recommend TWRP instead of CWM, I believe there is a thread somewhere in android development.
i installed twrp a few weeks back because i had a sd card problem and read you need root access blah blah. the problem was that i was sold a 128 sc card and it was only 8 gig.... yep bought it from ebay lol. so i did not need twrp.
now i have got the 1st or 2nd software update from htc popping up on my phone. i have not updated because iv read it could mess things up on my phone.
i want to either 1. remove twrp all together so i can install official update or 2nd where to get the update and do it through twrp. where do i need to go. how to install it. also how to install stock android because it is meant to be better and perform better.
also i cant seem to gain access to twrp anymore. do i need to do something in order to get into bootloader ?
help please.
Install ROM Manager, choose recovery (TWRP).
Reboot into recovery through ROM Manager.

Hope I helped you! If I did , then why not press that Thanks button under my post...

If you need to return to stock & you didn't make a backup here is a good thread to see if your stock recovery and stock rom is there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376

Well I think you can just flash stock recovery back before you do that make a backup with twrp and if you have removed system apps or froze them restore them before flashing stock recovery back & then apply the updates if that is successful just flash twrp back

Well you either need to find your stock rom Inc stock recovery if it's not there you could ask for it on the thread & at some point someone might upload it. Take it you never made a stock Backup before unlocking etc.

Clockwork mod is custom recovery if you have s-off it will install it but if your s-on you will have to flash it via htboot with the Adb commands. Good guide here to have a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711073

Not being funny there is plenty of guides on xda to help you. If you don't know if you have s-off you shouldn't even attempt the Adb commands or flashing anything as you could end up with a expensive paper weight. Before you do anything else read the XDA threads on the m8

Download a stock rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970
Extract out the boot.img in zip file and flash it in fastboot using: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Flash a custom recovery (either TWRP or CWM) using: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Than reboot into recovery and full wipe (except SD card), mount your SD card to computer and transfer the downloaded zip over and flash it and let the device reboot and its done!

You can't install an OTA update when you have CWM recovery or any other custom recovery. You need to flash the stock recovery, install the OTA update, then flash again the CWM recovery if you want.

Never ask for someone to click your thanks button. Are you here to fill up your thanks meter or to help someone, don't lose your goal .......
Asking for that is tacky !
Now as for the O.P......you get your correct rom with the command :
Fastboot getvar version-main
Restore the matching nandroid backup and tell us which one it is so i can provide you a direct link with the stock recovery.
The one that bobbi lim has linked might not be the full correct stock rom for your phone. We can't see if your phone is carrier branded or not.
Here are more nand backups !

It sounded that way indeed, he/she doesn't have to be sure to click any thank button. Its a free will and a thanks will be given when they choose to do that. Asking for it is strange. If somebody is here to get their thank meter up regardless who, then he or she is in the wrong place.......be helpful and they will thank you eventually, maybe in a post or maybe via the button. That's it !

I don't understand why are you making it such a big deal. I didn't ask for money or anything in return. I just reminded OP he can be thankful to those who have helped him. If a post has a considerable amount of "thanks", somebody with a similar problem in the future searching the forums, will know that post actually works.
I am in no way knowledgeable enough to try and help enough people and get thanks in return. (assuming that I really want them or gain something from them thanking me)
This is clearly the wrong place to discuss this but I apologize, I had to make clear my point!
I'm just giving my opinion, you didn't remind him you told him to make sure he press the thanks button
It's like a waiter asking for a tip when he didn't get one after bringing your drinks :sly:
I made my point......that's all i have to say
Cheers and a nice weekend !

Thanks for the quick reply what can i do to fix this rrupert
For me, being fairly new, was to use the CyanogenMod installer. It does all the work for you, then you can flash whatever Rom you like.

I suggest you to use Odin to restore stock Rom from www.sammobile.com
When it's done, root again and reinstall custom recovery.
DON'T EVER TRY TO DOWGRADE
I fixed it I found a thread that had JB 4.3 flashable zip because that's what came with my phone thanks for the help everyone back to sgh-i927 thread I'm a Dev and help people there
