is it fully working?

It lacks full video acceleration and camera preview, and all other ics roms are based on it, no ics is fully functional.

1. CM9 for Desire Z and Gio is different. Developer who work also different.
2. Desire Z is ARMv7 while Gio is ARMv6, ARMv7 have more support on CM9 than ARMv6. Because of hardware, I think
3. The community on Desire Z is bigger than Gio, so basically many developers to develop many ROM.

lack of camera preview will be big problem, I recommend another good custom rom during the waiting time just as spaceless or cm7

MIUI is an extremely "showy" ROM . Yes, it looks awesome, that's about it. I ditched it already on my S2 after playing with it for a few hours.
So even there was a MIUI ROM for Wildfire, I would pick CM7. lol
Only CM 9 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344
Miui is going open source, means nothing to me but apparently they're putting source code up on github miuiandroid.com/2012/02/xiaomi-opens-up-android-rom-source-code/

Its only a few apps at the moment. I've seen people planning to port it to other armv6 devices, so maybe we'll have the chance to port it from there..
Yey! MIUI has been ported already to wildfire .. I know its in the development stage but it's great..

No CM9 for Desire :(

As Cyanogen posted on twitter
" The Nexus One, along with the other first generation Snapdragon devices (devices with the QSD8x50, MSM7x25, MSM7x27 and MSM7x27T SoCs), will not be supported beyond the CM 7.x (Gingerbread) branch. "
Sad news. But I'm not suprised, I've had my Desire for almost 2,5 year now. It's just getting old. There are great alternatives however, I am so glad there are still some skilled developers trying to port all this stuff, and with succes

I used Sandvold's ICS ROM as a daily. Works great! I'm struggling to think of a bug that pisses me off.... erm.... video rec is choppy or it just crashes, as does panorama BUT they do work... tbh i dont care about that but i wanted to say something

This can't be news. Didn't Cyanogen say when they first started on the CM9 that older devices would not be officially supported?

Stable CM ROM for Wildfire S

Hello all, I have a Wildfire S and I want to unlock and install a custom ROM. I want to try a CM ROM.
Which is the best for a daily use?
Thanks and best regards.
Hi jlazkano
I'm pretty new to this rooting/custom rom party but i loaded Cyanogenmod 9 onto my HTC Wildfire s and althought this biuld is technically still in alpha i think, its stable and its my daily rom. Had no problems with it, very pleased.
androidadvices . com have a really good tutorial on how to get it onto the device.
Hello,
I've tried both CM9 and CM10 and I think CM10 is better. First it is nearly stable. Second it is twice faster than CM9 (even more, but I don't know if the word thrice exists in English ). And third... it 4.1 Jelly Bean ! With Google Now, the amazing notification bar, and... the little 4.1.2 in the "About phone" section
Good unlocking and enjoy !

Hi,
Have just installed CM10 as someone commented earlier, it is still Alpha but it is very smooth and quick and if you use apps2sd you have a lot of free space to try and fill with apps
Thanks both!
Could you put the links to the ROM and Google Apps?
Thanks and best regards.

Here is cm10 : link .
Here are the modded gapps to fit in the small /system partition of our device : link .
Here is the Int2Ext+ script (works quite fine for me) : link .
If you have problems with gapps search the support thread (here for marvel).
Enjoy !
Following the advice on the page, i 'upgraded' from CM9 to CM10 and i must say, ealy days for me yet, but i reckon that CM10 is better then CM9. It just seems more stable and smooth and faster.

If you want to try a sense3-Rom with 2.3.5., then try eqdkp 5.2.
It runs smoth with Antutu-score of 1950 and is stable.

It lags like hell if you install a lot of apps(which in this case would be 30+).
I switched to sense 3.5, and God, it's so much faster.

Which ROM are you using ? I can say that CM10 ROMs have emerged as a beauty now
They are a lot faster and stable now. Well, of course you will have to use MIUI camera and stuff like that to make all the possibilities of the phone to work I mean, camera won't work like stock. There... I said it. Camera won't be good in any of the CM10/CM9 ROMs . But you will have an advantage like you can use the latest of Android. You can mod it anyway you want it to. And regarding the lag that you have mentioned, I guess that will happen when you use init.d scripts for INT2EXT and stuff like that. When the number of apps increases then depletes the internal storage making the phone slower.
Well, i still have to say that the GB ROMs are best for our phone. I mean , its flawless. Everything works , including camera. You can add flash support if you want to (You gotta be rooted to do these stuff). Battery is also good.
For those who are bored by the GB look and feel, CM ROMs are for you guys. I mean , if you don't use camera at all , then CM ROMs are prefect for you. Djolivier's marvelous ROM is a Good-To-Go ROM . It gives you a balanced battery + Performance. He has added the Aroma installer in it which makes you the one who customizes it as per your need.
And could you give me an advice or link to a single thread that will help to install this new jelly bean on my HTC Wildfire S if possible, I've never done this kind of thing before.

[Q] cm10 fxp150 vs Xperia Ultimate Hd, compare(speed, performance)

I have try both cm10 and Xperia ultimate hd . here are my experience.
I'm feel that ultimate hd is not as fast as cm10
cm10 fxp149 hace no lag but sometimes it hang
cm10 fxp150 has no lag n hang. and even better with fussion kernel 4.1
xperia ultimate hd has lag but no hang. additional (xloud, bravia engine and hdmi work perfectly)
*cm10 fxp150 has louder sound compare to cm10 fxp149
*kernel used arcknight,rush(for xperia ultimate hd),fussion(for cm10)
So, any suggestion and will ultimate hd+faster than cm10 fxp150. cuz I'm missing xloud bravia engine and hdmi

This is the themes and apps section, threads prefixed with [Q] should go in Q&A. Also this isn't development related, you're essentially asking which is the faster ROM, which you could have posted on anyone of the "best ROM" threads in the General section.
