Ok finaly, it's work with 2000 mah battery
After using quite a few mounts I think the Tetrax X-Way is the best by far.
Very easy to put your phone in place (it seriously just locks on) and is extremely easy to remove / use in a new car.
Also, it can hold a tablet... Think about the possibilities there
I particularly love the Dask Genie -- or whatever it goes by here in the States. (I bought mine from England BEFORE someone got the brighter idea to start marketing a similar model here!) I don't have a screenshot. It suctions onto the dask and uses sticky-tack to keep phone in place without any residue. I've used it on all kinds of terrains with great results. And I can remove my phone if I need to answer/make a call with only one hand.
Look it up.

Hi there !
Recently I found myself charging my Cell phone mostly all the time close to the ground, scared it could fall
So after some research I am now looking for a dock charger. So far i spotted 2 that seams pretty interresting. I was wondering which one you guys were using. And does it work with a case ?
so far i spotted the - seidioonline.com/innodock-p/crjhnx1-bkc.htm
and the ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Multimedia-Desktop-Dock-Charger-T-Mobile-Galaxy-S-II-T989-Hercules-/320783293515?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4ab02c9c4b[/url]
anyone know if it works well with case also ?
i have the one on the first link and i wouldnt recommend a case the dock its almost made perfectly for the phone.
i'll suggest you this one instead

wow seriously, i wish i would of known this before i bought mine.. too late now
find a SGS II cradle from ebay, used a few days, everythine seems perfect.
i was alwas forget to charge the phone, you know, the SGS II, really battery killer, it drains out in half a day, since i have this, every time i seat in front of my desk, get start to work, the cradle seem like a magic pull me to insert my phone in it.
that's fun! never forget charge my phone since then, really like it, it's already become part of my life.
oh, try search "anker cradle for i9100" on ebay if your want too.
These are good docks there as a few of these on ebay and other web sites under other name but the same thing.
Yes well worth having.
does it means that you're very often charging it even if battery isn't empty? doesn't it "kill" the battery?

Li-on batteries don't have "memory" so you can charge it whenever:

Sync + charge
I would like to buy this one, but is it able to sync the Phone via first USB and charge through the other (from plug) at the same time?
Thanks
I'm looking to pick up an extended battery (LTE version) since they're only $25 again, but like many of you I am also anxiously awaiting the release of 3 pin car and desktop docks.
I guess this isn't really something that can be answered until the docks are out, but do you think the phone will still fit in them if using the extended battery? I don't really want to buy the battery and then not be able to use it once the docks come out.
My guess is they will, I think they will have designed the case to fit all 4 variants of the phone, (GSM, GSM extended, LTE, LTE extended) if they haven't I think they've missed a trick!
possibly. Problem is the Verizon is already thicker then the GSM version. The Extended battery also adds another bit of thickness.
If you plan on using the Pins... it would have to be spot on. With the pins on the battery side of the phone, this could prove a problem. I've never owned a Car Dock. Unless it was designed with elongated rounded pins that make contact and various depths, but the phone contacts seem to be slightly recessed, making this impossible. From what I've seen, the pins on the dock are tall pins (nubs).
This is probably why the Verizon version didn't include the pins... and we may never see one for use with an extended battery.
Best way to engineer this would be to make the back deeper then it needs to be... then add "layers" to make it the correct thickness. Like a circle with tabs. Different circles would be different thicknesses. Insert the correct circle for your phone type and spin it until the tabs lock it into place.
Like this: Interchangeable thickness pieces to make sure it's the currect depth:
Then you could order the kit which would come with a variety of different sets of circle pieces. BAM! Universal Car Dock.
I give. Where are you finding the extended batteries for 50% off? I see the standard battery on Verizon's site. A link please?

I can't find it browsing the site either. Only way I've ever found it is via URL link.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/...ryDetails&archetypeId=12917&accessoryId=49870
FYI, they're out of stock online and aren't letting you backorder right now. Keep the link, or do what I did. After ordering yesterday, I bought one in store (they're doing the same promo, 50% off all extended batteries for LTE devices, I didn't even need to ask) and cancelled the order I placed yesterday.
Ok so i have had my galaxy s3 for nearly a week now and today i have just received the extra battery kit so i thought i would give a quick review.
Its an official product and comes with the original galaxy s3 battery and a handy stand that holds the phone and charges the battery in a compartment towards the back on the stand.
The stand is piano black finish, which is slightly transperant to allow the LED notification to show though. The LED has three different states:
Red - Charging
Green - Charged
Orange - Error
All that comes in the box is the stand and battery there is no USB charging cable, and the stand itself does not charge the phone, it only charges the spare battery. The stand is very good when you have the phone in landscape but if you want to use the stand to hold the phone in portrait mode it can be a bit fiddle, i found that if you lift the cover where the for the battery compartment the phone sits well in portrait mode and this does not affect charging at all.
see the rest of the photos to get a better look
Pros:
Having two batteries for a smart phone is a must if the phone allows you so to get a handy product like this where you can charge one battery while using the other is a big PLUS
The Battery that comes with it is the exact same as the one that came with the phone which is a very good 2100mAh battery
The stand is great for landscape view
Very stylish
Cons:
You can only charge the spare battery not the battery in the phone itself
Does not come with a USB charging cable
Piano black finish is terrible for finger marks
Overall a great accessory and i would advise any galaxy s3 owner to buy
COST as of Fri 22nd June 2012 on amazon UK is £26.45
Thanks for having a read if you have any questions just let ask, and give me a thanks if this has helped you decide to buy the product or not CHEERS
I didnt see a price mentioned?
sorry my friend it is currently £26.45 on the amazon UK site, what do you think would be tempted to buy it
Some more photos for yous to have a look at as you can see in the first one the finger prints show up very messy on the piano black finish

could you please check to see if NFC works with the extra battery in?
You could try out credit/debit cards with contactless payment built in or a public transport payment card like an oyster?
thanks

I am thinking of buying this but my battery says "Near Field Communication" below the SAMSUNG logo while from your pictures, it seems like the extra battery doesn't say this.
If it doesn't have an NFC antenna in it, I can't see much point in spending this much on an official battery.
EDIT
I just had a look at my battery and on the other side, it looks like yours in your picture. I guess I will get this after all

haha i was about to post a picture but the rom i'm using has some camera bugs so i guess you will just have to believe me lol
if you get the kit let me know what you think
just got the camera mod fixed on my rom with a new update so here is a picture of the NFC info
Hmm, its a bit rubbish that it doesnt charge the phone.
You would have to charge the spare battery and then swap them over.
Or remove the dock cable then charge the phone
Why Samsung?
its not bad but the new charger and usb sync dock thats coming out next week from samsung would be even better, if not then why not get both! battery kit and dock together would be awesome. or even the dock and some hyperion kits!
Does this work with usb cable and car charger?
Will the kit hold a phone with a tpu case?

I just received this minutes after posting in this thread.
Was aware of the disability that phone can't be charged at the same time as the battery.
Was NOT aware this kit does not come with its own charging cable! This is a major points deduction.
Overall C$35 shipped to my home in 3 business days is not a bad deal for OEM goodness.
Hi, the stand drains your battery if you leave it inside without the charging cable?
That's odd. I ordered mine from amazon here is the US and mine came with a usb charging cable. Genuine Samsung

I Googled it for you, second link down, give it a go, it's really easy.
The first thing you’ll want to note is the dock will not work with the LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus, however, it will work with either the stock or the official extended battery for the GSM version of the phone, though the fit is noticeably more snug.
Thanks - I did look round before i posted the question
Verizon Pogo Pin Dock works with extended battery
I can affirm that the extended battery works with the pogo pin dock that is available on samsung's website. It's a bit of a hefty drop for $95 with tax and whatnot but it's well worth the money. also, it may be interesting to note that there is a bit of a 2-4 second delay sometimes for the phone to register that it has been placed in a dock. it goes straight to the clock when it has been docked.
Samsung website: (I would post the link but I can't because I haven't posted 10 times yet) -__-
NOTE: The model number of the dock that is compatible with the CDMA version is: EDD-D1F8BEBSTD
hope that helps!

$95 is a tough pill to swallow, but I'm thinking about it, because I will probably end up keeping this phone for the full two years of the contract I'm on.
Does the i515 dock work OK with the OEM extended battery?
And a couple questions I have about the phone's behavior in the dock that I haven't seen answered in any threads about the dock:
When docked, the phone is supposed to go into the landscape clock mode. Cool.
1. Does the normal screen timeout setting work? (does the screen turn off after x minutes?)
2. How do you turn the screen on and off manually? The volume buttons?

* Yes, clock mode or another app can take that over if you desire if the app supports it.
* Screen respects the normal timeout settings EXCEPT if the screen saver clock is on, then the screen never times out. To prevent the screen saver you need to use an alternative dock app as per my point above.
* Reactivate the screen by either modding for volume button wake or removing it from the dock and pressing the power button.
Samsung/Google didn't anticipate needing to use the power button (it's inaccessible) I suppose because the screen is never off with their default config... they just didn't consider alternative configs.
They should have included a 'wake/sleep' button on the actual dock.
DJ, Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, it seems that the dock was not very well thought out, and that its interaction with the phone was also not well thought out. It really disappoints me, as when I bought the GN back in December, the (potential) availability of a desk dock was one of the features I really wanted. I had a DX prior to the GN, and used the desk dock every night. My phone is my alarm clock. However, in that function, I need to be able to turn off the display and turn it back on easily.
It also seems the CDMA GN is kinda the 'bastard stepchild' of the family. The GSM version can get the dock on Play for $55. Us CDMA owners are stuck with getting it from Sammy directly for $90.
I've got a Nexus 7 on the way, and noticed that it also has pogo pins. Hopefully ASUS won't screw the pooch or fiddle around for more than 7 months on getting accessories out.
It just really seems to me that Sammy doesn't give a **** about the GN. They were like "here, Google, have fun, see ya later!"

90 bucks!?
Damn that's a ripoff, what's the difference?
I actually like my vertical pogo pin dock for my Nexus One...

The CDMA phone and the GSM phone are slightly different thickness wise.
I think the GSM dock can be 'massaged' (read: use a dremel on it!) to fit a CDMA phone.
The situation is still rather laughable, IMHO.
hi guys , I have a galaxy nexus desk dock ,but a question annoy me that the first option of dock setting(audio) is always grey and never active it when I put my phone on dock. In my nexus one dock you can active the first option of dock setting(audio) and then you can answer incoming calls and listen music transfering by buletooth t. In galaxy nexus dock what i have mentioned is impossible thing because you only listen music by line out . and why ?who know it please tell me ,thx.
