[q]wildfire s unlock bootloader help

I have tried most roms from htvdev and none of them have worked, i get this rom is not support or error 90.
My phones from New Zealand so i choose telecom nz ruu,
error 90,
andriod 2.3.5
htc sense 2.1
software number 2.17.781.2
PG7612000
kernal version 2.6.35.10
im willing to pay $10 bucks paypal who ever can link me to the right ruu

If you make a goldcard, you will be able to run any RUU with a software number that is higher than yours. Search it on google. Also there is a link to making a goldcard in index.
Edit: reread your post, looks like you have a very high software number, search the index for downgrading. Link to the index is in my signature

RUU for PrimoU - HTC_017

I've done a fair bit of searching but I can not find which RUU I should be using to upgrade a GSM HTC One V with the CID of HTC_017.
This was a gift, as part of the experiment put on during DEF CON XX, and I genuinely do not know the origination of the phone, though I do have the packaging, serial, product, and other information for the device.
Looking to update radios, then root, but I got an Error 130: Model ID error when trying to flash an Asia_WWE RUU.

I, too, have a couple of these phones and would LOVE to know what model they actually are. (and where on earth to obtain an RUU for them!)

... i have seen threads about the chinese version of the phone (are there huge numbers of people from China here on the forums with this device??) and a link to someone who has "all other versions" but that person's file share seems to totally lack US based RUUs.
Can anyone tell us what exact model this is and also drop a direct link to the appropriate RUU?

alright, thanks for the update. i'm not overly concerned because these phones aren't personally tied to any of us, but i suppose it's a prudent move.
still no suggestions as to where one would turn for details of the RUU package?

Bump - Anyone know if there is an RUU available for the HTC_017 CID?
I am currently using the CM9 on mine, but would like to try out Stock ROM if possible?
Also, would it be bad to change the CID to one in the Telus RUU approved list, to force that stock onto phone? It seems to be the only North American HTC ONE V stock ROM that is GSM friendly currently published by football.

I have M8 whl s-off, cid 11111111 and bootloader locked.
Hboot 3.108.0, software 1.54.651.8, android 4.4.2 and rooted.
I wanna change software to the international one M8 UL which I can get on Internet bar like 3G , H, H+ and 4G instead of GSM in circle.
Plz which rom I can use or any way to modify it in the original firmware?

Please don't post the same/similar issue to multiple different threads.

You should also pay attention to the date of threads. As it's unlikely that folks that posted this one (2 years ago) will reply, or that the information would be still be applicable.
Also, do yourself a favor, and do not follow random video tutorials. For a number of reasons:
1) As I've indicated in your other thread, the Sprint variant M8is fairly peculiar. So if a video isn't specific to the Sprint M8, it will cause you problems. Possibly even a permanent radio brick.
2) Video tutorials often aren't updated, and outdated information can also get you in trouble.
3) Following video tutorials without accompanying background knowledge is foolish. Video guides only spoon feed you enough info to get your into trouble, and improperly shortcut the learning process. All the info you need is on XDA, as long as you are willing to take the time to read and learn. And we'll be happy to help and answer questions. Something a video tutorial can't do.

Flash a "651" RUU from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
Be aware, if you want flash the Marshmallow 6.20.651.3 RUU, you will first need to flash the 6.20.651.3 firmware (due to a peculiarity with US versions of the M8). Instructions on how to flash the firmware also on the same post/thread.

Desire EYE Europe lollipop RUU?

guys, I need firmware 0PHIMG.ZIP or RUU.exe containing stock lollipop 2.9.401.1 or 2.9.401.2 as I'm sending my phone to repair and my software flag is still modified in fastboot. Any alternative ways instead?

The one available is for KitKat, and you can't flash it because it is considered a downgrade.
Unless you are S-off. Only S-off devices can downgrade via RUU

25$ can be a lot of money in some countries. but if you really need it, you can email the dev and find another method for payment, such as buying a 25$ Amazon gift card.

Actually this is the kernel source not the RUU. I've contacted HTC for this and they told me that they aren't planning to put RUUs for our cursed device on HTCDev.com :/

The main version number (firmware) 118 tells me it has carrier specs from T mobile. If it was eu (wwe) it would be in the line of 4.16.401
Post a fastboot getvar all output so we can see the complete specs list. Delete the serial and imei before posting it !

If you don't know that, then it's going to be complicated as you need to set up a few thing on PC.
A simple one for you - download Simple CID getter from Play Store
It will tell you your CID under CID tab
Under All tab, scroll down you'll see [ro.mid]:xxxxxxxxxx this is your MID
