Hello, I'm trying to work on the AOSP mms that comes in the Bly Pulsar theme from Master&Slaves Blu Ray ROM, SO far this is as far as I have gotten.

I'm trying to get this all transparent

I'm not a dev, but this is pretty sexy Not trying to change anything, but that green unread icon might fit the theme a little better if it was blue. IMHO
The green icon is actually because its linked to gtalk showing that they are online or away
Are you making all screens transparent .... That would be rather dope .. I am assuming you would then have to have the option of color choices for words etc,
No, right now im just doing this mms for me, or anyone else who wanted to use it, and i just started themeing o i wouldnt know how to do that yet, im still learning

Attached is the zip, just flash in recovery, also for the transparency to work you have to enable black background in the mms settings
I am having this strage issue, I was able to flash it in recovery, I enable black background in settings. rebooted
But when I scroll a mms thread, it reverts back and forth to a black background, then back to a white background
Did a fix premission, but didn't fix the issue
any ideas how to fix this?

Darkstar 2 has a black calender widget, just download the theme and extract Calendar.apk & CalendarStorage.apk from system/app within the zip. Push using adb or through terminal emulator.
sounded good but it didn't work. I copied calendar.apk and calendar provider.apk but that made it so my calendar completely went away.
edit: check that. Got it!

I'm a big fan of your stuff...but I'm either doing something wrong or CM5 doesn't like themes on my phone. I spent a ton of time tweaking my phone and in the end, it became so unstable that it wasn't worth it. I'm back to stock with only setcpu overclocking. No themes, no OC kernel, nothing. Although the market icon from your Elixir theme seems to be stuck in my phone. Its ok, I like it.

Hi all,
I use a custom theme that is just a hodgepodge of things I liked from other themes, plus my own touches.
Recently I've noticed an issue where certain text boxes will appear with black text on a black background, making the text invisible. If I click in one of these boxes, the background will temporarily turn white and I'll be able to see the text, but it means clicking on each box that looks like this.
I'm experiencing the issue in multiple apps, but not all.
Here's the problem for a contact. Notice that the first name and phone number are not visible:

Your skills probably outreach my own but I think its in values/colors.xml in either com.htc.resouces or systemui. Should be one of them if its a shared value.
This might be tough to track down. What Rom are you using? Do you notice it more in third party or market apps as opposed to system apps?

Sorry - I didn't realize how little info I included in my original post
I'm using CM7 nightlies and this is a Theme Chooser theme. I don't notice any pattern between system apps and non-system apps, but I've switched back to an older version of my theme for now.
I've been able to narrow it down to a point in time... I have one working version "before" and one broken version "after." Now I just need to comb through them to figure out what I changed... then evaluate each change to see which one caused this.
so far i'm loving this rom, working a lot better than the last rom i tried. something i noticed, was same on warm 2.2, the android calender widget is unreadable for me. on warm 2.3 the font is white with white background. i've tried new fonts, no help. anyone know how i can fix this? please and thank you

Gotcha, the issue is actually the widget itself. Since there's only been one release and active development is non-existent, bugs were left to us to find. I believe you'd have to edit the widget apk to display text in a different font. Unfortunately, I have no experience editing files so I can't walk you through it.
Edit: all I can do is offer up alternatives, line using the HTC widget (the 4x1 horizontal one) or trying a different app entirely like the superb "Jorte Calendar" which has a TON of customizations. It's available in the market.
i wanna thank you for your response, that calender seems to be doin what i want. got another question i hope someone might be able to help with. still on warm 2.3, all of a sudden the contact pix in the stock messaging app are gone. everywhere else they seem fine, just in messaging they disappeared. anyone else run into this? thoughts on how to fix?
i thought maybe another app caused it so i reflashed but after a day or so, same thing happened.

This is something I started for MIUI....but just got the Nex so I coundn't resist.
This will change your status bar, soft keys, and some blues to white.
A few things....
This is for AOKP TORO B27....haven't tried on anything else
Most of the stat_notify images done for framework and system apps.
For some reason TALK is not cooperating with me. Not third party apps.
If you have a free app that you would the notification done, let me know.
Ticker text is still white.....
Battery with w/ numbers is circle battery mod.
I hope to keep working on this on this theme and appreciate your feedback....just flash, you know the deal.
Updated 3/6: More Notifications done, Did some work on the lockscreen, text, phone, browser, camera and onlock all themed.
Made Kand'd Widget!!!! Nevemind the clock options, It does not tell time, just being clever, touching it will open alarm.

i've a little problem in my theme and would ask you for help.
in my theme i got a lot of addons to flash in cwm. mostly are background changes for settings/dialer/clock/etc.
i hav no problem with such background except with one. and this is my prefered and i included it as default in my theme.

well, with this background i everytime got an screenshot bug whil capture a screenshot. and this only happens in onehand mode.
i can't reproduce this issue in landscape, there i have never a bug.
sometimes i can't reproduce this bug in onhand mode, even when background is the same.
good example for this comparation is dialer/contacts. the background source (png) is the same.
in dialer i got this bug, in contacts not

In Landscape i can't reproduce this issue. there all screencaptures are beuatiful and no bugs.
I already tried to change the png's in ps. more color, more contrast. tried different compresures whil saving file.
nothing changes.
anyone know how i can fix it. because i wont renounce this background. i like it reaally
