Hi!
My problem is that i installed his rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432259 and after a reboot the phone just shows the htc logo and then it reboots and again shows the htc logo. It does this about 3-4 times then it just gets stuck and doesn't reboot by itself. Then I tried installing the OC patch fix and that didn't do anything either.
Yes I have wiped all data, caches and dalvik cache. Also I did install another rom(hensemod) which is working fine but I would like this rom.
After flash rom dont restart the Phone, flash also the 600 mhz Default file, then you can restart it.

thanks I'll try that!
EDIT: Now it booted up but after I set the no frills app to 768mhz it starts again. All the roms before could easily take 768mhz so I don't know what I should do with this.
I faced the same issues, my solution was to set it up at 600 Mhz.
PS, I´m currently using Wildchild rom, and I´m happy with it.

Try installing one of these kernels. That ROM has a buggy touchscreen and you need to flash one of those kernels to fix it.
EDIT: And that was 15 minutes worth of hard work to make that post
I installed the Dust kernel because with the dust v9.0 kernel it wouldn't even go past the htc screen. Now it booted up and it froze after setting up my phone so I took the battery out and I'm back at where I started. It doesn't go past the htc logo but it doesn't reboot either.
what next?
Aaronsz, I've got a similar problem, but even after having flashed the OC script, it doesn't go past the htc logo....any ideas?
Sadly I still have no idea what to do with it. I flashed Hensemod 7 and I've been using that ever since. I'd be happy if someone could tell us what to do.
Yeah, I guess we're going to have to wait. There's this amazing thread on androidforums.com called 'HTC Wildfire S unlocked with S-On (finally!)'. It's really vast. Maybe you could check it out when you've got the time...I've just gone through maybe 5 pages...
Try partitioning the SDcard with 16M for swap in recovery.
thanks for the suggestion, but I partitioned the card using Minitool partition wizard and had 100 mb swap set...but still makes no difference...(sigh!) I hate it when this happens....
I'm waiting for WildChild v1.5...

Hi folks, is anyone having issues getting this rom to start? I get stuck on the booting "google" icon with moving gears animation. Let it sit for 18 minutes before pulling battery. Below is how I installed:
1. Factory reset.
2. Wiped cache.
3. Wipe dalvik.
4. Ran dark wipe.
5. Ran kernel cleanser
6. Installed this rom's latest release.
I do the above steps for all rom's I've tried and never an issue with booting.
Any suggestions? In meantime, gonna try again. Thanks

Final update. Went back to non-Touch recovery and now rom loads no problem. All is well.
Just started this whole rooting thing a few days ago but I've found that using Darkside Super Wipe is pretty useful thing to use before flashing a rom. Here's the link for the wipe and more info about it:

A simple answer without knowing what you are able to deal with:
Go with RC8 and flash the theme here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568128
It will be close to perfect...
BTW: you need to go through the development topic to see all the problems. I think nobody would want to do this for you
Sorry for the possibly-newb question, but does the "Customizable Hardware Keys" mention in the OP mean that I can change my stupid search button into a multitasking one?!?! That would be AMAZING!

RC9
I know it says that RC 9 is experimental, but according to the bug list it doesn't seem so bad. Anybody have any personal experience with it?
For those wondering about the status of all the experimental versions, I will give you a quick rundown of my personal experience with them as far as ability as a DD is concerned.
RC 8: Good DD after inputting APN settings, didnt come across any errors, everything seems to work, except for receiving mms messages, a few others reported the same problem.
RC 9: I personally never had in call audio working, which was reported by others as well, as a result I reverted back to RC 8.
RC 10: Still early in its development, was released early mainly so RaverX3X could get some logcats on things he could not personally test. audio is not working, data (calling, texting, etc) is not working. Unless your looking to help RaverX3X out with logcats and such i would stick to RC 8 or RC 7 as your DD
RaverX3X or anyone else feel free to add or correct me if I'm wrong or missed something.
Edit: Also I installed all roms with non-touch CWM with no problems.

Something tells me this simply means you can turn on the on screen hardware keys, similar to what the Galaxy Nexus has. I have yet to figure out what value this is for a device with these very same keys in hardware already, but some people find it cool. I haven't seen a mod that will allow me to reassign my hardware keys to do something else, but I can hardly claim to have seen them all.

Darn, this makes sense. HOWEVER, if Raver or any other developer wanted to allow us to reassign the hardware keys, that would be much appreciated and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to appreciate this, as multitasking takes a little longer than it should. Thanks either way though!

Hey I was wondering, I just flashed the ChicagoROM. I love it, its very smooth. I have seen there is a link for the Google play store. Sorry i'm to new to post it, I tried. But I heard you just flash this like a ROM, but do you flash on top of the current ROM? I wouldn't think you wipe it before. Is this method the same for the Beats Audio upgrade?
so u know i got 2 people to pm me so ill be sending them copies of a un released build and work with them in getting the last issue fixed once done ill re open the dev thread.
I would strongly recommend reverting to 5.0.2.7 (regular clockwork recovery).
My T989 would not start (on a different ROM) when flash with touch, but 5.0.2.7 worked like a charm.

Try reinstalling rom. I had to do this a couple of times before it actually started working properly. Depends if u got that much time on your hands.
Also try different kernal when flashing rom as I think this is kernal related so try a different kernal. I sometime had to then reflash beastmode kernal 1.5 I think.
Havent done this in a long time as I my wife now has this fone. Good luck

Go to the Sabsa facebook page for more info on what/why. The mod has said that the thread can be reopened if alirez makes another version of the ROM removing the offending portions.

You must do a full wipe ( clan all cashes ) and than install V15 after that it shoud worke, also the best way before flashing is to do a full wipe and clean all cashes. I hope this helps
after a full wipe ( with wipe delvik and cache ) re-flash rom and go to bootloader and then go to fastboot
extract boot.img from rom zip file and copy to fastboot folder
then flash boot file with this code in fastboot command :
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
i hope fixed.
thanx its working now....

Hi there,
My Galaxy Note II freezes up on all the ROMs that I've tried. (CM, and other ROMs)
This problem started yesterday when I rooted my phone using the Note 2 toolkit.
Even after flashing back the stock 4.1.2 UK version of the ROM, the problem is still there.
Honestly I've tried everything to sort this out but it randomly freezes (sometimes even after a fresh wipe of a ROM installation)
If I reset the custom binary counter and reset it back to the original ROM again, will my warranty be still there?
Cheers
Could be hardware.
Yeah to last question.

Once try using device without ext sd card if you having it.
If still it freeze without sd card, it may hardware issue. Better to send to service station.
If your fladh binary is 'no' in download mode, then your warranty is intact

I had a different problem, all apps gets removed after a normal reboot..
So I solved it by installing TWRP recovery then went to wipe.. And clicked all the 8 buttons there .. And now it's working fine.. You may try it that.. It might help..
For the warranty, I have no idea about the warranties thing..

I have a similar issue. I rooted my N7100 shortly after getting it xmas 2012 and flashed OMEGA rom (maybe v10). All worked flawlessly until maybe May 2013 then phone started freezing intermittently and frequently. I'm now running Liquidsmooth 2.8, flashed on July 1st after doing a complete wipe (data/cache/Dalvik) and doing a clean install of system apps. The phone still freezes, now even more than before....tried reflashing but no luck. Also tried Moon Rom v8 (kept getting boot loop) and ParanoidAndroid (gapps would flash successfully, but wouldn't show up once after reboot).
Any idea what's causing this?
Did u try to format the internal sdcard completely ?
I too had this problem, I was getting all sorts of problems, reboots, errors, failed flashes, even after doing all the wipes and trying different roms, the only way I could fix it was to flash a stock room through odin with a pit file to reset the partition table, worked a charm after.

Hello.
I tried wiping everything and doing this, and basically it worked. But it is still rebooting, at what seems to be, the same time after loading each time. It will run for a while, and then after maybe 20-30 seconds, it will lag once, and then continue for ~2 seconds, and then lag again, and then turn off and reboot. It did this during CyanogenMod installation, and is doing it now in the OS. I can navigate the OS, apps, etc, for a few seconds until it restarts.
Any help you, or anyone else, could give would be wildly appreciated. I hope we can solve this so I can use my phone again, thank you all for your time.
EDIT:
My story, as short as possible. I got a new HTC One V from Virgin Mobile. Wanted to install Jellybean. Rooted it and installed ClockWorkMod. Used ClockWorkMod and normal methods to install a ROM of Cyanogen I found (listed in OP). That didn't work, kept rebooting as mentioned in OP. Deleted everything. Tried RUU stuff without really knowing what I was doing. Didn't work as expected. Gave up. Tried this Cyanogen ROM posted above. Still rebooting.
If you need anymore information about my phone model, or something else, just ask. I really need to get this fixed so I can use my phone. Thank you all again for your help.
You have to copy the boot.img from the ROM zip and paste it in your fastboot window and run command
fastboot flash boot boot.img

And read the forums before posting what thousands of other had already asked....and gotten answered.... XDA RULES
So i made the mistake of doing the HTC ONE V OTA update back in march.
It was the "Software Update: 1.10.652.6 (73.1 MB)".
After doing so i tried to flash a custom rom.
The result was my phone being stuck in a boot loop.
I bought a cheap android phone and switched my number to that phone.
I saw that the RhythmicRom v1.4 worked with the OTA update and so i flashed my HTC ONE V to that rom and it stopped my phone from boot looping and so my phone works again.
My only problem is that for me to switch back to my HTC ONE V is to switch it back though the VIRGIN MOBILE website.
After i switch it tells me i need to use the "Activate" set up wizard.
RhythmicRom removed the "Activate" and "My Account" app.
I also cant use ##VIRGIN# with this rom
My question is, How do i reactivate my HTC ONE V without the "Activate" set up wizard?
I really want to use this rom.
Ive tried to look for ways to do it and tried them but none of them work.
Ive also tried some ## codes but some of them dont work or require some security code.
Is there anyway to reactivate my phone using that rom?
I hope you made backup of your stock. You wil lneed to restore it and flash the stock kernel in fastboot. You will then be able to activate it.
the only backup i have its the one before the update. ive tried to use it before but it just reverts me back to a bootloop. now that my phone had been updated it doesnt seem to work anymore.
I've just added a thread in CDMA development

ok so i tried it. the rom wouldn't work. it has done this with many roms ive tried. it seem the only ones that are working are RhythmicRom_v1.4 & jellybeer. maybe it has to do with the code?
but i tried the boot.img from your rom combined with my backup that i made before the update and it booted up finally without any reboot problems but the wifi had an error in it.
but i then went to reboot to double check to see if it was working it booted past the virgin mobile part (with the people dancing) got to the htc logo and it wouldn't go past that.
when i tried to use you're rom it would come up as "Failed" i dont think the code is compatible with my phone.
What version recovery are you using... I'll look into it
im using TWRP 2.5.0.0
Down grade to the one I have posted in the 3rd post in CDMA development thread

2.5.0.0 will always say failed because it's trying to format a partition or your sdcard that does not exist
i will try it out thanks!
Welcome
so i tried flashing twrp v2.2.0 and for some reason it wont mount my sd card so it cant read it at all.
Do you have ADB checked under settings?
---------- Post added at 03:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:01 PM ----------
P.S. whenever you are in fastboot mode send command
fastboot erase recovery (press enter)
You'll probably get an error but move on and send command
fastboot erase cache
Now send command
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
This should give you a clean install of your recovery
If the problem persists, I'll take down the link for the TWRP 2.2.0 in my thread
when i got my phone, i went and tinkered with everything and had a custom rom on there before i got a chance to activate it as well, i ended up RUU'ing back to stock to activate, then going to a normal rom, ever since then, i've never needed to go back... hope this helps!
How do I get into settings?
And to the other person, with the new ota update ruu won't work with my phone.

I'm pretty sure I have it set up properly. I haven't had a problem with it yet. I just didn't know there was a way to fully wipe the recovery. Thanks for that info. Next time I have internet I will try it out. For now I'm stuck using this rom. it works pretty good just a bit buggy.
