but i thought lte wasn't coming until the 2nd half of 2012

probably a white gs2, but a new device from op, so im guessing maybe a note since galaxy s3 wont be till end of q3 beggining of q4 like the epic touch

epic touch in white will launch on jan 8th tentativley so its not related that is all I can release

phone or tablet, ICS based? I would assume ICS but figured i would ask

If OP is saying "Galaxy S" device then its not the Nexus, but something not radically different. I would guess the Galaxy SII with the 720p HiDef screen with dual core 1.5ghz ?
But also Samsung has said they will preview the next generation S3 at the big CES electronic show in January, said to be released in Spring.

I was informed that Sprint will carry the Nexus (galaxy s phone or not) January would seem to be the right time to announce it. Of course it's possible my source was wrong. Either way Samsung products are welcome

Read an article about it on android blog but now I can't find it. However, supposedly Intel will be unveiling something right before Sprint goes. Found this other article with their ideas.

Questionable accuracy of the article as a whole. Samsung has already started that the Galaxy S line will not receive ICS, so what makes the author think that it will now receive JB? Also note that July is in quarter 3, which was the update for GSM Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and the wifi Xoom. Author states nothing new and includes random misinformation. Really - the Galaxy Nexus 4G? Next he'll be writing things like "Nexus Prime". The link to a retailer page for the Sprint Nexus is not an indicator that Sprint is somehow the next Nexus due for JB. This guy probably works for Amazon and is trying to make some money.

[Speculations] Jelly Bean 4.1.1 coming to GS 2!

Now, I don't want to make rumors or anything, but this isn't a rumor. Listen to my line of logic for a second, even if the SGH-t989 doesn't get Jelly Bean, the SkyRocket will at which point a complete, stable version of Jelly Bean can be ported. Know that we know it's incoming, we just need to play a waiting game..

They mentioned Galaxy S II LTE, which is identical to the T989. So even if it's not released to T-Mobile officially one of the great devs here will port it, no doubt.

I don't see how the 4.1.2 discredit this article. Many times different carriers have slightly different numerical values attached to their updates for different reasons
