Hi,
I love my one x having come across from an iphone, one thing I like is the lock screen camera but I can only seem to take one phone in this mode, any ideas how I access a full camera from the lock screen or take more than one photo...
Thanks in advance,

3 dots on games

before any htc one x games video , i watched the lg 4x gaming video to see the games on a 720p 4.7 inch
after htc one x games video , and saw the 3 dots under the screen because htc one x have off screen buttons , but lg 4x have off screen buttons too, but the games filled all the screen , without leaving any space like the one x , why is that , they are the same in most specs
I will post photos to help people understand what i mean

That's how HTC have chosen to implement the menu button on apps which require it. If the Optimus 4X doesn't show it LG must have found another way to work around the need to show a menu button somewhere, but I don't know what they've chosen to do.
EDIT: The third button on the LG is a menu button (not the recent apps button used on the HTC phone), so it doesn't need to show it on screen.
EDIT2: or rather, the third button functioned as a menu button on the pre-release review models, although the icon looks like the recent apps button, so possibly it either does both (as appropriate) or it is just a menu button.
so htc can fix that in an update , but if they didn't do anything , could xda devs find a way to fix it

[Q] Picking One X from the Store, What to Check For?

Hello,
After reading a worryingly big number of posts about both software and hardware glitches on the One X, I thought about compiling a list of things to check for if one is to get their device from the store (as I am intending). A quick check list of all the glitches that were reported *and* can be reproduced/checked for in the store. I imagine this would save a lot of people the hassle of returning faulty devices and whatnot.
So, any advice?
Edit:
Coffmad's:
1- GPU glitches: Watch a +1 min video on YouTube.
2- Yellow dots (I think): Google Images "white" and "black" to get fullscreen white/black backgrounds.
3- Check over the body for dinks and/or scratches.
the main things id do it watch a full youtube video (1 min should do it)
check the screen on fully white and black background, not switched off, but an actual black image
and just check over the body for any dinks or scratches
Open phone dialer and press *#*#3424#*#* test all that you can test. Will give you a good idea if sensors are working as they should be.

Open maps and make sure you get a solid lock, my first one had faulty GPS and was flying all over the place

Dead pixels - any other screen issues. Power-on the phone, then press the task manager softkey after the first menu prompt. That should make most of the screen dark grey, enough to check for any spots of white.

Custom wall paper size

Hi all,
Got my One X and loving it. I'm trying to put a custom lockscreen wallpaper and trying to use one of my photos I took. I copied the photo over to my one x by connecting as storage device and pasting. I can open it on device and see it on phone but it only takes up half the screen as a small box. If i set it i have to crop it to go as wallpaper and it loses even more and only a small box in middle.
My question is what is the size for wallpapers and how do you make your own photo fit that size and take up the whole screen.
Make it 1440 x 1280
Thanks. Tried that but still no go. Have got photo to show what i mean. It doesn't take up the hwole screen like the pre loaded ones do. Not sure if i need to do somehting idfferent becuase it was one i took on my dslr camera.
Can see here add www . flickr. com/photos/camaron_m/7194120174
When you set a custom wall paper did you draw the green box out to the whole picture?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
when i go to set custom wallpaper i get a green box that i cant change at all and this makes the picture i have even smaller so it takes up less screen.

[Q] Camera problem (white screen)

Hey guys,
I'm not a Wildfire S owner, but a girlfriend has one, and has a problem with her camera.
When you launch the camera app, there is no camera live view. Instead of the camera view, the screen is only white.
But the strange thing is: You can take pictures, and look at them in gallery, but you don't have a preview in camera app.
Her phone is completely stock, not even rooted
Help!
Anyone? It's for a girl!

[Q] Photo & Video buttons on same screen?

Hi.. maybe i'm missing something (very probable), but i can't seem to find out if it's possible to have both buttons on the camera screen at once, for taking a photo or starting a video recording.
I've attached three pics to show what i'm on about.
1st shows M8 camera screen. Only button is to take a picture.
2nd shows M8 dual shot screen, on here it's possible to do both, take a pic or start a video.
3rd is from the One X camera screen. On it it's also possible to do both from the same screen.
Is it possible to get both options on screen on the M8? or do i have to keep switching between photo & video mode in the menu? which is a bit annoying if i want to quickly take a picture but have forgotten to switch to photo mode!
Thanks in advance for any help. :good:
That'll be a no then
By going to video mode (press the 4 circles in bottom right of the screen and select video), you can start recording video, and after you record a while, 2-3 sec, a camera button (that captures images while recording) appears under the stop button.
I don't know if there is any other way to get them both simultaneously.
The second pic is dual capture mode. This mode allows to use front and back camera at the same time not take a pic and video. You can see the red box in the corner which is the front camera image.

What i meant is that the buttons to take a picture or start recording a video are both on screen.
What i hoped for was a way to have it like the last pic from the One X, so that as soon as you start the camera up you can have photo & video buttons on screen.. but it seems as if that's not possible, maybe because of the two cameras on the back of the M8?

What about the Zoe option? You can take pictures with it or you can hold the "capture" button in for 3 seconds or so and it starts recording a video.

There already is that option in camcorder mode. As soon as you start recording the camera button becomes available for taking pictures.

This isn't exactly the best option since you lose any ability to use the duo camera effects if you take pictures with Zoe. Does anyone know of any mods that bring back the photo capture and video capture buttons on the stock Sense 6 camera UI screen at the same time?
