I noticed the Nokia setup app is available in the Canadian marketplace. MMS works great as well as LTE. Internet sharing still not functional.

To get internet sharing working, see this post. http://forums.wpcentral.com/lumia-900/197920.htm. I used that and got MMS and Internet sharing working several weeks ago already. Hearing that the internet sharing is still not working makes me feel better for having done that since that was the biggest thing I wanted to have working so I'm glad I did the extra work from that post.
I had both (sharing and MMS) working since the day I got my device (back in June) and as far as I remember I didn't have to do anything special, beside tinkering a little bit with the MMS configurations... Maybe those issues you were having are network-related?

Are you on Rogers or did you unlock it and take it to another carrier?
I bought the phone from a Rogers subscriber then unlocked it. Its with TELUS.

Hi, I originally had issues with data and no MMS with Fido earlier this year. Based on the suggestion of another xda contributor I asked my to reset my data. I can't remember if I used the term provision but after that no issues even after using a t mobile sim in USA and flipping back. I barely tether anymore but recently used it and it was fine with internet sharing as well.
Anyways, hope you get it worked out....

I can confirm that running network setup on a att unlocked 900 will disable internet sharing.

This is a serious problem for me... All the sudden, my GNex stopped registering on T-Mo or At&t yesterday. It can detect both networks when scanning for them, but can't register. Non-rooted, non-deodexed non-anything GNex....Anyone got suggestions, solutions?

Hello I recently purchased a unlocked tmobile Samsung galaxy note 2 and was using it with Straight talk $45 plan and just yesterday I was using gps upon arriving to destination my 4g signal just turned off so know I am not able to receive mms or use web I tried changing apn settings to see if it will at least 4g signal turn on but nothing shows up I am able to receive call and regular text I need help please. ..Thank you

Ok well I found the fix I called straight talk and they had to reset my account...4g is back on thanks . ..Straight Talk

i have just purchased one of these bad boys in the 4g flavour but my carrier is 3 mobile so data is blocked as my sim is a phone sim and not a data sim
so anyone in UK can you please tell me what network you are on where you get full data calls and text

I am on three mobile one plan.....I am looking for a payg sim that I can put in my note 8 amd get calls text and data.....I can get calls and text but data is too important to forego

You can put in the phone Sim card with no problems. If you need to manually enter the apn, it's three.co.uk.

APN is already set to three.co.uk
I also have a letter H+ with data arrows flashing up and down
Not a huge response to my query, all I am asking is anyone using a note 8.0 as a phone.
I can go with watever network allows phone sim to work in a tablet but it will cost me a top up to find out who will work

If it's unlocked, then all sim cards should work. I've used it with a 3 sim and also a virgin mobile sim.

Not all sims....example my 3 mobile phone sim on their 1 plan....I am now with o2 on a 1gig sim onky conteact....so far calls text and data are working fine....hopefully it will stay working

Using the VZW Note 4 with at&t Sim. I know I can't get LTE, but:
A: I'm getting hspa+, but it seems really slow.
B: I can't send or receive mms at all?
I have the apn set up and everything. Not my first rodeo but thought maybe someone had some tips. Thanks!!
