Pictures: My white Evo with a black battery door

So I did this just over a week ago. I thought about how this would look ever since I bought the phone. Originaly I didnt want white, but it grew on me quick, and I love my white Evo. BUT.....I love this SOO much more!! Wish I would have done this the first day. I think Sprint/HTC should have sold them this way themselves. On to the pics!!

An "orevo" to be precise. It look like the Nike edition HTC Evo.

Hahaha yes! I've had mine like that for like 3 weeks. The sprint stores will just give you a battery door if you ask nicely (that's what I did). I walked right out of the store with an Orevo

that is pretty sick. Kinda jealous.

This doesn't remind anyone else of the look of the iphone 4? Black front and back, with silver'ish sides

I like the white on black look. Reminds me of a thread on Android central where someone shaved the black off the edge to expose the red.

It seems like you could make some money doing that work on ebay. Just post an ad saying that you can custom paint a whole bunch of different kinds of backs and as people order just order the backs off ebay and then paint them then send. Make sure to set the right expectation with the customer and say that it can take 2-3 weeks for delivery as each order is custom designed.
When you get rich send me a pm, I'll give you my paypal address for my slice of the pie.

i tried this with rubber coating for trucks, and paints...nothing would completely stick... it all rubs off slowly on your hands if you use rattle cans.. good luck..

You would definitely need to sand it first if it rubs off.

Lol if your printing plastic man at least take steel wool or scotch pad to it. It turned out great. Only one coat of clear. But it did take about an how to dry fully on top the red but I was at work so its cool x)

Me and my boss were actually talking bout selling customs backs no two the same.. Is there bulk back set I can buy? Im a great painter I think we could figure this out... Pm me send my your back I'll make yours pro! Already don't scotch cal on a few backs painted a few backs. Help me out and you WILL get a slice!!

[TRIDEA] ALLKE SF Coating case ROCKS!

The ALLKE case from TRIDEA was delivered to me 2 days back after waiting for more than a month. I must say that the wait has been worth it.
I won't be able to link to the images so I am directly attaching them with this post.
What I like about the case :
The case fits very well and feels nice and rubbery. The design on the back increases the grip and you just don't feel like leaving the phone. It's very light and it's weight is negligible. The cutouts for the power and volume keys are perfect. All in all, its an ergonomic case that will provide excellent protection from a drop.
What I don't like about the case :
It doesn't protect the top and the bottom completely.
*I am starting to like this since it does not interfere with the outlets for the power supply or the headphone jack.

I have posted pics as attachments. The only difference between the two posts is the color of the case.

I can confirm the cover is compatible with the screen protector, also from TRIDEA.

thin brushed metal backskin

i was amazed to find this made it an instant buy so i just wanted to share this

it's a thin film you put on the back of the phone to give it a brushed metal look unfortunatly it is not what i thought when i saw it i thought it was a very thin piece of metal you attach at the back
but it seems to be vinyl i hope that won't make it feel cheap

I had that exact "sticker" for the xperia z. That saler also has it in carbon. I really liked it and didn't feel cheap. It had a texture to it and those were perfectly cut out. One small problem it did had was that if you put your phone in water, the sticker leaves a residu and it kinda moved a bit. Now i have the white z1, and i really like it naked as it is. Maybe i will buy these later in black!

If only it was a case...

I think it looks really good. How does it feel? And how about scratch resistance? Still, I do love the Z1 design.

What do you guys think about this case?

Actually I just ordered on from Amazon last night. I like the S curve on the back and that type of soft flexible case. Would think it would hold up better if you dropped phone, but don't know this for sure.

It surely would! I have had this case for many other devices and because it wraps around the screen it protects the actual screen from coming into contact which reduces the chance of shattering the screen. Great case for a low price!

I bought the clear (transparant) one, it's easily get dirty, and it seems i can't make it clean,
It's good for its price, but maybe it's better to pick the colored ones

I guess anything like white or transparent will get dirty quick

mine looks different to the one in the op/video...bought off eBay (Australian seller, as I live in Australia) - as you can see the camera cutout is different.

I really wanted mine to be like that as well! I have no clue why mine is two different cut outs!
