Hey guys,
So I got my hands on this big boy..and tested it ..and of course made a video lol.
Let me start saying im not a fan of extended batteries but they do the job. I had both..seidio and mugen...and the performance is very close. however, the mugen looks less bulky and feels better
It lasted me a total of 2 days 5 hrs using every resource on it. I was very happy with the results..but 100 bucks?? come on! I think if they dropped the price to like 70 bucks this will sell like crazy
Hope you guys enjoy the video

pretty good review, you should have included some screen shots of the battery usage screen... to give us an real time idea of your real world usage... i thought about purchasing it... but that battery makes the phone look hideous....
This is a review for 3900mAh Verizon/Sprint battery from Mugen
The 4000mAh international i9250 battery is here
someone should do a review for the 2000mah mugen slim battery.
Guys, just do this, save $$ and get a SUPER battery
Go get this: QCell Samsung Galaxy Nexus GSM i9250 3850mAh Extended Battery + FREE Battery Cover
Seriously $20 from Amazon.. check my sig, using this configuration I easlily get two days and I have no battery-saving software installed and most of my widgets are set to update every hour, so this thing is going constantly. Seriously, this Qcell is just amazing for the money.. forget about those $45-$60 batteries and just get this.. you can thank me later.

I am wondering the same thing.
As far as the Mugen extended battery, I love it.. its as good if not better then Iphone 4 battery and lets me go 2 days without charge. The only thing I dislike is the backcover and how hard its to find a case for the phone. Almost makes me want to put back the 2100mah battery in but performance is so bad

How much do they pay you for posting this? All those batteries out there for around $20 or even lower are rubbish. I'veen so many 'reviews' about cheap ass batteries of even $9, saying they really last twice as long. Bullcrap. I bought myself such a 3800mah and tested it with Antutu. Compared to the stock battery it only has 40% more capacity. Far from AT LEAST (2x1750=3500mah) double the capacity.

After reading a few reviews on here about the generic eBay extended batteries and the overpriced Mugen extended one I decided on the Hyperion 5000 mAh battery.
It was available on Amazon for ~20 bucks + $4.99 shipping: http://amzn.to/xtT3Sf
Performance so far has been GREAT, twice as much as the stock battery probably more - i got 6+ hours of screen time! I would definitely recommend it over the generic eBay crap and the good but WAY overpriced Mugen battery
Here is what it looks like:

I have not seen this on eBay yet, but it is available on Amazon (see the link in the original post). With the Amazon option available, I wouldn't buy it from eBay in case you want to return it.
It is a big battery- twice as big as the regular one. But I gotta tell you though i have gotten some crazy screen-on and general use time from it. I am going to try to make a usage numbers screenshot in the next week or so when i take my Note on a 4 hour flight

Wow! That thing is certainly thick..!
I'm still waiting on the arrival of my Note, but have a look at the "Tecknet iEP387".
Can't post links cos I'm still a noob ^^
To me it makes more sense that I can just sling an external battery pack in my bag to plug in whenever I feel I might need the extra juice. That and of course the 7000mAh capacity is higher (and can do all my devices).

Stand by time? Not by a long shot. Two official batteries at 2500 will have at least the exact same capacity of an aftermarket 5000, if not more.

Anker is probably the best of the bunch but aftermarket batteries tend to over rate their batteries but in the real world they perform just the same as the stock one. I say either get the OEM extended battery with/cover or just stick with the OEM one and find a long lasting battery kernel. GL

As for longevity is concerned, i think it should be fine! How long are u thinking abt? Planning to keep the same phone for 5-10yrs?
This extra battery for my galaxy nexus i have had for just 3 months... So i can't comment! But i had similar ones for my nexus s for 1.5 yrs and they functioned perfectly! I have sold them along with the nexus s to a friend and she still uses them without any issues! So i think of u can get 1yr of extra battery life asking with an extra charger for under 10$, then go for it!

Using one now on my Note 2. I put it in 2 days ago. First full charge i got 1 hour more than stock battery. Going to report back after a few cycles in a couple days. My stock battery is 3100 mah/ Sporting Persistance is 4380...Will let you know
Just remember you won't have NFC capabilities, if you ever use it for anytime.
I dont use nfc. Bit how would that work anyway? The antena is on the phone itself how does the battery make nfc work?
I bought this battery to switch back and forth so if i did use nfc would it work when i put the stock battery back in?
Does nfc work with the zero lemon setup?
Sorry for all the questions just dont really know much about how it works but i do know what its for.

My stock sami battery doesnt say anything about nfc....my wifes gs3 says near field communication. So i guess i never had nfc option to begin with.
Is there any way to test the mah on a battery? After 5 charge cycles ot lasts about 2 to 3 hours longer and about 30 min more screen time than my stock battery. Its kinda close to call but i dont think it is the full 4380 mah they claim. I would love to know for sure though.

Few days of use now and this battery is horrible. I tested with stock battery about 7 months old. Tryed doing exact same thing with both batteries as close as i could. I also tested both playing candy crush saga for hours straight with same exact apps runnimg in background all times using greenify.
Conclusion is persistance is a complete lie. Stock battery blew it away in every category. Do not purchase waste of money. I hate scammers like this. Gonna send them email if they even have one.

I've gone through a number of batteries and long story short, they've all sucked. Even the original stock battery was crap. I've been using this battery for almost 4 weeks and I've been getting absolutely stellar battery life. I'm well beyond that initial conditioning phase.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2450mAH-EB6..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item4ac2c14f8b
2450mah. I'm usually skeptical of higher mah ratings as you can only cram so much juice into a given form factor, but I'm left wondering if lion chemistry has really improved this much. Ever so slightly thicker than a standard stock battery (same size as the 2100mah andida if anyone else had one), but fits the stock battery back w/ a bit of manipulation. E4GT is stock GB27 (w/ root). I'll get more screenshots now that I'm really paying attention to performance.
I'm getting consistent 4hours+ of screen on time while actively using the phone. 2 google accounts, sync enabled, no kernel tricks, 'auto' screen brightness (not lowest), haven't even disabled useless apps, etc.
Sample size will soon be 2; i've ordered a 2nd battery for my wife's phone so I'll compare once it gets here.
tldr: 4+, could probably eek out 5 hours of active screen on phone use w/ a standard size (non-ugly hump) battery.
Nice I can barely get 1 hour of battery life from mine.

I'm wondering this too.
im also wondering if this is legit...not a bad investment for $7 but it wouldnt even be here for another month. I just got an epic 4g for $50 and am super satisfied with it (coming from the beast Note 2)...I'm actually surprised with its performance all around EXCEPT for the battery life. I do realize the battery and phone are close to 2 years old which is why im looking into a new battery.....
but really, selling my note 2 for 400 and picking this up for 50 is prob the best investment I ever made, saving my upgrade for "the next next big thing" :good:

Yes, you still use the same stock back the phone came with, its just tighter.
The only question in my mind is longevity, as I have purchased some knockoff batteries (sold as Samsung OEM with almost identical labeling as the original battery), that started to degrade within a month and now are useless except for short term emergencies.
Most people on these forums swear by Anker batteries, which I've never tried, but I still have Ferocity Mobile batteries (bought on ebay but no longer sold) which are still going strong. They just dont hold a candle to these 2450s,so they are my backup batteries now (have two Epic Touch phones in the family).
I will report back periodically on how they are performing over time.

Hi guys. So I basically had a problem with my phone a while back, and I actually asked you guys but no one knew what the problem was. I realized I fried my battery, and I was searching every where for a cheap 3800 mAh one and I managed to find this guy:
So I was like, "Hey, it's 10 bucks, I can't go wrong, right?" and I ordered it.
It came in the mail within 5 days, which was like 6 times faster than those Chinese websites.
I put the battery on my phone and it works!
Now, I don't have a regular battery to compare with this 3800 mAh one, but I can tell you my regular one lasted me about 12 hours, from 7 am to 7 pm on a weekday.
My regular usage is 3 hours of learning Korean on my bus rides, playing music with speakers for 4 hours, sitting in my pocket when it's not doing anything, and sometimes some YouTube when I get back home.
This new 3800 mAh battery lasts for 26 hours with the same usage, and that's after I've watched an episode of Suits on my phone in bed =D
It is fatter than the regular battery, but that is to be expected from any 3800 mAh battery. It doesn't actually add much more weight to the phone. My regular case won't work with the increased bulk of the phone, but they do give you a new fatter battery cover, which feels pretty good in your hands. The shade of gray of the new battery cover matches the shade of gray of the phone.
I also need to download a better screen shot app, because all the screenies of the battery life that I took turned out black =O

There's already a 3800mah thread full of insights just like yours! BTW the main problem with it is it degrades quickly. after 4 months, mine's giving me about 4:45min screen on time, earlier it was 6. In comparison, the standard battery gives 3 hrs so it's a huge step up! Definitely worth the 10 bucks, and should last until the nexus 5 arrives anyway!
I actually want to make this phone last as long as possible. I might even skip the nexus 5 and go nexus 6 lol. Who knows, maybe by that time the nexus 6 will be implanted in our brains.

Haha, that's actually possible. I'm on cataclysm 4.3 right now, this rom makes the phone fly like it's a galaxy s4! All the games work, multitasking is reasonably good, and there's definitely going to be a 5.0 update coming for it so I don't see why not!

I'm also thinking about buying a battery like you, watching your theme has encouraged me more thanks for sharing your experience :good:
I too have an aftermarket 3800mah battery and I love it! Definitely recommend it for everybody.

I got one similar to this. It seemed to have lost it's capacity fairly quickly. At first it worked well. I wonder if this may have been due to CM 10.2 as well.
It looks similar to the Hyperion. It does degrade quickly. mine now only lasts about 28 hours with only about 2 hours of screen time. It's too bad, because when I got a full day of hiking with gps tracking it was awesome.

I have got a similar $10 battery folks. Now i did not get an external charger for out, is it alright if i charge with my regular USB port with the samsung 1A charger. Also m not getting any mind blowing backup compared to my 1700mah stock battery, just marginally better. I have just done 3 cycles with it may be it will improve.
One more thing the battery percentage
falls rapidly once it gets to 20. I mean its almost like a percent per minute, dunno what to do about it. :banghead:

I the same or similar battery. One day i tried using it (its my backup) and I cannot get the cover to snap into place. No matter how much I push on it the tabs are just getting messed up and I could not get all of them to click into the body of the phone. I used to work fine when I got it, as i recall.
Have you had this issue?

With this battery, you have to use the extended back cover. Mine works fine and its even easier to get on and off than my original cover. The original cover will not work with this battery.

I bought this on the 6th and haven't received anything yet.... and the tracking on the Tmart website isn't showing where my package is... just that it shipped on the 6th... Kinda feeling this is shady now?
