I Switch ROMs very often and Im tired of installing a File Manager from Play Store again and again. Most of the ROMs doesn't come with a Pre-Installed File Manager.
I've tried to create a CWM flashable file manager myself by following a guide but couldn't get the Zip to be flashable, And I've tried putting the Apk in the ROM itself and It worked but When I try to open the File Manager it crashes upon start.
So I request, Can anyone please make a CWM flashable File Manager app for me and many other people out there?
Please use Rhythm Software File Manager (Market/PlayStore Link Given + APK file Attached)

Thanks in Advance

Wondering if all zip files (apps, obviously) are flashable. Suppose I download an app in a Zip file and I flash it using CWM, does it get flashed and turn into a system file? I have also noticed that there a images in a few zips I've downloaded and extracted (using androzip). What happens to these images when i flash the zip?
Seriously confused.
Apps and .zips are two different things.
You cant install apps through flashing(Except if someone has made a flashable .zip)
Also apps are not in .zip/.rar format they are in .apk and can be installed through your file manager
Thats why we have a FAQ thread stuck in the section... pls ask questions there..
Hello,
Does anyone can post the free OI File manager in CWM package for Jelly bean?
It will save a lot of time when switching to a new rom!
Thanks in advance
I'm not sure what you meant.
Are you looking for this?

Or, is it a flashable zip that contains OI File Manager? Why do you want it? Just curious
I am looking for a flashable zip of a file Manager. I can install it when I change Rom and this way it is not necesary for me to set up a google account. I can restore all my previous settings and backups if I have a file manager.
Anyone can help with a flashable zip CWM of a file manager?
Thanks
You can add/insert the file manager into a rom.zip then flash the rom.zip that has the included file manager. You have a file manager at the first boot.
I can make the flasable zip for you if you still want to
Here you go.
Thanks. Really nice from you. Just what I needed.

Yes, I noticed when I flashed CodeNameAndroid ROM, which includes a file mgr, that you can do pretty much everything you need to do without a Google account or even gapps. The exception is that paid apps that check their license on the play store still need all that stuff. Otherwise you're free of Google.
If you ever need to make a flashable zip out of any app, you can always use "App2zip" by SCDevs.
Hello to all of my Fellow Sprint Galaxy S users.
For all of you who are using these awesome alternative ROMS. I have ran
into the issue of wanting the original Samsung S-Cloud and not having it in some roms.
For all of you that are looking for them, I have compiled them into a useable file that you can install if you want them.
In order to use the file, here is what you need to do:
1. Download the zip file located from this thread.
2. Unzip file and put on root of external sd-card.
3. Open file with any file manager.
4. Install all of the apks on your device and reboot device.
Now that you have installed the apks, you can set up your S-Cloud and utilize Samsung Allshare Play.
Does anybody know of an app that would allow me to edit .zip files on my phone? Sometimes before flashing a ROM I like to remove some system apps, which I use winrar for on my PC. But I use es file explorer on my phone and it can only view and extract .zip files. thanks to anyone who can help!
Nevermind! I did a quick search on play store after I posted this, not sure why I didn't do that first but ZArchive does exactly what I need.
