Like your description for the phone, i believe everybody here in the form feels like you do. If the evo 4g had such a huge amount of developers around it, I can only imagine the amount of love this phone will get.

The good thing is that the GSII has been out for a few months, and has plenty of development. I wonder if the base stock ROM is similar.
Oh yeah...this device is just, really what Android should be. It's borders on g'damned religious epiphany.
Samsung definitely did it right with the Galaxy S2.

Finally! But its nothing like that 3D POS got. I loved the Evo 4G but IMO the NS4G and this new beauty have been the best phones since it...although the Photon wasn't bad at all but returned it before my 30 days for the S2.
Any word on CM for this thing?

I think I saw about the same, 3-5 commercials during games...and like 3-5 dozen J-Lo Fiat commercials. But I digress.
I think they're not over advertising because supplies/distribution are really low right now. I know the Sprint store we got our phones from only had 14 in-store on Friday (they had 5 on Tuesday when I reserved 2, and then got another 9 in Friday morning), and were down to 3 when my wife and I picked ours up 2-hours before close. The Best Buy across the parking lot only got in 2 for Friday, and no accessories at all.
I really suspect that they are probably saving some revenue for a big push with the new iphone. I love my epic touch but I think the the new Iphone will be the perfect phone for my girl. Way off topic though. I agree OP I am in love with this phone too. My day off today my girl went out and I stayed home all day messing with my new toy.
I'm headover heels in love too!....(cept...I'll probably betray her when Nexus Prime is onveiled...shhhh)

Some people just don't care about all that stuff. They just want the thing their friends have, or the phone that everyone has. Ohh the Iphone has 3G, a 3 inch screen, and everytime I plug it up to my computer iTunes freaks out and a million pop ups appear. Yeah it looks great, I'll take 3 of them..... But its their lost. I love my MacBook though. The Lion OSX makes Windows OS look like ****. Well any OS makes Windows OS look like ****. Definitely just went on a 3AM rant.... Well goodnight!

My wife told someone at work she was getting a new phone and someone asked, what are you getting an iPhone. She was like no way, my husband won't let me and says they suck. Then another person who has one was like, no it doesn't everyone has one...
Yup, there you go folks that proves it all! iPhones are awesome because everyone has one! I am glad we got that settled.
Anyway, she got the HTC Rezound for Verizon. Believe it or not the screen is actually pretty beautiful on that thing. That device is what the EVO 3D should have been.
I would also be curious to see how many E4GT's sold just for Sprint.

My wife got an iPhone 4S the same time i got the samsung Epic Touch 4G and dont get me wrong. The iPhone is a nice device. But Siri sucks. I laughed at my wife yesterday. She tried using siri to navigate to walmart. It kept denying her. Lol. I opened up voice search and said the exact same thing my wife asked Siri and guess what. IT WORKED PERFECT. My wife was pissed. I told her Thats what you iSheep get. Come to find out siri is still beta testing. Lol. Thats something they fail to say on there iSuck Commerials. Lmao. God i love Android.

I'm sure Samsung can release patches to remove offending pieces of code. But it is interesting that while the court of appeals suspended the GNex injunction, they kept the 10.1 injunction in place. Maybe something more serious. I'm not a lawyer, but it really doesn't matter as that particular tablet had dismal sales

Besides, many are selling their G Nexus to get the newer phones. Lots of second hand units around.
On the other hand, why bother paying millions in patents if you don't plan to use them suing your competitors' asses off. That's the whole point about IP.

There are Tons of people buying the nexus still. Its 350 no contract for the us GSM version. It also has jellybean which is also another very good selling point.

Dominate? I don't know where you received your education but 30% isn't exactly dominating the market... Its not even close to leading the market. Android has been in the lead for quite sometime now and oh yeah I don't know if you got the memo but Apples visionary is dead as a doornail. Apple is in big trouble and if you think the iPhone5 is going to magically reverse the market trend and reclaim the throne for Apple then your crazier than a cockroach soaked in Raid or an Apple fanboy... either way your days are numbered. Nobody needs to convince you. Go to the sprint store and play with their demo for 15-20 mins, use the stylus the whole time.
You'll get your answer better that way because it IS a sizable size difference to hold and that's the biggest issue I've found so far. But I'm getting use to it darn quickly. ha

That's the one thing I may have a issue with is the size that I'm sure with enough time it will become second nature to me. I'm looking on the development forum now trying to find a rom that's close to what I'm running on my s3

Battery life was a deciding factor for me... The size won't be a problem after awhile... You get use to it... Development increases everyday... You won't be disappointed.

just to reiterate, my 2 cents:
the size was only weird for about 2 days, now it feels mostly normal.
but the battery, the CPU, the screen? all big points to win with.
runs All day with Heavy use (games, chat, SMS/MMS, music, +plus all the other stuff), and some to spare for when i get home
(the only exception to this would be using Nav, but you should be powering your phone when doing that anyway...)
never stutters, never lags, runs every damn thing i throw at it, and sometimes two things at once. aaaaaaa. mazing.
movies/youtube look fan-freaking-tastic on it. pictures look fantastic. games look fantastic. reading feeds/pages/docs/anything at all, fantastic.

well i came from the s3 to the note 2. at first it felt really big in my hands but after like 2 days i use use my wifes s3 and im like dang this screen is too small lol! anyways pull the trigger you wont regret it. the s pen makes this device better than the s3 by itself but you will notice the faster processor and netflix is really enjoyable on this thing. i was going to get a 7 inch tablet but now i don't need it.
S3 is for women lol

I own the s2 s3 and gn2. The gn2 is in a category of itself. Never had I experienced this awesome batterylife in another phone. I was also concerned with size but that's now a thing of the past. As stated by other users screen size, faster processor and spen were the deciding points.

At first i thought the battery was not going to last the day with normal/hard use cause of the large screen, I was wrong the battery is just amazing will easy and I do mean easy last a day and then some.
Everything that guy said minus the never lags part..It indeed does have some lag, especially in the notification shade and the gallery app..seriously though the gallery app is annoyingly laggy..I've switched to quikpik but then you lose out on the special features that come with the note II..

Honestly i jumped on the note 2 as soon as it came out and sometimes do miss my s3. The size isnt an issue bc im 6ft 5 and can hold it with no issue. But the s3 is alot easier to handle with 1 hand. I sold my s3 and got a little over $500 for it bc i had alot of accessories so i only came out of pocket with about $150 for the note 2. If your happy with the s3 you will be happy with the note 2 bc it is very similar. But if you have to come out of pocket with alot of money to make it happen i wouldnt do it. I live in baltimore and theres some people offering $250 and there s3 for a note 2 and im considering jumping on it. Iam in no way sayin the note 2 is a bad phone all im saying is the s3 was and is still a very good phone and to me holds its own against any phone.

Let me tell u if u get this phone u will not be disappointed. I came from a s2 and the size in hand is a little hard to get used to but once u do it is all good. My girl ditched the iphone 4s for the s3 and she sometimes uses my note more then I do
