I picked up my Otterbox defender the other day from AT&T. I really love this case. The fit isn't perfect for the One X though. All buttons and ports match up but like the commuter the camera doesn't align perfectly. Also the bottom Mic doesn't align perfectly but it doesn't affect call quality. The power button only works if you press the very left of it. Everything works like you would expect. This case doesn't affect the use of the phone at all.
I recommend this to anyone needing a rugged case. 8/10 Overall.

Can you take some more detail pictures. Such as a thickness comparison, front, back, a close up on the camera lens. Or maybe a video review? Anyway thanks for the time to express your opinion on this case.
Sure I can do that. I'm not sure how soon it will be though. I have a hectic work schedule.

Seems from the picture that the camera and flash holes don't line up properly. Is that true or is it just bad photo angle?
Please note that Otterbox clearly states that both the Commuter and the Defender are compatible with "HTC One X (AT&T and Canada ONLY)".
Keep in mind that if you have an international One X, the case will have that annoying misalignment around the camera and flash.
how hard is it to take out/put back in?
Judging from the pics, its seems it doesn't have good fitting where the camera and flash are located. The back, like all Otterbox models, is ugly and not good aesthetics-wise and ergonomics-wise. I will choose Trident Kraken in a heartbeat, Ballistics SGP, a close second. Just my two cents!
You all are correct about the fit of the case. It's not perfect like it is with the One XL but this does not impair any of the phone's functions. It's mearly a cosmetic flaw.
But the phone becomes very large. I had a cover on the DHD, it's just terrible.
Yes this case does increase the size a great deal. I've also grown to hate the way that the built in screen protector distorts the clarity of this beautiful screen. It's a noticeable difference and I can't stand it. The screen is arguably the phone's best feature, why distort it?
I am considering a change to one of the spec cases.

Just got mine today and here are some more pics: It is somewhat annoying taking it out of the clip though but....you can mount the phone any which way you want in the clip.
Thanks for the extra pics. I found the clip a tad bit annoying as well but my phone hasn't fallen out yet which is a plus.

I've tried to get the case in the UK, But on the website it says its still "coming soon".
I really really want to get it as I love the look
it gives the device a nice bulk to it.

I just recieved my Otterbox Defender from Otterbox and the fit is spot on.
I wonder if the [email protected] case was a first run.

I used to have an otter box commuter, however the outshell cracked pretty bad. The situation that cracked it is pretty bad, I'm surprised that only the case broke, so I have nothing bad to say about the protective levels of the commuter. However, I obviously need a new case, since right now I just have the commuters silicone cover on. I was thinking about getting another commuter, but the innocase activeX case caught my eye. Does anyone have any opinions about these two cases in comparison to each other?
I haven't tried the commuter, but the active-x case is really nice. I've recently picked up a defender (just had to try it), but the fit is not as nice as the active x. Plus the active x has the corner protection with the spider. I'd give the active x a shot. I think I have some images posted in a thread here in accessories.
dm
A big concern about the Active-X is the buttons. They look like they'd be hard to press with the case on. How is it?
Much easier then on the defender. I never had any button issues. Easy to push, can do just by feel etc. One thing that is really nice on the active x is the feeling of the side contours, it feels nice and more secure in your hand. I did have some rubber peeling issues on a blue activex. Seido made good on it, through the reseller, and sent me another case, without needing the old case back, or even images of it actually.
So in this house we have three captivates, 2 currently in activex cases and one/mine currently in a defender. I still have the extra active x case and might be going back.

Love my commuter.
Fit is perfect and buttons are easily pressible.
There is a small crack developing on the top corner by the micro-usb port. It has taken some major damage though, so.
Commuter is by far the best captivate case

I've heard outterbox has great customer service you should call them and see if you can get the shell replaced. They might do it for free.
LOVE my Commuter. Dropped it several times, not even a scratch in the plastic of the case.
This case is pretty nice, I have the Diztronics Matte Case and this far superior.
EDIT: It appears I messed up with adding images, so I provided direct links to a Picasa album under the corresponding text.
First off, I'd like to point out its design.
https://picasaweb.google.com/103360287160249925033/GNexTPUCaseReviewImages#5694664838498885570
This case uses a combination of three forms of TPU.
The back uses two, and the side has the third. From the photo, the majority of the back is matte with a gloss design on the side of the back.
Now for the TPU on the actual sides on the phone:
https://picasaweb.google.com/103360287160249925033/GNexTPUCaseReviewImages#5694666212754847586
It's a nice textured form of TPU that provides a great amount of grip without making the phone impossible to slide in and out of a pocket or gather dust like silicon. It may just be that I'm fourteen, but I always found the Galaxy Nexus a bit slippery, or maybe it's because of this the darn phone gets, which looks great but isn't entirely practical.
The case itself doesn't add much to the size of the phone, but it provides decent, and very eye catching protection.
https://picasaweb.google.com/103360287160249925033/GNexTPUCaseReviewImages#5694664844600398466
The back of the case is also raised near the camera to prevent scratches that phones like the EVO were plagued with.
https://picasaweb.google.com/103360287160249925033/GNexTPUCaseReviewImages#5694666188166111906
The volume buttons get a dedicated cover, as expected, but makes them feel mushy, but they're really small to begin with.
The cutouts on the phone are pretty big and shouldn't have any issues, and there is also a double-holed thing at the bottom for lanyards.
https://picasaweb.google.com/103360287160249925033/GNexTPUCaseReviewImages#5694666177130719426
This is overall a great case, for its price its pretty hard to beat as well. You can find it here on Amazon.

That looks like the cover I had on my Incredible. I liked it, especially when I cut it to fit my extended battery... hehe! Though I dont know if the material is the same.

I've had this since launch, it costed me ~£4 from ebay which I was really pleased with.
So far it has treated me well, feels good, looks pretty good and protects my phone.
I should receive the Diztronic Matte Case sometime next week, I was hoping for that to be an improvement on this! (OP doesn't think so! )
I like that. I am using the stock one from Verizon. I am still waiting for a good case, but this one is pretty nice. I want a clip too I think. However, I break clips by bumping into things

2 dollars from Ebay.

This is the only Galaxy nexus case I currently have, and boy does it get the job done for $2 from Amazon.
Almost got the cruzerlite but the price was right on Qubits.
Anyone know if I were to purchase an extended battery if it would fit with this case? Any extended batteries you'd recommend (for GSM) that won't break the bank (or my phone)
I ordered a clear one from amazon for $1.75. My old smoke TPU case was turning a bit yellow so I ordered this to replace it for a while. I'll post pics if anyone is interested.
Yeah I wouldn't mind seeing that thanks
Hi guys,
Got my hands on the CandyShell Grip case, from Speck at my local AT&T store. This is a one-piece hybrid style case that incorporates silicone and plastic in one. So while you get a sleeker case (since it's not 2 pieces) while obtaining the benefits of both materials. It's pretty simple to put on, and I love the look - but removing this case is very, very difficult.
Check out the full review below:
Damn that looks cool. Where to buy online with shipping to europe?
The case looks really cool and protective!
The downside (and the reason why I am not buying that one) is the volume-rocker and power button
I really like the look of the case! Interesting to see it on a white One X.
BTW, Speck's website claims that the case will be available in mid-June, while obviously they are available right now. Pretty annoying.
Can't post links but go to speckproducts.com and search for HTC One in the search box and you'll see.

Thanks! As I thought, the case does looks much better on it.
Can you post a picture of the front of the phone too?
Did you buy the case from at&t?
I have that very case and I think it is great. I have no problems at all with the on/off and volume switches. They are firm but not difficult to press as the video seems to imply. Nor was it particularly difficult to remove if you start from the stretchy earphone jack area. I particularly like that the case is just thick enough to protect the camera lens when lying on its backside. And for me the look is strikingly good.

In the video you say:
"...the silicone will allow you to...manure them out of place.."
Can you please explain that in more detail please?
I like to get replaced my hox back cover with new one . I can find many on web for 40$ but I can't judge which is good quality. Can anyone recommend me ?

Get the Otterbox Commuter! Superb protection and reasonable thickness. Think it should be more compact than similar cases of its class like the casemate tough or pop and ballistic sg.
Got it for 23usd with shipping from amazon!

One thing to note. the rear camera cut-out isnt perfect but doesn't affect photo taking in any way.

I wanted to get the capdase for the longest time as im a sucker for metallic touches. But I saw some reviews on the taobao site saying there was a gap between the rubber and metal. Some adhesion issue so I didn't in the end :s

what I don't like about otter box is that. It seems to cover the secondary mic which is used for video taking.
I ordered a double dip case from amazon. How is the case? Any thoughts on it?

It's a good case, my only problem with it was that dirt would get all stuck inside the speaker holes on the case.

Everyone's got there own choice but why would someone want to cover up the sexy looks of the HTC One so much? I've bought a HTC One last week and I've ordered the case below should come on Monday, looks great prospect I'm sure it won't disappoint.

I searched pretty thoroughly for that one as well, didn't just pick it randomly from a list.
That is nice. I have the bear motion case on it right now. It cracked after 5 months of use...

I just got the Double Dip a few days ago and I love it. It's solid, but super thin, which is nice. Cases like the OtterBox make your phone huge and heavy, but his adds a minimal amount of weight and size which is nice.
The fact that it just snaps together makes cleaning really easy. You just have to unsnap, pull, and then clean. Removing the device if you want to is also really easy. You can just pull off one of the ends and then pull the device out.
It would be nice to see the Double Dip come bundled with a screen protector, but that's not too big of a deal.
The pattern on the case for the speaker holes is three rows, while device has four rows, so they don't match up perfectly. I haven't noticed any reduction in sound quality because of this though.
HTC also just released the ability to do customized Double Dip cases and I assume that you could buy some of those and snap them in with the other Double Dip cases as well (though that would require buying more than one case).
Best case I''ve ever owned for a phone. It's as minimal as it gets but still offers a great degree of protection. It's quite the looker too, a real head turner wherever I go. I love the soft touch/matte finish (think Nexus 5), makes it much easier to handle compared to the metal finish of the phone itself. One word of advice make sure your phone is free of dust and grime when you first install the case b/c it's a very tight fit and you may end up scratching the phone. other than that you won't be disappointed

I ended up getting a double dip with navy blue and grey tips....I love the case. so much better looking than the red tips of the original case. I'm glad they finally gave us options
I got this case in full black for my black HTC One and the matte layer on both ends came off after a couple of days, really disappointing.. Still looks pretty good but for the price I expected better. Curiously on the middle piece it doesn't show any damage even after a few weeks.
very good case , using it from a month withot any complaints
Best way to take this case off? feel like I'm going to damage. Is there a pressure point someplace that will help pop off the bottom or top parts?
