Not really... Some ROMs actually restore your wallpaper when you sign in to Play Store. My old Sony Xperia did it every time I reflashed.

Still getting stuck on the LG logo on bootup after flashing the rom. I wiped data, caches, from within CWM. It just won't boot. Unsure what I am doing wrong here. The instructions are pretty simple.
Been using this for about 10 mins. This thing is incredibly smooth!!!!!!
I just tried the oldway of flashing this.. Being I am stuck in CWM on my phone from yesterday.
Downloaded and than pasted on SD card put it back in the phone pulled the batery. Then I flashed it twice, rebooted and still in CWM yet it said installed on the bottom of the screen I got the Install Completed.
I have NO clue what is up ... Can't return it wih CMW sitting on it for sure...

Much like this post says. I was someone with the same problem and stumbled across this thread. The first method of CWMInstaller +volume down worked for me. The 2nd method with RecoverX installed fine but couldn't get it to boot into recovery.
Hello everyone,
I recently tried to flash the newest JellyBAM, 7.0.
I have tried to use the standard process of factory reset/wipe cache/wipe dalvik and I have also tried to format system in that process. When I install zip, it works fine and then i go to reboot system. the farthest it will go is the Samsung screen. Why is it doing this? I went back to recovery mode and flashed my old ROM but I'd really like to try JellyBAM. Any help?
Try redownloading the Rom, probably a bad download

Your best bet is to flash that mod twrp. If it fails,I suggest u flash that ruu

What I mean is...flash that recovery then reflash your ROM. If u still get reboots, just flash that ruu...I don't think a certain recovery will interfere with flashing an ruu

can someone help me i cant boot into recovery, and apps are still FCing.
Symptoms:
-Unable to boot into recovery/bootloader
-Force closes system app or installed apps
-Stored settings changes on reboots
-Random reboots while phone is idle
-Constant reboots while restarting it and doesn't know when it will boot normally.
All above mention symptoms are related to HARDWARE FAILURE! Bare in mind that not all of them you'll see it on your device. But any of one you face, will might probably having chance of hardware failure.
You or here on xda users can't resolve your issue. So don't try anything from now on wards. Use it as is. Or sell it and move to another device.
Unless you have some local cheap repair shops where they might evaluate the issue then fix it that way, rather than calling into HTC service center.
And i forgot to mention, you probably have question in mind, How i know? My device is dying too. It reboots constantly before it boots normally, though it works fine. So symptom may vary device to device but cause is the same.

I told you. Run the 3.20 ruu. It might help.
As the title says, the phone gets stuck at a screen with HTC in the middle and 4 exclamation marks in each corner. I read on many forums that this might be a hardware problem(radio brick or something like that). This happened after a factory reset. Any ideas? Can this be fixed by flashing an RUU? In other words, is this a software problem?

That was while ago, but i don't think so. Why? What's the difference?
Cuz resetting that via bootloader will partition your SD card and internal SD on your device.

The drivers are ok. I can even run fastboot commands. So what should i do next? If I download an WWE RUU it will be good? My cid is: 11111111 but i can't find an RUU that matches the main-version (I belive is the radio). I don't want to install the wrong RUU because i heard you can hard brick your device (radio brick, etc...).
I ran a GB RUU but i said that is not the correct RUU for my device. I tried another one and i get error 120 (low battery). Now the phone is charging. I'll wait a few hours for the phone to charge. When i press vol+ and power button it vibrates 3 times, when i press both vol buttons and power butoon it vibrates 5 times. Is it ok? Please I need a quick fix because I need the phone to make&receive calls.
List of used commands:
-fastboot oem boot -- this boots the phone and after HTC logo it shows a white screen. I could use ADB from there but now i can't do that anymore.
-fastboot flash system system.img
-fastboot flash boot boot.img
-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
-fastboot flash zip rom.zip
None of these commands worked. Fastboot fails... Maybe is my cable (not an HTC one, i don't have an HTC cable and i don't know if i can get one from someone, but it should work with every microUSB cable because the PC detects it).
I have Android Studio (SDK) installed, HTC Sync + HTC Driver installer (i belive those 2 work together), Java 7 u 71 + Java SDK 7 u 67. Maybe the programs might be the problem.
I am counting on you: XDA members!

I am currently running again the GB RUU, I don't know the version and it started the process. I am at 40% updating the HBoot. Its stuck here now, maybe i have to give it time. On the Desire HD I can see a progress bar. Its at 70% i guess. Lets hope this is working. I'm going to try your method if mine fails.
I am stuck at this point. Should I let it continue? 10 mins already...
Ok. I stopped that one. I found on that site my stock image version 1.80.502.3. The radio does not match correctly, let's hope is ok. I am going to try this. I can't find a 3.20 RUU there...
Edit: the 1.80 version didn't work. I get error 158. Right now i think i need to find the best RUU for my device. I am thinking... : "If i can't find the right one?" I hope 1 works... Any ideas though?

It didn't work. But how that GB RUU worked after it gave me the same error? Those RUUs work when they want to... I didn't factory reset the phone. A friend did it by mistake but i don't know exactly from where.. I can't belive that i might not be able to fix it. Can i do something with fastboot commands? Is it fully bricked?
If u can access bootloader it isn't bricked. Search xda for flashing that GB via bootloader. Don't forget to rename that GB file
