[Q] Disable softkeys scaling in landscape? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So recently I got bored with the stock softkeys in ICS and decided to try some of the various modded keys. Most of the mods I wanted to try were simply smaller softkeys, so imagine my surpise when I opened up a few apps and rotated them to landscape, only to see the keys get smaller still. It's not unusable, but it does look really strange.
Now, I understand why the keys get scaled down for stock ICS, but there's absolutely no need to scale them for keys that would otherwise fit just fine in landscape. Is there a way to prevent the keys from auto scaling?

Screen rotation

Is it possible to rotate the screen clockwise to "landscape" mode?. It only works in anticlockwise tilt/rotation.
Am i missing a setting or is it anti left handed people design?
I think it was originally built this way because that's the way the G1's physical keyboard was oriented. For phones that don't have a keyboard... how does left-handed vs right-handed even matter?
Regardless, I don't know why it hasn't been updated, but I'm guessing it's just because it's not a huge bother to anybody or a very high-priority thing.

[Q] Would this work on the Desire? (Screen Density)

I came across this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=771684 ), and I wondered if this would work on the Desire (obviously needing to be in Recovery to access the system directory)?
Seems pretty cool!
or there is this on the front page, mentioned in the comments in that thread. looks a whole lot easier http://www.xda-developers.com/android/lcd-density-changer-application-v3-0-released/
The app doesn't work on desire.
I changed my dpi to 180. It looks great. No glitches if you turn off compatibility mode in spare parts.
Works great with adw launcher. Can fit 7x7 icons on the homescreen with ease.
Another bonus is the keyboard is shrunk to about 1/3rd of the screen.
I cannot recommend it enough.
The way I did it was copy build.prop from system, edit it and flash it back by a custom update.zip

[Q] Slow Screen Orientation Rotation?

Running a non-rooted G2.
Anyone else notice sluggish screen rotation when going from landscape to portrait or vice versa? It seems like it takes over 1s to switch, closer to 1.5s I would say just trying to count out loud.
The only running apps I have besides the stock ones are Tasker, LauncherPro Plus, Beautiful Widgets (1 large widget on homescreen), BattStat, and SwiftKey.
Any way to adjust the speed at which the screen switches orientation?
Thanks
LP+ does have its moments where it slows down. Original launcher is nicee enough no need to replace it
I've noticed a couple glitches related to this now that I've rooted. It's slow, then it shows the icons and even on screen keyboard in smashed or stretched pixels before it changes orientation. Just for a split second but it's annoying and never did it before.
Yeah, I don't know why the automatic screen rotation is so slow with LauncherPro.
My solution for now was to disable the auto rotate under LauncherPro's Behavior Settings.
The G2 switches instantly to landscape mode for you once you slide out the physical keyboard. No lag this way, but you don't get it to change orientation unless you slide out the keyboard.
I've noticed this too! I thought I was the only one. The funny thing is that when you're in a program that needs the accelerometer there is no lag, but on homescreen there is that slight delay when rotating from portrait to landscape.
I've had this issue with SF, corrected by setting desktop scrolling speed to 0 on ADW launcher setting.
Not sure if this will work on your device.

[Q] Reduce Keyboard textbox size in landscape

Is there anyway to reduce the landscape keyboard textbox size. It dont like the fact it takes up the full screen. It would be nice to still be able to read the message above it etc.
You can use a custom keyboard, popular ones from the market have a DPI setting in the keyboard setting, however for me the result was terrible removed it in minutes after that.

Split UI in Landscape

Hi all,
I wanna have my G3 use a two-pane layout whenever possible, in landscape mode. The way the Nexus 7 does it - flip to horizontal, you have 2 panes. Back to portrait - you have the regular phone UI with 1 pane etc.
I was wondering how to achieve this.
My phone's rooted and has Xposed installed, I tried App Settings and changed the DPI for some apps but the fonts just become tiny and unreadable at lower DPIs, and still I get no tablet mode in landscape nor portrait.
I tried a module called Phab7 but it didn't quite work.
Thanks!
