Is there a possibility to overclock my Artemis when there is an incoming call? My device needs about 5 secs from powering on to ringing. I guess this could be accelerated by boosting the cpu to 270 MHz for 10 secs while receiving a call.

Most ,if not all pocketpc phone devices need about 3 seconds before they ring ,there used to be a hack which eliminated that delay or at least significantly reduced this time ,i'll get back to you when i find it.
use smaller file for ringtone.
use .wma file instead mp3 or even .mid
My phone seems to lock up whenever I get a call and might answer after 10 seconds or might not answer at all. Has anyone else seen this? It seems to happen when I am on the phone dialler and an incoming call comes in.
It's very annoying because it means I have to take the battery out to stop it from ringing
I tried doing a hard reset and tried removing the o2 custom apps (it's an orbit) but I still have the problem.
I'm using spb mobile shell which I really like, but I'm wondering whether that's the cause of the problem
Hi. It's funny - my phone seems to ring immediately when there is a call, but an SMS is different. If off, the phone will switch on, and the screen lights up, but the text message can take up to 30 seconds before it actually displays. I know that a message is on its way now because the screen lights.. Very odd..

How many contacts do you have? Sounds too me you might have too many entries so when receive incoming call, WM5 take a while to match the number in contacts

I have a problem with my desire.
In 7 out of 10 times if i get a call the screen for picking up the call appears delayed and if that happens and i pick up the call when the screen appears it takes another 10 to 20 seconds until the person on the other hand can hear me.
I have no custom roms on my device.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Whenever I try to open the Phone app it take like 1 to 3 seconds and whenever someone calls me the phone starts vibrating for a whole second or two before it starts showing the caller id and then it starts ringing
Anyway to fix that ?

wow, no one has an answer for this ? and no one is suffering the same problem ?
Usually the dialing pad, and call history shows up quickly, i noticed in pass 3 weeks it is getting slower.
Sometimes when I tab it to dial, it just hangs there doing nothing even I can see a response after tabbing the name. Sometimes it will come up wait, force close or ok window. Sometimes I need to wait like 1 minute for the call to dial out.
Any idea why this is happening? Perhaps due to dial log too big? Or something else?

Lately I've noticed the system to be laggy intermittent. Often it's media-related, such as going into the gallery, activating the camera, or trying to attach a video to WhatsApp
Otherwise, what's been CONSISTENTLY slow is the dialer. After I enter a phone number and press dial, I've waited up to 10-15 seconds for the phone to actually transition to the next screen of actually dialing the number. Also frustrating is after I hang up, it takes 5-10 seconds to actually go from the active phonecall screen (with the call timer) to screen where it says "call ended" at the top of the screen where it will pause for another few seconds (during which I cannot call up the number pad so can't make another call) and then FINALLY it gives me back the number pad.
Most infuriating is the splash screen. Yes it's only 1-2 seconds. But my work requires me to make lots of quick short phone calls. The 1-2 seconds interrupts my work rhythm severely.
Is there a faster, free dialer out there? I wish the dialer was like what I had on the OnePlus X: simple, fast, no splash screen silliness and just works.
I never had anything lag in 3 months now. Maybe the multitasking animation skips frames when switching between apps, but that's it. I did disable 3rd party apps and most of Google **** except Play Store and YouTube.
