LED Notification light defective? - HTC One X

Hey,
Received my One X today, but I have noticed a problem with my LED light.
Has anyone experiences the same as on the picture below? It is like the light from the LED is pointing the wrong way and lights through the chassis.
Will bring it back to the show tomorrow.

I'd be OK with that.
At least you can see when you have a missed call, message or email whilst the phone is on silent.
Embrace it.

I'd be OK with that but my White HOX didn't do that.

I went to the store today, and they called the service center. It turned out that my phone was not the first one with this defect, so they gave me a new one

[Q] Notifications problem

I have a problem with Notifications on my HTC One X that i never had on any other android phone, When someone tweets to me or sends me a DM on Twitter i normally had a notification light and hear the notification sounds, but with The One X i hear nothing, there's also a delay getting the light to come on, what's the problem? i can't live without the notifications
Maybe a daft question but you have enabled each of these features within the Twitter App right?
I have indeed there aren't any options for notifications either

You need to click on your account name (Sebianoti) this will give you more options including those for notifications.
I'm such an idiot

Don't worry about it; it's not exactly obvious. Glad you have got it sorted.

[Q] Heavily decreased LED-light.

Hello guys. Here I will post a semi-blurry picture of my HOX, (the black), and my girlfriends HOX, (the white).
As you maybe can see, my led light is very heavily decreased, and I don't know why.
PS: Mine is rooted, my gf's is not.
And it's not because of one single rom, because of all that I've tried, (plenty), none of them have increased my led light.
It might not be important, but it really bugs me that I can't see when I get a new text message, etc.

Same problem for me after updating to JB
Are you sure it didn't get dirty in your pocket around the same time you updated? Just in case get a can of air-duster and give the front grill a good clean, it may save you the trouble of flashing roms and fiddling around. Mine gets dusty and dim all the time.

Create a kool lock screen notification display.

I have seen the Samsung CES show on youtube and was just woundering if

any of you developers can come up with a LOCK SCREEN NOTIFICATION DISPLAY. Where it shows text, missed calls and notifications moving on a strip peace when the screen is off. Just the strip shows with the notification. Like this one.
Just wanted to put this idea out there and maybe see if anyone can make this happen.

Mind posting the video?
I really dont think this will be possible, it would almost be like having an overlay or a floating text box set to the edge of the screen when the device is turned off. to activate the feature. maybe you can, but that sounds like a lot of work for a Dev to do.
sounds cool though.
It was just a thought. Im sure someone might be enticed to try. Never say never.

this is really noticeable when i set the brightness to max. is this rom/kernel related or is this an LCD defect? do i need to go to the service center so they can check it? thanks!
I also noticed it on my display few days ago , wasn't there before...
But mine is alot smaller so i don't even shure that they will see it in the service center ..
did you also set the brightness to max?
Yes you only really notice it on full brightness and mine is like the size of a rice grain anyway so you need to look for it to see it.
did you have it checked in a service center? or its not an issue for you?
I have the same problem, is it covered by warranty?

Bend in volume button?

Last night I purchased the 32gb silver T-mobile varient. I was feeling the volume button and felt an indentation/curve. I didn't think anything of this at first. This morning I looked at the button and the indentation is off center. So I found close up pictures of the phone on various websites and it shows the button being flat with no curve.
Has anyone else noticed this on theirs?
Also the button works fine, but it's now bothing my ocd knowing that it's not supposed to be there. Should I exchange?

i have a tmobile one and the volume button is absolutely straight.
If that's how you got it then you should exchange it. I would attempt an exchange just on principle.
I took it back to the T-Mobile and they exchanged it. First time they've seen it, but they also said I've been one of a hand full of people who bought the phone. I'm just happy to have a straight volume button lol.
