Cant hear ppl when calling??? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I flashed my phone today with ucle beta 5 from dark side... phone was working perfectly fine all morning... the last thing I remember I installed was "S-voice"
And I was getting the network problem with it so I solved it by modifying a file called " Build.prop"
I had to put "I9300" which is for galaxy s 3 and it worked so I took a nap and now my girlfriend is calling me and I can't hear her and she can't hear me neither....
I tested my speakers and they are good... my Mic works as well.
The file I put it back like it was before and I reboot it and it not working...
Why Is this happening ?
Any idea???
Please don't tell me I have to reflash

I would reflash...did you try to darkside cache wipe yet after resetting build.prop?
Just remove the s-voice apk just in case and make a back up and after you reflash just advance restore your data

always wipe if you have a problem with a rom and you know its been fixed
Well everything else works completely fine. Its just that roaming icon but I don't wanna reflash just to get rid of that one little problem is there a way I could could get rid of it without reflashing I'm on an evo by the way

Notification sounds not working

Starting today none of my notification sounds work. Not texts, email, etc. I even uninstalled handcent and installed go sms and nothing. When I try to pick a sound it just freezes. Ringdroid freezes when I hit the play button. If I try to change the sound through menu settings I get a settings force close.
I reinstalled the rom and kernel, fixed permissions, wiped caches and nothing. Other audio works.
I am running srf 1.2 with genocide 1.1 kernel.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Any ideas?

Did this happen after you installed the kernel or rom? If so that might be something to consider

Mine stopped working because I forgot to follow a step in the guide it was
" If you are not on an EC05 rom or SyndicateROM Frozen 1.0.1/1.0.2/1.1.0/1.1.1: Use Odinto flash the EC05 modem. UNCHECK EVERYTHING EXCEPT "AUTO REBOOT". Ensure you are on CWM3.1.0.1. Wipe data for best results, and flash the ROM. "
Hope it helps

yeah this happened to me recently on SRF 1.2.
My fix was I went into CWM and cleared cache, wiped dalvik, then fixed permissions. works again =)

Its either a Voodoo issue or something in the kernel. Rodderik is aware of the issue and looking into it. A simple reboot will fix it sometimes otherwise, ehat Shoulon said

I tired twilight kernel and installed voodoo from market and no help. The notification works once then stops. Ring droid does not work at all.
Any ideas?

I had this problem once SRF 1.1.1 when I was on it. I had to back up my SD card and format it on my PC; then copied all important files back to card.
I tried this and it did not help. No matter what kernel I use notifications and ring droid do not work

T989 home button problem

My home button on Galaxy S2 T989 is not working after I rooted ICS. The other 3 buttons are ok. Sometimes it said TwLauncher is not working (or something like that).
Any solution?
Re-flash and make sure you wipe all. Could be a simple mistake of corrupt data from an old flash

I forget which ROM i had that problem with, but iirc, the darkside cache wipe fixed it. That zip has saved my butt numerous times.

[Q] Phone does not shutdown

[not the first time]
Rooted my girls GS2 with the updated 4.0.3 stock.
Deleted a few bloatware, and I'm more than certain that I didn't delete anything dangerous.
She can't shutdown her phone now.
I have no clue what's causing this.
any help?

Thanks datrapstar... but that was one of the first thing I did.
Also wiped dalvik.
Before making any changes, I backed up the rooted stock ROM.
So we restored it... still has the no shutdown issues.
very weird.:crying:

What happens when you try to shut it down?

Very weird indeed. My goodbye logo gets stuck for about 5 minutes and causes my batt to drain a lot (20%) sometimes. But I just reboot and it fixes it. Don't know what can be causing your problem

1. If you haven't yet, download DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477955 . Make sure you download cache.wipe, NOT super.wipe, because super.wipe will clear your data.
2. Remove the battery and put it back in.
3. Go into ClockworkMod, or whatever customer recovery you use. To enter it, hold vol up&down together, while pushing power to turn the phone on, and continue holding the volume buttons the whole time until your CWM comes up.
4. Flash DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE, reboot, let phone sit for 5-10 minutes, and done.
I've tried doing the cache wipe though, even multiple times after the first few tries, and I still get shutdown hang/freeze.

Browser issues.

Hi guys, I got this device today, rooted using Odin, and am currently using stock rom and kernel(4.1.2) my stock browser worked fine for the first few hours after I rooted and then seriously out of the blue it started giving me app not responding toast and closes. Any ideas what may have caused this? I deleted a few of the bloatware apps with TB but didnt delete anything having to do with the browser or data connectivity. I even left google talk alone and I always get rid of it. Any suggestions?

Try wiping cache and davlik cache in recovery and fixing permissions. That's always the first place to start.
Also, its always best to just freeze bloat. And after a bit, if all is well, then uninstall.

I tried that after I posted, still no go. I think I may just nandroid back to before it started misbehaving and see if it happens again.
Edit: im a dumb a$$. I changed my screen density to 200. Thats why its crashing. I wonder if there is something I can do to edit the apk its self so it doesn't crash because of density.
