Hello, a guy proposed me to swap my iPhone 4S for a HTC One X.
I think the One X is a really good phone, but i wanted to know impressions by someone who has got it.
Mainly, i have two questions:
- I really like the retina display, but it seems that One X's DPI value is also very high. Is the screen quality similiar?
- I've read something about custom ROMs and root. I'm used to custom ROMs, but i don't want to loose my warranty, so probably i wont' flash any of them for a while.
What about root? There isn't any way to get a rooted stock system keeping warranty?
I got a Galaxy S2 and a Note, it seems like Samsung made things easy about warranty, but i suppose the locked bootloader makes things harder.

Hay mate!
The screen is, for me, the best thing about this phone, I can't even look at another phone now lol. The dpi just falls short of the iPhone, only by a few per inch, nothing that your eyes are really not to notice, I think any thing over 300dpi gets called retina. As for root, there is currently no way of rooting without unlocking the bootloader, witch will void your warranty. Lots of people trying, so who knows! Give it a few months I'm sure it will happen . Oh, if you do get one, make sure the handset is NOT made in China, seems to be more problems are found with them, odd I know... but its a great phone, and well worth a buy

Ok thanks a lot, i'm still not sure about value: iPhone 4S, in a few months, will have an higher value so i'll be able to get an One X + some money
If not made in China, where's made? Taiwan (like first HTCs)? :O
I'd put the One X's screen as the best, no doubt.
You have to take into account the One X's pixel density falls not far short of the 4S even though the screen is 1.2inches larger

I think it was Taiwan, not 100%. The iPhone 4s only has about 10-20 dpi more, you eye can't see that level of detail, also the phone is sooooooo small
Also the raw power of the hox blows the iPhone out of the water, the second reason to get this phone. The 3rd the price, why pay so much more for a iPhone, is the extra 10-20 dpi worth the mega contract fees? Not really, in my books any way.

IMO I'm not sure if iphone 4s will have higher resell value than One X since the new iphone will be out then.
The screen on the One X is one of the best on the market, I don't think you will notice any quality differences. The One X have lower dpi, but it is a larger screen with higher resolution, so web browsing, watch HD video and typing are much more enjoyable on the One X.

Yes, but i can see that the iPhone 4's value is still higher than Galaxy S2's or Note's for example, even if 4S is out and S3 isn't yet.
Maybe here, in Italy, people are crazy about iPhones.
Ok, great, he said me that it's made in Taiwan.
He doesn't have a cover, i'll be buying one, but is it solid, scratch resistent?
I mean, can i use it without a cover and without ruining that the firts day?

Galaxy S2 and Note are last year's phones, the One X is released this year and apart from the SIII, i don't see any Android phone will topping it this year.
Iphone 4S is selling £200 off the retail price on ebay, this will only goes down when iphone 5 comes out in 4 to 5 months time. So if you are going to sell both iphone 4s and One X in 5 months time, they both probability sell for around £300 on ebay in the UK.
P.S. the body of the phone is very tough, but the camera lens is exposed and the front scree/glass is flash. I''ve used the phone for 3 weeks naked without any issues, but I was super careful. A cheap case from ebay can protect both the camera lens and front screen by adding few mm lip on both side.
I'm now using a screen protector for both the screen and camera together with a tpu/hard plastic case.

Anyone come from the Note? The One X worth it.
I have both since last week.
Note has bigger screen, which is better for e-reading, browsing, games.
One X fits better to the hand ('cause it's smaller); is faster in some very specific tasks (like indexing a stardict DICT to Fora dictionary), but overall in normal games and browsing, it's the same as Note; handle 1080p videos better than Note.
My One X has a yellowish screen, so take this thread I created yesterday with a grain of sault, since many One X's have normal white screens.

stick with the note mate and then just sell that and go for the galaxy s3..one x is a gorgeous phone, beautiful screen and all round one hell of a beast of a phone. but my first android phone was the s2. for me was easier to root and basically i could do anything i wanted with my eyes shut..so far with the HOX is like running a marathon...probs would get easier when there is a one click root procedure but for now to many problems and hassles with warranty if you unlock and etc..
anyways wait till the s3 comes out and then compare and go for the one you want...i know which one i would be looking at though

I've had the one x since release and about 2 days later my wife got a galaxy note. To be perfectly honest, in the current state of both devices (both latest available releases) I can't find anything remotely better about the one x over the note. In fact I am quite embarrased to show my device to my wife after the build up I gave to her about it.
The only possible reason that I can think of for you to chose the one x right now is if all your trowsers have small pockets.

Had the note which I was very happy with and now own the one x. I do prefer the one x over the note even with the issues because it suits my needs better. Also I hate tw and plastic feel to note. Personally if i were you i would wait for gs3 and then make a decision.

Second thoughts....I can't admit that my wife has a better device than me. I'll just have to pretend for the time being and hope things improve.
As others have said, stick with the Note and wait to see what the SGS3 has to offer, or for HTC to iron out all the software/build issues the One X has right now.
Yeah will stick to the Note. I'm running Stunner rom anyways so its near enough stock android. I'll check the Galaxy S3 and see if that's worth jumping ship.

Stick with the Note
recklesslife,
Stick with the Note and wait for the SGIII. Your a Samsung user and use to the TW. Further, its in the heads of the general public that Android's best phone is from Samsung (SGII). Therefore, the anticipation for the SGIII to best all smartphones including the IPhone is given. Even though HTC fans won't like it. The marketing Samsung has put into the SG line is great all over the world. HTC needs a more complete package in terms of marketing and reliability of their phones.
Most of you say keep the Note. So I guess that's what I'll do. Was tempted to buy the One X. Can't knock the note really so don't know why I want to get a different phone. One X does look nice..

I owned a Note but as of about 5 mins ago I don't have it anymore but I would say go with the One X. I find the One X is far superior to the Note in every area except for pure screen size. For me I would rather have a better screen than a bigger screen. Oh and touchwiz isn't as heavy as sense nor as buggy as sense 4.0
Hate Touchwiz and hate phones with an overly plasticy finish. Why I ended up switching from a GSII to a Sensation.
I you plan to root though, doesn't really make much difference what phone you go for.
I was considering the G-Note also. I wanted something with a larger screen coming from a SGS2. My first choice was actually the Eluga Power. It has a much more modern processor, runs ICS out of the box, and has a smaller form factor than the G-Note. Unfortunately (for me), it only supports EU HSPA bands. But at the end of the day the G-Note really is older tech and just a gigantic SGS2 with S-Pen.
Here's a dimensions comparison:
Samsung Galaxy Note - 146.9x83x9.7mm, 178g
Panasonic Eluga Power - 136x70x9.6mm, 133g
http://www.knowyourmobile.com/comparisons/1328692/samsung_galaxy_note_vs_panasonic_eluga_power.html
No offence to G-Note fans, but they look ridiculous when you hold them to your ear and you can't constantly wear a BT headset to avoid having to use it that way. I also have a 3G tablet so decided that 4.7ish" (HOX, GN, SGS3) was just more practical. Also, Samsung's release of ICS for the SGS2 has been a cluster so I can't imagine the G-Note's being any better.
Just some food for thought…

Note was launched on Oct. Obviously it will be outdated in terms of specs. Were you expecting otherwise?
GN is even more outdated. HOX can't even better iP4s in terms of GPU (forget about new iPad). We have no clue SGS3 -- is it called SGS3 or something else??
Which company have been any better in terms of ICS update? How many HTC/Moto/SE phones have been updated? Most people here don't prefer OEM skins anyway. So if someone is going to root and ROM, why bother about OEM release? You are not going to use it anyway. I can understand for the general mass, but for most people in the XDA, I don't think it's a valid argument.
I would say stick to what you think is best for you. No point in forcing my views and preferences. I have seen people happier with their dumb phones compared to other guys with expensive smart phones.
You need to tell us what experiences you want from a mobile before we can advise one way or the other. I have both so can give you a realistic idea about how each stack up in the areas of importance for your use.
I'm going to be writing a review for the One X for the Telecom Tech blog, and will compare it a lot to the Note, which I already reviewed at my site here (the most comprehensive review on the internet at 17,000 words, well worth reading and a good backdrop to the incoming One X review).
OK, its time to upgrade my trusty DHD.....
...but what gets my hard-earned (no, really) pennies?
To me there are 4 options........
1) HTC One X
2) Samsung Galaxy Note
3) Wait until the 30th and get the Samsung Galaxy SIII
4) Keep the DHD for another 12 months and benefit from a cheaper contract.
So, if it was your pennies getting spent, where would they be going?
I'm looking for views from existing HOX users here. Do you love the HOX? Hate it? What do you like most about it, and what drives you potty?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Best advice is to go into a store and try out each phone (s3 excluded because not released), and see what you think.
Personally, hox is a damn good phone, but I tend to Get a hint of jealousy when I see my dad's Note haha. Don't know why, hox is faster and smoother with a quicker cam, but the notes screen is nice haha.

Kyle - I did just that today, and like them both (to a point).
The HTC just seems too safe, coming from the DHD (and 4 HTC's before it). Maybe I need something a bit different?
The Note, well it's certainly different, but its a Samsung. Samsung made my washing machine, and I've just had to have that repaired. To my knowledge HTC never made a washer.
Aaaarghh - this is agony!
Well the note was well too big for me and instore the One X did seem rather big against my Desire..
but now when I hold my Htc One X and then hold my desire aswell, my desire seems so outdated and cramped I could never go back...
It seems quite durable as well the One X... Not that I throw it around but its really good quality and not glass, so I'm not worried about it so much..
I came from a DHD (awesome device btw) an am pretty happy with the HOX. Screen is better, brighter, more ppi, and compared to the competition, LCD is far better. CPU is amazing, you can run your tablet tegra zone games on your phone too. Battery is definately an improvement, the camera also (which is not surprizing knowing the battery and camera of the DHD). The phone feels a bit light though
Anyway, get what you like most and never forget that Samsung doesn't make just washing machines. Their vacuum cleaner business is doing pretty well too.

Hello everybody,
I have both a HOX and a galaxy note from work.
Note's battery isn't as good, bit it's true that the screen's size is bluffing.
I wouldn't really buy the note for personal use cause it's too big and you don't have enough battery to be able to mess around with it for the whole day .
Camera is better that htc, smarter, focus with flash, nice macre etc.
It's a really good phone, but for professional use in my opinion.
One X's design is beautiful as is the screen quality. Very fast, smooth and I wouldn't trade Sense for the world.
Hope it helps.
Edit: btw I also upgraded from a DHD and the first thing that bluffed me was the weight and design
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I had a DHD for 18 months, then I bought a Note. Returned it a week later, bought a HOX. Loved it, it's like keeping your DHD but upgrading everything about it.
Thanks everyone. Still teetering on the brink...... Hox... Note..... Note..... Hox......
Are you a thumbtyper? Forget the Note if you are, thumbtyping in horizontal view is actually sore after a while, the menu & home buttons are in an uncomfortable position.
Also, the Note camera is not in the same league as the X. The X has an amazing camera, the Note is just good.
Touchwiz (Samsung's interface) is also not in the same league as Sense, it feels clunky and unimaginative in comparison.
If you buy from Amazon, you can return a phone within 7 days (I did this) so maybe you should try there.
The only benefit the Note has over the X is the larger screen, but i don't think it's worth it for all the cons (compared with X)

Interestingly, I would also have termed myself a HTC fanboy up until the One X and S were launched. I just find them a tad uninspiring.
Thanks for the tip on the 7 day return. On this basis I've decided (with a feeling of I'm cheating on a loved one) to get a Note online, then I can return it under distance selling laws if I find it unbearable to live with.
Genuinely, many thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. Your insight has been much appreciated.
Rob
Cool. If you decide to keep the Note, give me a PM, i have some screen protectors you can have for the price of postage.
Oh and the 7 day return is actually 14 or 30 days, i'm not sure, and remember to keep the original packaging
I came from DHD too!
The jump was... WAHOA!!!
The differences are incredible. I really really love this One!
HOX is almost half the weight of DHD and at least twice faster! And Sense 4.0+ICS is really cool combo (IMO).
Only 2 downsides:
- at first it couldn't keep my provider signal and it was stucked in roaming (fixed changing the favorite settings in the Mobile net settings);
- with normal usage the battery is good, but if you start using it for games or videos it drains really fast (but not as fast as DHD's, and there's pleny of battery fixing posts around here)

Average. The standby (or sleeping) power consumption is really good, and things like browsing the Web and listening to music are pretty good too, but CPU intensive tasks can really drain the battery. I fairly easily get a whole day out of it with moderate to heavy usage.

If your budget is big enough, I might advice you to look for the improved version of the phone, One X+ that is. It comes with JB, a faster processor and bigger storage (64GB). If budget is limited then get the One X. You can take a look at the Nexus 4 too and see if you like it or not, it depends on what you need.
Not trying to keep you from the One X or anything, its a great phone and its been working fine for me for the past 7 months and can definitely last more than 2 years. I'm just telling you to check the market for all the options so you are 100% confident with your decision.

1. I found that on stock ICS, the One X did lag sometimes when multiple apps were open. If you are willing to flash a custom ROM, or when the stock Jelly Bean update is installed, it should have no lag because of project butter. I am on the CyanogenMod 10 ROM and it is lightning fast, and I have never noticed any lag at all.
2. The battery depends on the usage of the phone. I have found that after a usual day of usage, I have about 25-35% battery left, and this includes using power-hungry games.
3. Yes, the games are insanely fast, due to the Tegra 3 processor. Nvidia have a really strong background in gaming (due to all of their PC GPU's), and this really shows when playing any game.
Hope this helps
Defo get one root it and get ARHD on it , smooth as with zero lag
IMO, if you can afford it, go for the One X+ instead of the One X. That bigger battery is really something to consider however, I see no big difference apart from that (better GPU and higher CPU/GPU clocks are no big deal IMO). If you can't afford it or if you find the extras on the One X+ no big deal, get the One X w/o a moment's hesitation
Why is anybody still looking at a device with the locked down misery the is HTC bootloader when a Nexus 4 is better in just about every way and costs less?

Because the Nexus 4 has a much cheaper build quality, has glass on both sides which makes it more prone to smashing (Gorilla Glass 2 isn't unbreakable) and HTC Sense is really good for consumers that will keep the phone as it is (Sense does have a lot of great features), not to mention the worst fact that there are no capacitive buttons on the Nexus 4, which means that screen real estate is taken up by the on-screen buttons. Also, in my opinion, the device looks ugly, especially on the back with that awful looking camera and the weird sparkly effect.
Still, I do think that the wireless charging is really cool, and I can see why people buy the nexus devices to get stock android immediately. I also realise that it feels cheaper because it is cheaper.
I just think that the negatives of the Nexus 4, and the positives of the One X make the One X a much better phone, and if you want an unlocked bootloader, if you go to htcdev.com, they could not have made it simpler to do.
I just got my HTC One X last week.
I got it because I was really tired of the lag of my HTC Sensation XE (1.5 GHz Dual Core with 780+ MB of RAM).
I loaded all my previous apps on the One X (so I would have a fair comparison), I can tell you there is a HUGE difference in speed. It was really much more than I hoped for. The One X is very much faster and task switching is immediate.
Opening/browsing/closing the Google Play was a real pain on the Sensation XE, but on the One X it's really smooth and satisfying.
For the battery, it's about the same of my Sensation XE. But considering the One X has a bigger screen and a quad core, I was happy with the battery life (I was expecting a shorter battery life). I have the data on all day long (3G only, HSDA network) with many apps syncing and moderate usage (including watching youtube), I can survive a full day easily (7 AM - 12 midnight).
For games, I don't play games so I can't tell.
Hope this helps.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm still on ICS, as Jelly Bean is not out yet for my region. My old Sensation XE was on ICS too.
Also, my HTC One X is all stock, no roots or custom ROM. So if you want more speed (although I don't see why) you can put a stock JB ROM and other users say it will get smoother.
After more days spent with my new phone, still can say that I am in love with my One X.

I think you have some good points, however I have both right next to me at the moment. I wouldn't say that either has better build quality. They're very different design philosophies. If you like the feel of the iphone 4s then the nexus will be better but if you like the lumia polycarbonate style then the one x for sure. For me I prefer the nexus simply because it makes it feel more like a grown ups phone as opposed to a toy so much.
Otherwise it's pretty night and day in terms of usability. The nexus 4 is a lot quicker and smoother and cooler. The one x does win on screen and camera though.
OP if you don't like lag this is a no brainer, the nexus is much better.

Haha, just make sure you don't get an operator branded phone or be unlucky enough to get one with an uncommon CID, yes. But you've still got a device manufacturer telling YOU what YOU can do with the device YOU own. Which sucks.
If the HOX is so much better than the Nexus 4, then you'll have to show me the fields of people waiting to swap my immaculate HOX for one. I suspect they don't exist though.
Yes, different things appeal to different people, and the industrial design of the HOX is nice, but I suspect from what I've read the N4 could not really be considered to have 'inferior build quality'. I don't even like the idea of a dual-faced glass device, but I'd still have one to get that device at that price. Either way, given that the N4 should be just over half the price, there's simply no competition.
HTC One X or Nexus 7?

Fair play, but if you read what you said again, you said:
'If the HOX is so much better than the Nexus 4, then you'll have to show me the fields of people waiting to swap my immaculate HOX for one. I suspect they don't exist though'
That just practically means that no-one is swapping a One X for a Nexus 4. Well done
And in response to 'letom', I do like the Nexus 4, and the price together with the fresh OS is why a lot of people would choose to buy one. I'm just saying that if I had no phone again and I had to buy one, I would still probably get the One X. I just like the premium feel and the screens on HTC phones are unbeatable (I also really like the camera). And yes, running Sense and with all the apps that HTC forces upon you (like 7Digital), it is more laggy than the Nexus 4. All you have to do is root it and install CM10, and they both have zero lag.
And I think we can all agree, Android > iOS anyday
Actually no, if I had no phone, I would wait for the HTC M7 (rumoured to launch Q1 2013). The Droid DNA is just the warm-up phone in the build up to the M7. Although, it is still all rumours at the moment so we probably won't see or hear about it until MWC 2013.
The problem is I bet you the new HTC still won't be as smooth as the nexus 4. I have jelly Bean on my one x right now, and yes it's smooth but it's not up there with how smooth the nexus is. Look at the reviews of the DNA they're saying it's still bogged down by sense. You should only be getting a HTC phone is you like sense, and live by it.

Hello
I am planning to buy HTC One X international version for about 468$ from a local store where I can test it and so on. I now wonder if I should wait for a newer phone release within the same price range or wait for HTC One X price to drop more or maybe even wait until the HTC One X+ price drop and get it instead .
So
Get The One X now for 468$
Or
Wait until it becomes cheaper like 400$ or so few weeks later
Or
Wait for the One X+ price drops to 468$ and that way I get the better version for the same price of the old one
Or
Wait for 2013 phones to be released and get one of them instead or get the One X really cheap .
What do you guys think ? It is worth waiting and for how long ?
It's a good phone, but the One X+ is obviously better. (It's not much of difference, imo). But the price is a bit too high. You can score the X for a better price through sellers here or on eBay...

I just got a One X myself and it is a pretty decent phone but if i had the chance to go back buy a different phone i certainly would.
Firstly the battery life isn't very good i have had a lot of problems with battery.
Secondly i have had a lot of reboots and freezes with the stock ROM this might be something to do with me being with Three who are useless and haven't provided important updates etc to us.
If you can get the s3 or Nexus 4 get one of them, if you are into iOS get the iPhone you know the phone is going to be stable, get updates on time etc.
Like i said the One X is a decent phone but it does have its problems
Good Luck with you're new phone
I think the One X is a VERY good phone. Obviously there is a smudge of bias on my opinion as I own one but from having used an S3 for a 1 month period before deciding that I didn't want it, I can tell you why ***In my opinion*** the One X beats it
Firstly, the screen is devastatingly beautiful, the colors are amazing, it's got sublime viewing angles near 180 degrees if i'm honest and it's just brilliant for watching HD content on, plus the screen is big enough that you can actually appreciate media content on the screen. Being picky when it comes to screens, it pains me everytime I use the S3 and I can see the pentile pixel grid and all the whites have a green tint to them.
Tegra 3, now I know it's a bit of a gimmick, but it gives a noticable difference in graphical quality than any comparible phone without tegra such as the Nexus 4 or the S3, also works beautifully with the screen
Design, much like the One X's screen, it's body is really well styled, the materials feel very premium and the handset just feels good, the design just has that wow factor which I felt when I first saw the HTC Legend. The S3 in this category cannot hold a candle to the one x, when I feel that glossy polycarbonate, my mind scream CHEAAAAPP!! I know it's not and I know it's the same material that the One X uses but it just doesn't feel like a £400 phone should. Also opening up the battery cover on the white version, you just see disgusting cheap white plastic everywhere which for a picky person like me isn't that great.
Camera, now this is a very subjective area and I much prefer the pictues the One X produces, the S3's pics feel very very saturated in terms of colors where I feel the One X is more representative of the true color, again, this is entirely subjective and that's how I felt.
Sense UI is amazing, yes it's heavy and yes it's buggy sometimes but it's so much more polished than Touchwiz feels and I just like the interface more, there's more "customisability" and it's a nice nice interface to use. I prefer the vanilla android UI just because it's really good nowadays but at the time of purchasing, there were no other phones that bragged the same specs which came with stock Android, and even now if I could change the One X for the Nexus 4, I don't think I would for the reasons above.
Final reason I got a One X is because I really like the fact no one knows what it is and that not many people own one. It's like an exclusive club which people who appreciate Sense can join!
We seem to have veered off topic.
Waiting is a mugs game, it'll always get cheaper, there will always be something better coming along.
What BenPope said. Basically the choices boil down to pretty much buying One X+ if you can afford it, otherwise One X, or you could wait for about a year (or longer) for Tegra 4 devices to come at around mentioned price range.
I bought One X about two weeks ago and all I can say is that I don't regret that decision for a moment.

Thank you all guys . I've decided to wait until Nexus 4 32GB is released so I will get one or I'll get

Which is the best phone to buy among z2, HTC M8, iphone 5S? These devices cost approx 50K. Which device is best value for money in present scenario? Please help.
Also How to change the black background of app drawer to some other background in HTC M8?
Thanks
Rahul.
5s is nearly a year old. Might as well wait for the 6 if you are going the ios route. I haven't played with z2 yet, but only heard good things about it but I do not like their 6 month flagship refresh plans, which means the z3 should come around the same time as the iPhone 6. So far I'm very very impress by the m8. Really unexpected.

The good thing with an iOS device is that apple will support it with software updates for a long time, for example my iPad 2 which is like 2-3 years old is supposed to get the new iOS 8.
I don't have experience with HTC or Sony, they might also provide software updates.

Bitter but true the care of flagship only but also old in family which make them unique
Posted From HTC 1 M8 via TapaTalk Pro .
Obviously the iPhone 5S. If you think that it can be compared with the Z2 and M8 then you don't really understand the Android phones and as such the iPhone will probably be the best option for you.
Also, these types of threads aren't really allowed as far as I know.

Play with all 3 yourself and come up with your own conclusion. When buying a car do u ask in a forum or go for a test drive? At the end of the day ur the one using the phone, not me.
Coming to an M8 thread asking is kind of silly, duh the M8 since we all have one, lol!
Best value? That's a tough one. If buying on contract they all cost the same. IPhone will have an upgrade in a few months so no use buying almost a year old device. Just gotta see which u like better to use on a daily basis for urself.
Are you joking?!
The iPhone 5S is clearly out, it's garbage.
The Xperia Z2 is also garbage, but since many of you have not tried it out I will tell you why it is so bad:
1. The battery is huge. However, the screen is inefficient, it uses a lot of power and it drains that battery faster than an S5 or M8.
2. The colors of the screen are not good and the screen feels extremely cheap and plastic, it doesn't feel like glass as on the S5 or M8 or G2 or S4.
3. The sound in the headphones is terrible, not even close to the M8, maybe comparable to the S4, a little worse than the S5. Even worse than on the crApple.
4. The build quality of the phone is not that good. It catches fingerprints like hell... and they don't look like fingerprints, they look like you picked your nose and then got that stuck on your screen in the form of a fingerprint.
They say the phone is made out of glass, however when you touch it, it doesn;t feel hot or cold as glass would. Also glass shouldnt scratch so easily. So I'm guessing it's actually plexiglass not real glass or resin. It doesn't look that great after you have it for a while (the back of the phone, cause the front looks bad from the first glance).
5. The 3 GB of RAM make NO difference at all compared to the S5, M8, G2 or S4. No difference in operation at all.
6. THE CAMERA IS A TRAIN WRECK. In perfect lighting it is ok, but in even slight less than perfect lighting, it is filled with noise/grains. At dawn or early morning the grains are so bad they are actually red.
The camera on the Z2 is WAY WORSE than the M8, S5, S4, G2 even HTC m7. Even worse than on the 5S. Not to mention on Nokia.
It's a shame that all the pretend experts test the camera in good lighting... you can't believe how bad it is in less than perfect conditions.
7. Judging by how bad it is, the phone is way overpriced compared to the S4 or G2. Not even close. It shouldn't cost more than 450 dollars. You can get way better chinese phones for that money.
8. This is my personal opinion, but that massive block of black looks horrible.
WHY ARE PEOPLE EXCITED ABOUT THE Z2? They are exactly like the iPhone snobs who are a little smart and realize the iphone isn't good. So they try to be different and interesting by getting the Sony. Some are so blind to compare spec numbers and think Sony is amazing without even trying different phones to see the difference.
For the black thing, just use a launcher... Go Launcher is the best I think. I use Next Launcher, but that.s not free.. However, it's just 2 dollars or something.

because its waterproof and not a samsung
Samsung is water resistant too.
And Japan is a way more racist and foreigner unfriendly country than South Korea. So if we wanna choose like that, Samsung is way better than Sony.
