Hey
I've got a big problem with the camera. Everytime I try to make some pictures, the pictures go blurry. I tried to tap on the screen to refocus but that don't work. When I try to make a picture from an object that's really near to the camera It's sharp. Tried diffrent ROMs but It's always the same.

Macro mode?
I had the same problem. It got fixed when my phone fell of the sofa. It happened again and I just hit my bells with my phone an it worked gaonSo just gently whack your phone against your body. That fixed it for me.

I would demand a replacement, my camera has NEVER had that issue and I'm on my 2nd One X.
Uhm, never happens to me as well. Focus is always spot on, depending on the setup.
Whacking your phone? Sounds nasty But seriously, could mean that your lense is kinda stuck and needs a "gentle" slap to get its ass up and running.
Try to gently slap it.... tender love.
Yeah, same here... my friend has a One S, same camera, same software but... different focus... The One S can capture a good macro but with One X you can't...
I don't understand this if One series has the SAME camera...

Ok, so the the title says most of the problem.
Basically, when I got my wildfire a while back I was quite impressed with the camera, managing to take some fairly nice high quality shots.
BUT!
Ever since I rooted my phone and installed CM7.1.0.1, the camera quality has become "washy". This has not been a problem until now, as I have not had to use my camera. But yesterday I did, and the results were.... poor.
So, what I was wondering is whether or not this camera issue is due to a Hardware fault, or a software fault... should I reflash CM7.1.0.1?
Thanks in advanced.
EDIT: I will try track down some old photo's and give you a comparison of what has happened to quality.
there are some camera upgrades around that i have read but cannot find anymore if anyone could provide some links that would be much appriciated as i have a poor camera too. very dark and dull with not much definition or coulor and mainly out of focus.
and no i'm not just crap at taking photos lol i think.....

From the looks of it, I had a similar problem.
Try polishing the camera with some sort of alcohol or something similar, because the lens has some kind of protective layer and might get scratched over time.
So try to remove it, it worked for me
Hi there,
I had a white One X, but changed it for a Grey one as I didnt like how easily it marked, and im not a big fan of white phones it seems.
My new grey one has an LED issue, whereby the phone has a gap or imperfect seal, and there is a second LED light shining through. Should I send this back?

I'd exchange it. Less for the annoyance factor and more because dust or liquid could get though the gap between the shell and the body.
Mine has the same issue.. It's just cosmetic so I'm tempted to keep it

To be fair water can get through the front speaker grill as easily surely? But I would return it because it would annoy the hell out of me

I just got my one x and I have to say the camera is most disappointing, it sucks it's basically unusable. I haven't upgraded my phone for ages the last one I had was the omnia 2, and I would say that one had a simillar camera, just with less useless features.
I don't own another good phone camera so I can't compare but from experience in apple stores, even the iPhone 4 camera is much better. The camera doesn try to focus when you press the shutter you don't even notice when was the image captured its like capturing screenshots from a live video feed instead of a real camera. The colors are oversaturated but if you turn it down a knotch it's undersaturated. 8mp sensor is pointless, the results almost never get better past 1mp. White balance sucks it often gets a purple tint. The live display is also terribly delayed unlike the iPhone 4s. The noise level gets crazy at times, reminds me of the ipad2 camera.
I don't know maybe I'm getting too used to my mirroless camera. I still love this phone though, even if it has no camera.

Wow I didnt know about that. Not good and thanks for the heads up
the whole GALAXY to NOTE about...counting down from 10 to 1.
I had the same problem with my Nexus 4. I would take shots and wonder why the picture always came out yellowish with flash. Turns out my finger was too close to the LED lol

I walked around my house all morning, taking flash pictures in the dark with and without the case and never saw any difference between the two images. When I can, I'll post some of my comparisons, but I'm starting to think my house might just be yellow...
When I view light images, like the list of threads in tapatalk, the bottom of the screen has a different tint than the top. This isn't my first amoled device, and I know that whites aren't usually as good as an lcd, but this seems really bad to me. It's much more noticeable in low light when the screen isn't as bright. I don't have a way of taking a picture now, maybe I can take one tomorrow.
Not sure what I want to do, but maybe I'll wait a little while and then do a warranty exchange to get one from a different batch compared to this one.

I have owned almost every high end phone out there and this phones screen still impresses me every single time I turn it on
You can sort of see the difference in color on the bottom of the screen compared to the top.

Switch it out with at&t... this screen is flawless. Anything less is a defect.
I got a new one. It's much better, plus my bluetooth works better
