Whats your Play Store version? 3.5.19 is the latest. If it isnt 3.5.19 in yours, google search and download it, push it to /system/app/ and set permissions to rw--r--r--. Reboot.

If you don't mind losing your data (or if you have a backup) try going to recovery (press power, home button and volume up) and wipe cache partition and wipe data/factory reset and reboot now you phone will be like you bought it you will need to set up everything again. But it should fix your Google Play Store problem ...

Is there a working (non-themed) new market for CM6? I've tried a bunch of different methods, but none work. It always Force Closes.
I've tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877330
And even tried installing using these instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877510
But nothing is working, any help?
Are you wiping the cache and dalvik cache before you flash? I had no problems installing non-themed or themed versions of the market on CM.

Yes, I've done that and it did not work. I'm running a themed one right now, but find it hard to read and use. Is there a flashable version of the non themed market?
Looks like there is a flashable one

Uninstalled themed market
Cleared cache and dalvik cache
Flashed market, reboot
Force closed :/
Jeez, umm I'm kinda running out of ideas. Here's 2.2.6, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9756315&postcount=20
Maybe you have problems with the ROM itself. Backup and try a clean install of the ROM (wipe cache and dalvik cache), then before anything else try flashing a new market.

I've tried 2.2.6 before .7 and had force closes as well

Yeah, I'm going to try out another new ROM tonight anyway. And if I don't like it, I'm doing a new, fresh install of CM6 because it has been hella stable and fast for me
Followup for anyone who might run into this problem like I did:
I found a flashable version of the 2.2.7 market.
Put it on SD Card
Went to settings -> Manage Apps -> Market -> Delete Cache
Rebooted into Recovery
Cleared Cache
Cleared Dalvik Cache
Flashed the new Market
Reboot
Success
I have recently installed CM9 on my Wildfire S but in between I am getting error "unfortunately google play has stopped". I am getting same error with other apps, system apps also. Can you please suggest solution on this?:crying:

Have you flashed Gapps after flashing CM9 ?
If not you can get it here:
http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip
and have it flashed.

have you cleared cache partition, dalvik cache and wiped data properly....
Did you wipe the dalvik cache and perform a factory reset?
If not, that's probably what you need to do, CM9 kept force closing everything and it fixed itself when I did these.
Hope I helped :fingers-crossed:

Thanks..did that and worked well till last day, but the in the evening I again got same error
Don't know what to do...
hmmm...
The only thing I can think of is to free up some RAM, maybe they're force closing due to not enough being avaliable.
Try to kill some ram hungry apps,
Go to
-Settings
-Apps
-Scroll to Running
-Kill them.
Hi...
The test version on next Gmail 4.2 is out and here is the way how you can get in on your phone?
1. Open TB (Titanium Backup)
2. Take backup of Gmail app then uninstall it from TB itself
3. Reboot in recovery
4. Flash the zip (http://d-h.st/1C9)
5. Reboot and enjoy
p.s. - Its running fine on my phone and in case you face any issue then delete the Gmail2.apk from system/app and restore the old gmail from TB.
Thanks to Ron Amadeo who posted this over AndroidPolice
---In case anyone has any issue with this...please pm me.
cheers,
erpurohit
Thank erpurohit!
I'd do everything in your steps, except not uninstall the older gmail app.
I uninstalled first time and then kept getting update notification from Play Store (i.e. it didn't recognize the v4.2 installed).
Then I re-installed V4.2 without unintstalling V4.1 and no more notification.
flashed the zip, without unistalling old gmail because titanium backup kept crashing..
now I'm stuck at the remics-JB logo

I think you can revert back to original one by using the backup created during flashing and saved in your sdcard/universalflasher
or try clearing the dalvik, cache.
I just renamed the old one to gmail.bak and copied the new file to /system/app folder thenc hanged the permissions to 644 and rebooted it works like a charm

Is the problem fixed bro?
You probasbly had another issue to begin with.
tb contantly crashing on backup is a bad sign.
Good luck bro!
Pinch to zoom? Awesome! I think it is a bummer that it took google that long to implement the feature.
Thanks!

Which version of GApps did you install? Have you tried rebooting into recovery mode and clearing the Cache and Dalvik Cache? Also, did you do a factory reset before flashing ThunderROM?

No GAPPs needed for thunderom. I tried the rom before and had no crashes. Probably the way he installed it?

Is this the stock ROM for Whole Europe?
And besides it's rooted it's completely stock right?
And can i just flash this over my current 108 ROM?
Thank you!

And what about whiping all the internal (for clean install)before flashing?
Or is this not necessary?

It is not necessary to wipe internal data to do a upgrade. You can flash dirty and retain your data.
Thankyou.
i did flash it but i don`t see my own apps?
i restored data via backup but now my WiFi does`nt work
I think you may have wiped your data before flashing. That would cause the loss of apps.
If you jut restored your data from Kitkat into Lollipop, that's the reason why your wifi dosen't work.
Reflash the rom again but only clear the cache and davlik cache. reboot and see what happens.
I've strange problem with Walkman:
What's new (sony app) said that is there a new update for walkman but when i try to install it fail and show a notification message in the bar "impossible to install"
I have cleaned data file and cache of the app, cleaned cache in recovery and dalvik, installed new music app 9.0... but this message appear every time i reboot the phone. I tryed to uninstall what's new with titanium backup but the message still survive. somebody else face the same issue? Must i delete some files in root explorer?

Go to app management, find the Music app, uninstall all updates. Clear the app data for the one app. Than go to play store search for sony walkman, I believe the applicaion is called Music. Reinstall it from play store and open it. Give that a shot and let me know.
Followed your steps but don't solved
I will insert a screenshot to show the message and the icon more later. Thanks for now!
It seems to be a Sony UI icon
