Hi,
I have been successfully running Android 4.0 aospX by existz for about 3 weeks and due to a few apps not working namely sky go I decided I would revert back to stock. I ran the android hack kit on it and now basically it powers on and goes to a blank screen. I can do a battery pull and get the Hboot menu options. Hboot version -0.85.0024
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
Any one of these options restart the phone to the HTC logo then fades to a blank screen.
PD98IMG is on the sd card, as is the rom I downloaded. As far as I can tell this phone is sitting with nothing at all on it. When plugged in there's no window asking to browse the phone. It's showing in device manager as Android Composite ADB Interface.
What do I need to do know to get this up and running ?
Won't find help here, you're in the wrong section. This is for the Bravo, not the Ace.

I think chance that he knows what bravo and ace are is fairly slim.

I had thought I followed the links correctly, HTC Desire which is what I have. I don't know if it's in Bravo or Ace squadron I'm afraid.

HTC DESIRE HD (codename Ace)
HTC DESIRE (codename Bravo)
Completely different device.
Your thread title says you have DesireHD. Now you are telling you have a Desire. You better verify which device you own or you'll get into more trouble following links/instructions not suitable for your device.
EDIT: If I'm gonna base it on the rom you are using, you are not using an HTC Desire (Bravo).

You should post your problem in the Desire HD section:

My Phone came with the default asian ROM 1.19.707.7.
It's a SLCD phone.
and it worked perfrctly with it.
I have rooted the phone and now i want to go back to the factory ROM. but when i download the default 1.9.707.7 RUU ad installed, my screen gets bricked due to ROM not having SLCD drivers.
at last found a solution...
wht i did was, first installed the normal Desire Asian ROM. Yes it will brick your phone... then i used a card reader to put the Asian Froyo Update file to the sd card (Renamed as update.zip)
then i followed the SLCD bricked tutorials on how to install a Update to a SLCD brocked phone..
hope this will help....
First off, Yes I have searched more than this site for an answer to the point where my handset would not do anything but go into the recovery menu.
What I want to do is put stock HTC Android on my Desire.
Currently it is rooted but has to be un rooted to go onto works E Mail server.
The handset is a GSM HTC Desire (Bravo)
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP 2-ON
HBOOT-093.0001
CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY v2.5.0.7
I have tried several RUU's only to be told of a boot loader error.
Can some one please tell me how this is done?
I asked my network and they could not help so unless some one can help me im going to have to ask HTC.
THANKS in advance
RICK
Hi,
Is your phone branded?
If so to get it to stock u need your operatorĀ“s RUU, or a gold card to run the HTC one.
not branded try the last WWE launched to Europe u can find it here : http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_142828_signed.exe
Wrong forum, it should go in Q&A
1. Wrong forum... You even mark your title as a question. Then why not put it in the question section, as it is clearly not development?
2. You problem is, that you have to choose a ruu with hboot version 0.93 or above(as for now i think 0.93 is highest). You cannot downgrade hboot officially! So chose the latest one released, and if your phone is branded, you need to be lucky and find the branded rom or you'll have to use a goldcard.
3. Being able to log onto your firms email server has nothing to do with rooting i promise you. There is no difference in the way it would log on. That is only managed by the app you use to log on. Unrooting will only make fixing the actual problem much more difficult, as you cannot change a thing on the system.

I would be inclined to agree with both points. Rooting will do nothing to affect your phones ability to log on to an e-mail server, the server doesn't collect any information about your phone and refuse it on the basis that it has, essentially, an 'app' called Superuser installed.

Hi all.
This is my GF phone so i have no idea about them. Been working fine until today. She popped the wifi on and it said there was a new update do you want to update and she said yes so im assuming she has updated to the new firmware. After that it rebooted and then just hung on the HTC logo screen. This is all stock never been messed about with so just shop bought if you like and all official.
I can get into the boot menu ETC and ive recovered it and that still didnt work but the recovery only seemed to delete all my data im guessing as that was the only option
Can someone please help ?
Thank you
Did you go on the thread named Troubleshooting conveniently stuck on top of the thread?
I did mate. its says to format all those listed but all i had was wipe all data. i dont have a clue how or what to flash onto this
Whats does s off and s on mean mate ?

boot into fastboot. Go to shipped-roms.com and find the right RUU for your network provider (right RUU = one for your network provider, and ending in the highest number [therefore newest]). Plug the phone in via usb, run the RUU.

If you have enough trust to ask an experienced member for help, you should have enough trust to use what you're given!
Desire = codename Bravo.
Eris = codename DesireC
confusing I know

I have trust just have no experience with a HTC, im a S2 man.
Right have the Bravo, But you say boot into fast boot which ive done connected via usb which is done, but then Run RUU. How do i do that ive been looking about and re-read your sticky but im either thinking RUU is a programme or RUU is a rom ? im a little confused and dunno how to run lol
Thanx for your help mate which is really appreciated but sorry for my htc noobness
RUU is a Windows program which flashes a firmware onto your device. Read more: Desire Unbricking guide and Goldcard FAQ
After installing HTC Sync, you uninstall HTC Sync alone leaving the drivers installed. Then run the RUU and follow onscreen instructions.
Thanx Guys, appreciate all the replys and the help
Right I am kinda at my wits end, I am trying to put my wifes Desire back to stock. I have tried installing the IMG file from the boot loader, I have tried using android flasher, and I have tried using the RUU programs. And I either get one of two responses, either The phone starts up with the usuall sounds but its a black screen the phone seems to have started up as the USB light comes on and when you press the screen on button the buttons at the bottom of the phone light up. OR I get stuck in a bootloop on the white HTC screen. where am I going wrong all I need is the desire back to some form of stock.
when I go into the bootloader it shows
BRAVO PVT3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
RADIO-5.11.01.27
I do have a goldcard installed in the phone.
Recovery, wipe/factory reset, wipe eveything and flash stock rom. Im sure you will be able to download stock rom from xda.

Thank you for pointing it out, I was just trying to get help putting this phone back to standard and added as much information so I could get quick assistance. Apart from to point out a mistake on my part do you have anything to add to this thread? such as a solution??
All sorted, HBoot downgraded, Stock RUU installed but turning it into a PB99IMG file, happy day. Thanks JMCCLUE for your suggestions.
hey im Nathan and new so here i go to try to fail lol
my friend gave me his old htc desire that he said was garbage because it just stays to the htc logo
i like to fix things so i took it i asked what he did last. And told me unlocked the phone so he could use another sim card
and for a day it worked the this started to happen.
its a htc desire telus bravo so thats gsm
with s-on
no usb-debugging mode on
i first did the power on plus volume down to get into hboot went into recovery but it just shows the white htc screen again
i then try the clean storage nothing happens
so messing with just doing that for a day i come online to look at forums so i have since
unlocked the bootloader from htcdev worked
tried to s-off it but cant because usb debugging is on
tried to flashboot a recovery on says it okay but no change
then looked for some ruu tried the one from htc keeps saying wrong rom
then the 2.3 gingerbread says the same
i am going crazy here been working on this non stop until i know its dead if there is anything you can suggest or point me to that would be perfect
