ive looked and looked with no luck
anyone have any hidden jems they like to share
Anyone I tried qik but had no luck unless I used the wrong one
from the fade
I've never tried uploading a video with my EVO, but I've done it using my old Touch Pro, I just uploaded the video like it was a photo, the application didn't say it was for a video, just uploaded it as if I was doing a photo.
Pixel pipe or bff photo
Qik works for me. Only problem is you cannot attach a comment with it. It always titles the post something like check out this video. Other than that works fine. You have to upload the video first, then click the Facebook button to share it to Facebook.

I can't figure how to delete a couple of songs. This is driving me insane. I did shuffle all on streaming and now I have some songs that I want off the phone. I know where they all are if I plug the phone into a PC, but I don't want to do it that way. There has to be an option in the app.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music/
the songs seem to be unnamed (as they're in ###.mp3) format. you can verify on your computer it's size and compare w/ the ones in the folder
if you are just streaming them then go into settings from inside the google music app and unselect the cache music check mark. I will say that while the cached music is available offline if your phone actually needs more space google music automatically removes what is needed.
---------- Post added at 03:52 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:51 AM ----------
un selecting it will also automatically remove the temporary stored current music

When you Say unselecting it, I take it you mean clicking settings and Select Make Available Offline and then when the check boxes appear to the left uncheck them.
The problem there is that none of my offline music is already checked when i get to that screen. This is really messing with me. I truly am starting to believe that google didn't implement a way to delete music after you download it.
OK figured it out. Turns out I had to check them for copy offline. Then it downloaded any missing album songs. After that I could uncheck them and they would be deleted.
I doubt that process follows androids new style guide that Matias is pushing. I think there could be a lot more consistency and user Customization that is needed in these apps.

How does this NOT follow his guidelines??
Firstly, the guidelines are for the VISUAL elements Android ICS, not internal workings. And secondly, THIS IS STOCK ANDROID FROM GOOGLE. How would this not comply with anything Google. Holy crap.

open google music hit the three dot setting tab then select settings. Remove the check mark from cache music if you dont want it to make whatever you stream available offline

Believe it or not, but you are not supposed to be bothered by the cached files(the program will handle them just fine if the memory is needed elsewhere). And if you don't want music to cache them, go to settings(uhh consistency) and remove the checkmark from caching music.

I'm running Bigexie's Jelly Bean rom and I'm having trouble finding where Play Music is storing it's offline music. I used to be able to find it under Android/Data/com.google.android.music but now this folder is empty, even though I have music set as offline. I thought at first that my music wasn't actually being downloaded, but after it says it's done making the songs available offline I have less storage space on the phone, and when I check the "on device only" option my selected music is shown. The music must be cached in different location in Jelly Bean, but I can't seem to find it. This is causing problems with apps like doubleTwist and Offline Music Importer as they can't find the music either.
Does anyone know where Play Music is storing it's music now?
Same here
Yeah, I found the same problem. Trying to get to the bottom of it atm... I'll follow up if I find anything
---------- Post added at 10:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:28 PM ----------
Yep, ok - found it all.
Looks like it stores it directly in the app cache now.
If you something like Root Explorer you can find it under:
/data/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music/
Not sure how useful that is to you.

Thanks. Yeah, I guess knowing where the music is stored doesn't help if the apps don't know to look there. At least my curiosity has been quenched.
Hi all,
I recently upgraded to ARHD 13.0, my PC is running Windoze XP.
I've just installed WMP 11. I have HTC Sync installed and up to date, why oh bloody why can't I see my HOX as external storage in My Computer?!
All I want to do is put a new album on my HOX, I've tried doing it through Recovery and Mounting/Unmounting my storage, the album transfers over but i can't see it in any of my music players.
Thanks,
T-L-H

Well it's stupid, c'mon HTC sort it out!
so what you're saying is, make a folder called Mobile, put my music folder in there, it'll still get it all okay from there and won't duplicate anything? I can do this with ES file explorer? (Meh I've got Astro Manager, that'll do)
---
I've even tried installing the MTP files direct from Microsoft, still only brings up the HTC Sync Manager installer when I plug in my HOX, what a joke.

Xp is eleven years old now dude. You really think htc should be directing valuable resources to supporting something that old? Especially when we have been waiting so long for jb?

also think they have done away with usb storage full stop. not sure how this mtp works but should do if you have the drivers installed. there is an option in the sync manager to transfer documents (zip files etc) that is greyed out for me as the drivers arent installed, let it install the sync manager ans see what happens report back if poss and il have a go at installing the drivers

Well as a lot of PC users are still using XP I don't see why not!
Besides I got the MTP Drivers directly from Microsoft, so...

No.
I've now installed the MTP Drivers directly from Microsoft, Installed WMP 11 for those drivers, Installed the HTC Sync Drivers and nothing.
I've tried your method too exocetdj, I created a Mobil folder and placed my Music Folder in there in my SD Card Folder.
The Stock Music App wouldn't pick up on the new album. I did the transfers using Astro file Manager.

Hi Fellas,
I hope you don´t mind if I jump in here? It seems you might know a bit about a problem I´m having.
Basically I make playlists with Astro, then after connecting my HOX to my pc or laptop for transferring files, it empties the playlists I have?
Any thoughts?
BTW I have XP too! lol

It could be mate but not sure, have you tried doing the same with the stock music app for a workaround? I have restored playlists through titanium over several roms without any issues
Also you mentioned you are on xp, have you managed to get the MTP crap to work?

Afraid not mate, when I´m running WMP and I connect a device, I can't hit the cancel button quick enough, can´t stand it lol
If you want I could test something though?
As for the playlists, I think what is happening is, the media gets scanned when the phones storage is connected (All my music) it sees the locations empty and rewrites the playlist as such?
I haven´t rooted yet, does titanium need root for backing up?

Yep Titanium needs Root to work but its a pretty good tool to use, saves having to go through the hassle of setting up homescreen and downloading apps again after flashing new rom etc

Make sure you have USB debugging turned off on your device.
I hope that I can get this issue sorted soon!
There's loads of new music I want to put onto my HOX!
Sod it!
Screw this, I'm just going to upload my music collection to Google Play Music, when at work or home I can just stream it over the Wifi.
I'll keep a few of my fave albums on my handset so I can have those whenever.
