I did, but then I got rid of it because it caused it to sleep-die frequently. But lately, my phone has been sleep-dying regardless. It does make it faster, but with the high frequency of deaths, it was annoying to keep running it every time i turned the phone back on.

Shouldn't of had to do that if it was injected into the phone...

Used it ... switched to RAM Manager (Pro).
It avoids using ram scripts & tweaks.
Works great since then.
Why? Android is perfect, just the way google made it. If you don't want multitasking, get an iphone.

Which version do you mean?
And why does Google keeps changing it?
Or is perfect with each change?
And why, with ICS, does Google make minfrees dynamic ie. different depending on a devices RAM instead of them being the same on every device like it was before?
And why did they do that after I did?
Hell, why did htc copy my bulletproof launcher on a recent stock rom for the One X by giving it a priority of 0?

I would like to know if it's possible to overclock without running a custom rom and just running a rooted EH06 stock. I used roms b4 but now I just want to stick to the stock Touchwiz. I happen to like their feeds n updates a lot and a few other stuff. Plus might be handing my Epic down for the gs2 wen it arrives. So is it possible?

This oc app really made my phone unstable, and it ran hot and killed batteries. Though, it could have been a combination of things tthat I did. I would not recommend it. But, good luck!
I didn't try the kernel. I just found it odd that a kernel was available through the market, so I stayed away from it.

Up to 1200 seems stable. Going to 1252 and above I have found a way to get it to freeze or reboot ALMOST every time. Cyanogen was really good at 1300 though

Yea I was having the same problem. Seems like going above 1200 makes the phone crash and reboot. So I'm just taking advantage of the lil extra boost. To bad I have to manually start it after every boot...

There is a "set on boot" option in Tegrak. It gives you a good taste of what GB will be like when we get some overclockable kernels.

I feel the same way. The stock ICS seems to be a lot faster than the MCR's at the moment - not sure why.
The only reason to root is to get things such as Ad Free, Full Backups, Underclock CPU when screen off, Apply Paul's UI tweaks.
Obviously things will grow in the future. If you do it now, then you dont risk the chance of losing the ability to in the future (doubtful that will ever happen with a Nexus)

Reason #1: to customize the device by playing with the system files

I will only root if a kernel with ridiculous battery life surfaces. Otherwise this may be the first Android phone I really see no reason rooting. Strange thought.

AdFree is pretty silly IMO. Blocking connections using the host file? Really? I guess the creators don't know what a firewall is or how to use iptables.

is it possible? i have done some research and the only app i can find that does this does not support our phones. Boot manager pro is the name of it and the other one i found only supports the overseas SG2. I would like to mess with other roms but just hate having to flash back and forth.
I wish I could be of some help because I am very interested in the same. I have also searched for a way. Grub4android?? lol. Now that would be great!!

You can nandroid ... then flash then restore ... won't take that long like 5 mins
just wondering when you nand backup does that backup all the apps, messages, contacts, login info , etc.... or only the current rom wiped?
yes it backs up everything.
When you restore a nandroid are you also restoring the kernel and rom?
Or does it just restore your apps/data?
For instance -- Can I nandroid, wipe, flash blazer rom and then restore and have all my data + apps on Blazer?

I've used it before on my og evo 4g. Made it lag more until playing with the settings and setcpu then it was smooth and helped.
I recommend you take a look at Phakers thread on Placebo. He has many scripts made on/for our phone. Be warned though. There is a ton of info and random scripts for testing that you may be more confused after reading the long thread.
Currently running Jellybean Paranoid Android with placebo 2.0 and the "lite" script. But I just flashed new rom version and added the lite script so can't really comment now about this setup.

I used to run the v6 supercharger script on my old Huawei Ascend (yeesh!) and it's pretty good (in fact, I've still got it on my SD card lol). It's made more for slower phones though, from what I remember (please correct me if I'm wrong, anybody). I know it took away 90% of the launcher redraws on my Asscend. With our phone's gig of RAM though, I don't really see a use for it. Check out the thread for better info.
