Debug USB working only if i reboot with usb connected - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi there, the problem is if i connect the usb to my Gnex it won't recognize it, and i do have to reboot everytime. I'm using AOKP b36 and franco kernel
What's the matter?

Is fast charge enabled? If so then that's the issue, otherwise bad port or cable.

You probably have fast charge enabled. Disable it and reconnect your phone

What is this?

My girlfriends phone has been having an issue where this thing pops up randomly. I attached screenshots. It is rooted running DW 2.6. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it or tell me what may cause this. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that makes sense I actually remember reading something like that a while back. I will try a different cable. Thank you.

That will also happen if you reboot while plugged in the computer

Reply to my self: *Although the Galaxy Nexus family supports many USB accessories, it does not support mass storage devices, like USB thumbdrives.

In the same situation,
Especially when running Google Maps. I love the phone but had to revert back to S3
It's drawing more power than the USB connection can provide.

It seems to be the usual explanation for that kind of problem, but if you're stock and fairly clean and it happens on every charger, then it may very well be something else...not sure exactly what though.

[Q] USB OTG?

Are there any working ROMs for our phones that have working OTG support? I know that our phones are "supposed" to support OTG hardware-wise, but I can never seem to find anything about OTG support with some ROMs.
Right now, my phone is on sniper's PACMAN ROM and OTG doesn't work..any suggestions for ROMs with OTG support? I kinda spent $10 on Amazon for my OTG cable, so I kinda want to actually get some use out of it....
Only one time was it working. It was a kernel made by zedomax. Back when this phone first came out. Never has it been able to be implemented again. So no sorry.

A quick Google search would tell you that it is not possible.

You have a SD card slot why not use that.

Otg will not work on our device. It is impossible because of the hardware.

I did do a bit of searching around, and saw various reports. I saw places where it said OTG works, but I never saw a definitive "yes it works"/"no it doesn't". So I figured I would ask anyway. I guess I have my answer now, huh?
It is not a hardware problem. There is video proof of a guy running OTG on his E4GT with a kernel he was building. He dropped the project though.
