Currently running darkside evo 2 and am enjoying besides a few minor issues. What is the difference between evo 2 and ucle2? Is UCLE2 the new rom we should use if we like TDJ's ROMs?
One is based on the att leak
The other the TMobile leak

Yeah if you don't use wifi calling the ucle build is better

Questions go in the Q&A section
So just to make it clear .... (that's a question)
[ROM][ICS] :ARKSIDE.EVOLUTION.2:: [BETA03] [UVLC8][WiFi CALLING][5.12.2012] --- is T-Mobile based
and
[ROM][ICS 4.0.4]:ARKSIDE.UCLE2::[BETA05][15 Toggle MOD with MAD SKILLZ][5.20.2012] --- ATT Based ?
I am on ATT so I guess it's better for me to use ATT based rom ?

I would say so. TDJ i think recommended using UCLE2 over evo2. I am running UCLE2 right now and it feels much smoother than evo2. gps hasn't been working as smoothly but there are 3 different modems you can try.

Unfortunately it says the the report wasn't confirmed by Samsung, and it also says that its still gonna have to go through the carriers... dunno how att is because I'm new but I know vzw is a huge Hassel when it comes to pushing through any upgrades. Hopefully the code Samsung wrote form its handset gets leaked though because then we will have the capability to flash it without waiting for carrier approval.

Despite the fact that it's not really official (no Samsung confirmation) it's still good news. I doubt this would be an invented news, there's gotta be some truth behind it... now as for the carriers' part in this, that's another matter!

My theory is that the Jelly Bean leak since is actually a Sammy leak and is still being worked on by Tmobile and AT&T uses the almost the same kernel both d2 the devices. The new jelly bean leak has LTE settings in it meaning that you can set AT&T LTE/PTA APN settings and use 4G LTE in theory. Their are risk because the leak contains a new baseband, you can always reflash back to an older baseband though so this is not the biggest deal. The update does not include a new bootloader so no worries their. And you can always flash back to ICS. In my mind this may be worth fixing up a few files to see if it works. I'm going to give a try. I'll report back.
Looking forward to what you uncover drew

The system and everthing seems to copy over fine, it's the kernel that's giving me trouble right now. I'm going to work on it some more and see what I can find out, but by that time I'm sure an AT&T version will be out.
I'm still working on it and will continue.
What about using ktoon's or faux' JB kernel in the meantime?

so all the CM10 and AOKP work is coming along really great. thank you so much to all the devs who are making that happen.
there are two major features from TouchWiz that I think should be implemented into AOKP/CM10 at least for our phone. I find them to be pretty much a necessity. First and foremost is WIFI calling!!!!! I know this HAS been done on the Sensation and mytouch4g and a few other phones so IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!! I dont have the skills to do it, but in the Questions section when I brought it up many people said they would donate to whoever makes this happen. I will definitely donate!
Is anyone out there able to make this happen?
Also, the second feature, which is less important but really handy, is being able to swipe down from the top while in a full screen app to access the notification bar. Id like this because when I am listening to music and go to play Fifa12, it stops the music. The only way to keep the music playing is to turn it on from the notification bar without leaving fifa. If anyone makes this happen I will CERTAINLY donate as well!
Lets get it happenin people! Whose gonna give it a go?
There's an app called smart statusbar that you could download at the play store. Might want to download that for your second request
Thanks I'll give it a look
edit: works pretty well. thank you.

Would also donate if we got WiFi calling
There is now a bounty for this in general. Everyone put your donation amounts there so some lucky dev will be Able to look at what he will collect!

The Wi-Fi feature is probably a bunch of libs and the app itself. The problem is identifying each of the needed libs. Hopefully it is not incorporated in the framework of the ROM, which would create a major problem. But a look at the Wi-Fi calling mod for s2 might direct us in the right path.

Id say start off with the jedi master series first, stable builds with great features. Great dev support and great user support. Alot of things to explore and customize. Im on jedi x series, which is an international build. I lose wifi calling on it, but no biggie for me. I flash other roms from time to time, but i always come back to jedi.

Tweaked is quite amazing. Jedis are both awesome. For AOSP, Vanilla Rootbox. My personal favorite is Tweaked. It is not nearly as popular as the Jedi series but check it out you won't regret it.

I just got off the phone with tmobile and it seems they are not going to release the new update for the S4 in at least 30 days. The supervisor said they know a month in advanced and they have not heard of anything. If this is true I am pretty upset. What the heck is taking so long? Is there a way to update to the newest samsung fw and still have all of tmobiles features. I would love to get this, root my phone and then install Wicked V3 and faux's kernel without having any problems. Has anyone been able to do something like this? It seems that people who are doing the international versions are having problems. Is there anyway to do this problem free?

Apps 2 SD should have been there in the beginning. I think 2 months is patient enough.
Personally I've given up on waiting for Tmobile to release updates. My wife's gs3 got her update for multi window 1 day before she got her gs4, which has multi window included. The only way I wait for official updates is on nexus devices. Right now I'm using foxhound ROM which has apps to SD, but it is a trade off because it doesn't include WiFi calling.

Damn! That's crazy! When was the multiwindow released for everyone else? If its going to take 6 months to a year for updates, that will be ridiculous. I am new to android. Coming from an iPhone the waiting period is too long. Do other carriers have the same problem?

Keep in mind besides losing WiFi calling all non stock international roms are having force close issues with NFC payment and most of them have gone as far as disabling NFC payment. I like the international roms but couldn't deal with a random NFC payment force close pop up happening periodically.
