Hi there, I have this HTC Buzz (Wildfire) which is locked to T-Mobile UK and I live in Spain, would like to unlock it to use my network (Yoigo)
I've managed to unlock the bootloader from instructions on this website, but I have no idea what i'm doing with the SIM unlock :/ and I don't want to brick my phone.
Could someone please explain in detail or post a tutorial on how to do this please?

Thank you for your help, I searched the forums for a while but didn't understand a lot of it and daren't try anything in case I broke my phone.
Sorry but there is no guide and nobody has posted a method here on how to do it, the only way for now is with an unlock code or by contacting your carrier.

Could you please tell me why this is? It's been out a long time an a lot of other HTC phones can be unlocked can't they?
Simply put this phone is old and was a low budget phone in the first place so most of the top devs kinda bypassed it and chose superior phones and the ones that didn't probably used an xtc clip or didn't need to unlock it, believe me when I say we have spent hours looking for it but it's been cleverly tucked away in a hidden partition us mere mortals have no chance of reaching.

+ 1 as scratch states many hours searching and attempting to crack with no prevale.
using my thanks as likes
Cheapest option is to buy a unlock code online, beats the carrier unlock fee

Hi guys,
I plan to buy a HTC Wildfire for my brother but unfortunately, the phone is Network Locked.
Is there any change we have a program or something that would unlock it for free?
I really don't trust the sites a la : www.unlockyourphone.com ... and Vodafone won't unlock it for free.
Thanks and really looking for an answer.
Best Regards,
DH
I bought mine from Vodafone and they unlocked it for free, on the spot. I did not extend my contract with them, I just bought the phone.
P.S: I`m from Romania.

If u are in the uk, get it from somewhere like carphone (all their phones are unlocked and debranded) or sim free from expansys
Did you manage to unlock your phone? I also have a Vodafone romania locked wildfire and don't know what to do about it. Thanks.
Vodafone unlock contract sims for free.
Will only unlock free paygo if the older than 1 year.
You'll have to pay.
I used htccode. No problems.

I am with Vodafone on 30 days contract sim only and I bought my wildfire on pay as you go. I phoned customer services and they unlocked for me free of charge.

Free Unlocking is not possible to get for the Latest Phones,So i suggest you to get the paid unlock code to unlock the Phone from Network lock, that is best than using the Unlocking programs and software......You can get the Unlock code from here
Mobileunlocksolutions.com and unlock this is trust-able source..............

Hy guys,
First time writing on the forum. I'm from Romania and i have an HTC wildfire locked on vodafone .
I bouught a code from gsmliberty.net...and and and..nope it didn't work...i spent last 3 days chating with them and leaving tickets to the suport team but not any luck iuntill now.
The thind is that after i insert the unlock code under the sim unlock pin message ..it apears an error message that says "incorrect password".
Now..i'ce checked the security under settings and deselect every password that i found including here SIM pass , unlock password , unlock path...everithing i could...but still nothing
Could enyone give me a piece of advice ?
Thank's in advance
For now i cannot say "Sent from my HTC Wildfire"

Complete lie. Both the HTC Desire and the HTC Desire Z can be sim unlocked for free.
Its a shame noone has dedicated some time as there problably is a free way for the Wildfire as well.
We need a version for wildfire
there is a tool "Universal sim unlock for S-off’ed HTC devices" but it doesn't work for wildfire, maybe a hope for the next future, look at sieempi dot eu blog
Doesn't the HTC dev website give you an unlock code for free?

as far as i know htc dev will only allow for custom roms to be used and custom recovery to be put on. will not remove sim lock, carriers would go nuts if it did.
Yes it says in the frequently asked questions that radio and sim lock are still locked and it will still say s on, sim lock is a carrier issue if they unlocked it carriers would kick off as they wouldn't be able to use they're branding effectively.
And radio still being locked might cause problems for cm7 users.

I heard that you could call your carrier to give you the code to unlock your phone, but 3 wouldn't do it unless the phone was on another network and I was joining them. I'm on o2 and wanted to remove 3'a Sim lock, but no joy. could have tried my carrier to.

i went to a phone unlocking shop and they did it there and then for a tenner. also, if you can get your hands on a xtc clip you can s-off and remove sim lock
Is there any other way to unlock an HTC HD 7 without using Chevron?
Yes, Via IMEI unlock
Can you post instructions for a free or very cheap method of doing this? I have 2 HTC HD7 phones from T-Mobile, but am not a customer with them anymore and they will not provide the unlock codes unless I sign up for service with them again.
I want to use the devices with AT&T now.

i'm not a really pro developer but i suspected those bugs before.. finally a real developer suspected that.. eager to see who's going to help fixing them
call tmob and tell them your going to europe and u need your phone unlocked.
I can unlock and root both of them with my XTC clip. Contact me at xmoddz.com or pm if interested. Although this requires you ship them to me
find someone that has tmobile account and ask them to request an unlock for your phone
Try google

I have a htc desire z bought from vodafon romania and i want to know if i can do anything for free if not please recommend me a good unlocking site .
Thnakyou .
if you go through the proper rooting procedure, you get sim unlock + S-ID off to go with it as well
The full guide is in the XDA Wiki. Yes, you can SIM unlock for free.
Sent from my Desire Z running CM7.
Find the gfree method in the wiki. They explain it well there and its easy to do. I did it to mine. You can also just unlock without rooting (but why would you do that?)

I actually called T-mobile (which I cancelled the service months ago) and they gave me the SIM unlock code. It worked perfect. As long as your account was in good standing when you cancelled or ended the contract with them.
I have T-mobile locked HTC one x and im trying to find unlock method but i always fail, tried over internet none site worked for me,i gave my phone on phone service to unlock but it seems that they also cant unlock it.

Can't you unlock it on www.htcdev.com?
I don't think he means the bootloader, I think his handset is carrier branded.
I'm not too sure on how to do it myself, if there is a way I think Mike1986 or Football might know.
I got my branded hox unlocked by http://www.mobileunlocked.co.uk/ it cost £11.99 and took 20 mins

Plus if we had the xtc clip & Goldcard we'd have achieved S-off by now...
Ring T mobile and request an unlock code, I don't think they can refuse by law, they will charge you around 15 quid.
1. Is your bootloader unlocked?
2. Are u running a custom rom?
If you have even 1 of these as fare as I'm aware u have to be on stock for the unlock to work. espeshaly if your getting the same code time and time again.

If you on contract with them it's free and even if your on pay as you go its free. You can use any website to get an unlock code and use that as well.
I re locked my bootloader as it wouldn't let me do it unlocked and custom

Are you sure it's free on Three? Every time I've asked them, they've quoted £15.32 in store and through phone calls to unlock. And the only info I can find on the website, claims pretty much the same: http://support.three.co.uk/srvs/cgi...sername=Mobile:mobileUser?s_search=helpsearch
Probably would be cheaper from somewhere else though.
It would be a lot cheaper elsewhere but I know they had to give my sister an unlock code for the i9000. But I'm sure I read somewhere as well in the UK there not aloud to sell simlocked phone but if they do there abliged to give you the unlock code.
Best thing to do is check citizens advice website if you don't want to pay for it to see if the info is true. I only heard it through the grapevine, but what's £3-5 to get an unlock code its a lot cheaper than i****e unlock cides

ok so i admittedly have unlocked a desire z a while back but it was a right faff and it was a spare phone,
iv now got a brand new HTC M8
its locked to vodaphone (boo)
and has a vodaphone rom (again boo)
so iv tried to unlock the phone with a paid for code as its a lot lot easier but none off the sites seem to be able to give me a code. they just say sorry and give me my money back.
is it possible to unlock the phones sim lock without S-off?
if not, which is better, S-off or htcdev.? id really like to keep the warranty on this phone as iv got 2 years supposedly and HTC have been really good before
im assuming htc dev will void warranty's since you have to give them your phone details? is S-off detectable? can i turn it back on?
Sunshine app is 25 bucks ... But will unlock your bootloader and give you s-off, without HTC knowing about it.
That's what I did.
Then I think you can Sim unlock. I say think, cause I haven't done it with this phone.
