Ive been using AOKP since its release and I love the rom the only problem i have with it is the clock app. Does anyone know how to get the ICS/CM9 clock or gingerbread clock to work on this? i tried to get it to install as a system app but that didnt work i hate the AOKP one it doesnt have nearly as many options and half the time the alarm doesnt work.
Did you try to push it via adb? Or There are many market apps you could try... either way wrong section for this. You just posted this exact same thing in the AOKP thread.

Simple question is there a custom cm7 lockscreen? I found one for metamorph but I can't seem to get it too work. I have it morphed in but for some reason a no go.
Here is what I tried: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959602&page=85
You have to put the morph you want in the android themes folder open metamorph and hit extract new theme and then apply all sometimes you have to do it twice then reboot

I've never had good luck with metamorph, it seems really buggy to me. I'd like to get some lockscreen customization too, but I just haven't found a very good solution.

May not be what you want to do, but Widget Locker will allow you to do pretty much anything you want to your lockscreen. Using CM 7 you can also go into the settings for Tablets and disable the stock lock screen. It works out pretty well.
Is it possible to "transplant" an ICS lockscreen (ie from juggernaut 5.0) and install on another ROM?
I'm using MALICE now, with Eugene's new kernel. I'm tech savvy with some things but a noob with this stuff.

my lockscreen is transparent. I'm not exactly sure what's the process, but I had a picture from my gallery on there, and I flashed another ROM or something along those lines and the screen is transparent, probably because I don't have that picture anymore? not sure? You can try deleting the picture after you set it?
Sorry I don't know the exact way to do it, but it is possible.
What I did was download go launcher
Then I downloaded go locker then found the ics theme lockscreen then I set the default launcher for whichever rom I was running(don't pick go launcher). And boom ics lockscreen on the rom and you don't even have to run go luncher you just have to download it for the locker to work....probably not the way you wanted but that's probably the easiest way...ha

@teo032
I think he meant transplant not transparent. As far as making your lockscreen "transparent" goes, all you need to do is go to cwm and fix permissions, then reboot. It will remove the assigned lockscreen .jpeg file to none.
@evanladoux
Implementing a lockscreen to be built in to a rom is very long process and it requires that you understand programming fairly well.
Yea lockscreens never used to be hard, but in GB witb samsung, its a pain.
M&S
Thank you everybody for your replies.
I was looking to get a built in lockscreen rather than Go Locker, which is what I just went with.
I was hoping it might be as easy as unzipping a ROM, & rename/copy/paste a few files into the DD folders.
Its fine until we have a fully functional TMO ICS. I use Wifi Calling a LOT, so, the current batch of ICS ROMs won't work for me as a DD, though I appreciate all the dev's work to provide (ie M&S .. too many to list)

I'm on JB right now, i've tweaked it out to fill my needs in every posible way. I was on Xenon HD ROM before flashing JB, and i miss the multiple shortcut lockscreen, can anyone tell me if this can only be done by a mod in the ROM?? or can it be flashed with an app? I would prefer not removing the google shortcut, but i guess it would be very difficult.
afaik this is only possible via mod or custom ROM.
I have also gone through every single setting and haven't seen anything about adding more shortcuts to lockscreen.
Thanks for answering man. So I guess they won't be modifying any JB rom till
the mid July version comes out right. We'll have to wait for it a little longer. Those little mods are very helpful

Its not a stock feature. And yes, you'll see more of that once we get full source for 4.1 in the coming weeks.
Just flashed cm10 and loving it but missing a couple of apps that were on the stock Rom
Anyone have the apk for these apps or know where I can get them?
- rotating live wallpaper (where you can select your own photos)
- smart alarm with gradual wake-up
- battery percentage apk
I really miss those apps but otherwise love cm 10
Thanks!

I believe that most, if not all, Samsung Touchwiz apps have a different framework than that of AOSP so they're not compatible on AOKP/CM10 (other way around still works, you can use AOSP apps on any Sammy ROM). There are most likely similar apps to the ones you're currently searching on the Play Store.
They are Touchwiz specific apps made by Samsung.. not just missing from cm 10.. they wont work without TW.. there are some ROMs on here that blend aokp look/feel with TW, try one of those. On a side note, this is really a Q&A thread, Apps/themes section is for posting actual apps and themes.. not just asking about them. I know our forum is blended and not like that but it is supposwd to be.

Hey all I was looking at alternative Clock apps and found Timely and I was wondering if their is a way to make it the default clock app to open when I single click the clock in the status bar? If it's possible a quick how to would be awesome! Since the app can sync across all android devices, I want to apply the same setting to the status bar clock (if possible) on my Nexus 7 tablet (1 generation) as well. I'm running [ROM][SPH-D710][JB][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 Official Nightly Builds on my phone and Official Cm10.1.3 on the Nexus 7. All help is much appreciated!

Disclaimer: This is based on AOKP, I'm pretty sure it's this way under CM too, but not 100%, so I apologize if this doesn't work for you
Settings => Rom Control => Clock (under statusbar)
Then you can change the actions for clock short click, clock long click, and clock double click.

CM doesnt have Rom control in the settings
You can try to backup and delete the CM clock and see if timely pops up. It's worth a shot.

Tried this as well but the status bar just continuously force closes till I restore the clock

It requires to re-map the clock to the timely app, then. Which is beyond my knowledge.
Is the long-click stuff mentioned here helpful? https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-962
Based on my linux skillz, it does seem like their should be some way to do this via symlinking, but I can't even find the clock app in the places the other apps seem to live, so I don't know how to go about doing this, sorry

Heh actually the guy was asking the same question as I am. The long press I already knew about I just want to click on the clock app and it use my clock. The forum also said what I knew that older versions of cm allowed it but for some reason 10.1 doesn't or at least I don't know how to access it

Sorry for the grave digging but, has anyone found a way to do this? I'd love to be able to do it.
