There are hundred of people who are new to our community ,
my only goal is for them to easily understand how wonderful
android phones are.
Especially in this special forum of ours ,
like they say -
"The more the merrier"
More people = Much Much more fun.
By compiling all our threads in a neat way ,
hopefully wonder users won't get bored on this thread i created.
Have Fun Guys.

I see it's just the same as this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653907
Though this one, is more eye catching. Try not to make duplicate threads tho... The more, the merrier, the clutterer...
And I believe this should go to General, not development..

Yup ^^
MIUI 2.2.10 :FTW:
pikachu edition?? Where to find that plz??
Well plz add official MIUI on your list. Using 2.2.10 MIUI on my defy+ and loving it (except from the 88% charging issue). Also tried other MIUI releases but the official one seems to have less bugs and no force-close problems

it would be nice if there was an option to change your vote or to be able to vote twice. Some users have multi boot like me, cm 7.2 on phone and cm9 on micro SD

Running WIUI v4 ICS (Android 4.0.3).
To be honest not the fastest or most responsive, at least compared to CM7 but I really like the "feel" of this rom and will most likely stay with this one for a while.
Flash happy at the moment trying out all the different developers hard work.
Just wondering if the popularity of some roms is related to the ease of download??
Through Rom Manager for example rather than a file sharing site with poor download speeds...
Just a thought..
MIUI 2.3.9 (stable & consumes less battery than 2.3.16 & not much noticeable bugs)
OMG you didn't put any MIUI categories....are you part of cgm-ninja group up to destroy our little miui universe?
....ok...a little too much right? let me take my pill....ahm..yeah..thats better....
*cof* mmm.. i was saying that i use the AMAZING MIUI Pikachu Edition!!

Full wipe is recommended even though a full wipe script is included
Wipe.cache
Wipe dalvik cache
wipe data
Format.system
(calks format all works well for this, you can find links to it all over the e4gt threads)
it takes a second for the script to run through, it is a big boy when it comes to roms so be patient, and please make sure that md5 is correct prior to flashing, rom is around 412 mb(yup, 412, lol)

Oh yes, i almost forgot....there are to be no screenshots of this rom posted until halloween....muhuhaha...alot of people have worked really hard on this project and i want people flashing the rom to see it first hand as a screenshot won't do it justice, i can assure you everything works perfectly and it has been rigorously tested for two months with no issues, jay harper has agreed to clean up any screenshots until halloween, but please...i worked hard on this and that is the only request i have of you(edit; screenshot ban lifted)....now....

well this is my first rom and im still trying to figure out how to add a custom kernel to the actual rom. but im using ziggy,
Looks very interesting. I keep a lot of the bloat but that's just me haha. I like what you have done with it and some of your themes you've put out there. This should definitely be something someone wanting a slim bean experience with the stock feel. Good luck to you on the progress on this one.

Give the morphology a shot. lots of theming going on there and since this is TW based it should work.
NIce to see another dev around. I may just have to take an unused laptop and install linux on it so I can learn to dev... if I werent so freaking busy.
Okey before testing anything I just wanna say that 1st boot failed. Rebooted the device and it started but after Samsung logo it appeared "Unfortunately, Samsung TTS has stopped."

A rom idea...

OK guys lets see. I'm getting quite tired and bored with my dumb ports. So I decided to make this thread to see what all your opinions on the best rom ever would be. Everyone is free to suggest ideas. This will be the greatest rom ever! One that makes everyone happy.
Launcher
Icons
Apps
Android Version
Theme
Tweaks
Type of rom - AOSP, AOKP, CM, MIUI, etc..
Sound Mods
Please be thinking about those so I can try and make a rom that can be for everyone. Name: OMNI-ROM
OMNI - Meaning everything or all
ROM - ...You should know what this means...
Alright there will be marvelc support as well. BAM!!!
So any ideas?
Hey thehacka1! Dude, I appreciate all your efforts and achievements and I don't mean to disappoint you with what I'm going to say, but....
I think all of these things are pretty much customisable. The only thing someone has to pick is the base rom and then he can transform it however he likes, even within the rom itself. So, I think we reached a point in which new rom posts don't make any noticeable difference, like those of alquez, modpunk etc back in the old days.
And to answer your question, what I generally prefer is the cyanogenmod UI. djoliviers "nameless CM10" and it's scripts cover my needs. I bypass the usb tether bug with 3rd party apps and use spiritFM for fm radio.
The only decision I have to make personally is whether to use a -Modded stock rom- and customise it however I like (launcher, apps, int2ext+ etc) or the cm10 port as I use it now.
Correct me if I'm wrong, plus I'd like to hear your opinion about what I think.
Friendly, polfrank

Thanks for your reply. I understand what you mean but what I was talking about was modding the framework. Alright then. Only one option left. Port Android Revolution HD and Toasted Marsh mellow. These are two ROMs our device does not have. Another is JellyBam. These will be my new projects:
Toasted Marshmallow
Android Revolution HD
JellyBam
And any other ROMs the Wildfire S doesn't have...
WISH ME LUCK!!!

hehe! I really wish you luck! But now that you say it, you mentioned something about cm10.1 framework in a post in the development section. This is something I would really be interested in.
GOOD LUCK!
ps. you can do it.
The only base I require is included...... marvelC support. Lol. But seriously, I ran Team Baked Black Beans aokp for quite some time on my Evo and loved it. I'm working on a few builds though, nothing to consider a breakthrough, I just wanted choices on the marvelc. And I'm really most comfortable building myself so when something doesnt work, I have an entire build environment at my disposal.

Android 4.2.x can't be ported or compiled yet for a display's incompatibility and the github where we took display's sw is deleted about 2 years

This alone makes my day!
For me, the best ROM would use the newest JB and be compact/slim in size. Anything else I can learn to use and adapt to. I know there have been GPS issues, but if there was any way you could make that work - I would be overjoyed.
That's all. I don't ask for much.
Thank you!

Theme request 4.2.2

Hi all!
Well, before the GS4 and 4.2.2 there was a lot of themes, good artists aswell, like mototo and alexanter.
But now it seems cold, sure there must be themes for 4.2.2 aswell? (GS3 with latest leak (4.2.2))
Or can I use themes for GS4?
Plan B (with a big B) is to sit down and mod 4.1.2 themes. They almost work, some things mess up, but should be possible to sort out. but still, tips for 4.2.2 themes?
