Hi guys, im working on a theme using the kitchen, as i have tried building roms but was always getting wrong java version, error. needed rolling back, uninstalled but still said the same thing, :/
anyway. this is my 1st ever theme, its only a light theme with little mods,
such as loading animation, battery. and colours.

i did try building a rom from source. i had ubuntu 12, and had the whole 9gb or so android tree ect. but the java version was to high. 1.4.6. needed to be 1.4.0.
uninstalled it but it remaind in ther somewher, so i gave up, but then i read it needs to be ubuntu 11. as 12 is unsuported or something? incompatible in areas.
i could do with a easy setup guide just to get me going to be honest with software / commands list in order

Here is just the beginning of my theme, i was working on my theme and then JFv1.4 came out, so i decided to stop my JFv1.3 production and make it compatible with the update.... so as i am doing that I thought id share my newest creation for my PHILLIES Theme that I am creating...
The clock will be red, or red/white/blue with a blue background and red phillies P.... for the champs
...yeah i kno the picture shows a green clock... but its just my concept, I have it loaded and working on my Older is Better Theme, on my phone testing out the visual look and feel of it.... im debating whether to keep it transparent or use a regular non-clear version, THEME COMING SOON

yeah some themes replace the browser.apk and browser.odex which removes the multi touch and auto rotate and some themes replace superuser also and u lose access to root... but im building off of a theme thats compatible for JFV1.4 ive tested to see if both apps workk n they do npw for the theme making

The notification bar is part of the framework apk file, which isn't good to mess with unless you know what your doing as far as signing and pushing it back to the phone and all that.
I only successfully skinned a status bar in the new version of HTC Sense from the Desire HD because it supports skins its much easier to skin without changing out the framework and risk infinite reboot.

is it easy? yes and no since the framework is involved here

it's possible, it just takes a bunch if messing around to perfect your craft... basically you take the framwork-res.apk and the com.resoucres.apk and switch the white over tot he black. easier said than done...
I was all for the white status bar when I had my Eris. Now I love the black, I actually make the white bar black on CM6..

The base is from studjuice's Gingerbread for CM 6+
The battery and message symbol is from sisterchick's Minimal Remix
The only thing I made by myself are the data symbols
Theres just a symbol for the data connection icons. No blinking arrows.
I've tested this theme on froyo by lazslo 5.2, but it should work with any other rom based on CM6.
Remember that I will not take responsibilty for any fails on your phone after applying this theme. Also remember to do a backup!

the zip isnt flashable. you have to apply it with metamorph from the market. and for now it is only compatible with cm6 based roms.
i see u have updated for eclair thats great coz i am currently rocking super e going to give it a try
one request could you also include fonts in the metamorph file??????
I found these icons in deviant art they were made originally for windows but I ask the author to let me use them for android just to see what they would look like so here they are downloaded 200 + times

To install copy the mtz to the MIUI/themes directory on the SD card of your device, select it from within Theme Manager’s Local tab/ customize/ icon tab and apply
