Ive bought "SX56" and "SX66" OEM headphones for my CDMA BA (XV6600), both only play 1 ear unless I pull them out but then it sounds very weak and microphone and call button never works, even though they look identical to the OEM headphones the CDMA BA came with. With 99 cent generic stereo wired headset I can hear both ears but the headset is garbage sound quality wise. The OEM CDMA BA headphones worked fine with stereo and call button on my CDMA Motorola E815 (debuted aug 05). All my headsets have 4 conductors on plug. How can I convert the SX66 headphones into XV6600 headphones, arent both a BA and use the same headphone/headset connector? I would think a CDMA BA and a GSM BA have the same headset connector.
I am going to be buying a bluetooth headset soon for my HTC Universal pocket pc and I need help in deciding. Personally I would like to go for the best in BT headsets.
Personally I believe that the Plantronics Voyager 510SL is the best I can get and there is to be offered. I already have a Motorola HS850. Haven't used this one yet. Would anyone know if Motorola HS850 is compatible with the HTC universal? How about the Plantronics Voyager 510S BT headsets?
Anyways I would really like to know whats the best there is to offer and anything beyond plantronics.
Samsung WEP200 , Brillant BT headset and works well with UNI
agreed. Just bought one 3 days ago and it works perfectly with the universal.
Plantronics Voyager 510S
Alright looks like i am getting the best of bluetooth headsets in the market. The $400 Plantronics Voyager 510S. Just bought it off Plantronics and is arriving today. Will post pictures and performance data after testing.
Looks like it might be better than the Samsung WEP200
personally I hate these droid-headsets . personally I prefer the nokia hs-12W
Plantronics Voyager 510SL
My Plantronics Voyager 510SL has just arrived and is charging right now.
My motorola HS850 is garbage compared to the Plantronics Voyager 510SL.
I would say the Plantronics is the best bluetooth headset from all this research. .
Everything about this device is excellent. It has auto-answering, not only compatible with the Universal but other cable phones too.
You can hook it up into a phone jack and you are ready to go in home or office. Its wireless signals coverup the whole house, downstairs or upstairs and there is no disturbance what so ever. There are three earpieces included to fit all ears.
Even the HS10 phone handset can be placed right on which is robotic and lifts the reciever with the touch of the button!! Hands-free reciever??? WOW!
I use iTech BT headset. Has worked perfectly with all of my handsets till now. It wont hurt your wallet either

Plantronics Voyager 510SL Plus and HS10
Its amazing. I have never seen anything like this before. I guess this adds up to my knowledge database. This is some new technology never heard of. Indeed now it seems that Plantronics keeps their reputation and no wonder why Neil Armstrong used the plantronics headsets on the moon. These Plantronics guys are totally at the NASA scale and cannot be compared with a mere company like HTC. Infact we at xda-developers are far greater than HTC. The hardware upgrades i am talking about wont come for another 5 years. Especially Windows Photon.
Check this out for Plantronics Voyager 510SL Plus.
I hooked it up to my corded phone and there is a microphone that goes to the phone speaker. As soon as the phone rings the reciever is automatically picked up by this robotic device when it hears the phone ring. The call is forwarded to the headset which has wireless coverage throughout my office. I then answer the call and when i am done the robotic device sets down the reciever.
Amazing isn't it? This robotic device is called the HS10 accessory kit that comes with the bluetooth headset.
Motorola HS850 is no match to Plantronics. Motorola = Garbage in - Garbage out
Is this Plantronics Voyager 510SL also compatible with the HTC Wizard (imate K-Jam) ?

Any device that supports bluetooth. I think HTC Wizard has bluetooth so yes it will work with it. The Plantronics Voyager 510SL costs about $500-$600 USD along with the HS10 accessory kit.
could anyone tell me wich is a compatible headset with S200 Qtek?
http://www.plaisio.gr/productlist.aspx?catalog=22&category=69978020
i tested i.tech and Motorola H680 and both of them , when i make a call, my voice is transferd ok... BUT i cannot hear anything..
Please help!!
compatible BT audio headset
I have bought and tested on S200 two headsets (with audio-listen to mp3 or radio/with autoswitch audio and telephone calls vice versa):
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS200 you can plugin your own 3.5mm earphones
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 fixed earphones with replacable earbuds
Plantronics Pulsar 260 with replacable earbuds
Worked realy fine until now.
What works
I have tried about 10 different Jabra headsets, they all work, so go for them!
But I like my jabra I think it was 250 or 250v, it is really better than a lot of the new ones ofcourse, I bought mine new..
I use Sony DR-BT21G stereo headphone and can happily confirm they work well in both cases. The only issue with them is they occasionally cut out if your moving around/jogging etc, but thats bluetooth for you They work well when stationary.
If you need a A2DP toggle/switch rather than doing lots of clicks to connect them check out my polaris post below, the switch works well on my prophet

Hi,
i am looking for these two things for a Lumia 800 and 900. Need to be compatible with both devices:
1) A bluetooth speaker for the car, to make call, etc...
2) A bluetooth wireless speaker that use internal battery, just like the Nokia Play 360 speaker but, and alternative.
Thanks in advance!
I think the jawbone Bluetooth speaker can be an alternative
Sent from my Lumia 900 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Yeah, I highly recommend the Jawbone Jambox, but it is a little expensive.
Bought the Nokia Play 360 and the Monster Clarity HD.
Both incredible little piece of hardware, i prefer the Nokia Play 360 tho.
I got an iPhone mic with one button off of eBay, ie this one:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/180654215373?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_3008wt_934
I tought, for 2$ I'll give it a try!
To my surprise, everything works... Mic is working fine, button is working fine, audio sounds as good as any!
Does anyone else would care to test an iPhone accesorie and confirm that it is working on their device as well?
Even if the mic you bought was marketed as being for iPhones, it is a very standard 3.5mm mic jack.
It's not a "standard" 3.5mm jack, it is a TRRS 3.5mm connector.
The pinout of the TRRS on the iPhone is not the same as most of android devices. So, most of the time, the iPhone accessories won't work on most Android devices. Mic won't work, controllers won't work and sound could be distrorted.
That is why I ask people with iPhones compatible accessories to test it out. If it works, it could mean a whole new possibilities for accesories, like those:

I received one of those phone handsets that plug into the headphone as a gift, and it turned out it doesn't work with my Optimus G. Well, at least now I know...
You mean you received an iPhone headset and tried it on the Optimus G?
Nothing at all works? Or just one specific part?
I tried with a pair of OEM Apple headset, the sound and the control was working, but not the mic nor the vol+/-

Well, it's a phone handset, which plugs into any phone. It's not specifically made for the iPhone. The speaker works, but the mic doesn't.
I just wanted to confirm that my Sony MDR-EX38IP will only work to listen to music, no audio controls and no mic functionality.
Thanks
I bought a hands-free on the iPhone, and arm band sport gym running work holder case for iphone 5
Probably it won't work on other devices.... It's strange that goes on your G!
But if you need something similar i think that if you search you can find it... It must be a normal 3.5jack
Most newer Android phones will be fine with iPhone headsets, at least with partial functionality. The OMTP (Sony and LG, some Samsung) standard was phased out beginning last year, and most new phones will use the CTIA plug standard, which is what the iPhone uses.
