Polarcell Battery - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got a Polarcell battery for my Desire but the Battery doesnt show the correct voltage.
The voltage stays always at 3923mV.
I already sended the battery back and the new one does exactly the same thing.
Also the phone discharges pretty fast until 20% and takes almost the same time to discharge again to 1-2%
Battery History:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11911028/battery_history.txt
Any ideas?
Is there any file where i can adjust the settings for the battery (other capacity or stuff like this)?
Edit: I also installed a stock rom, because i thought its because of the custom kernel but it wasnt

I'd recommend getting a refund for the product and getting a genuine battery direct from HTC.

yeah... i will do that
do you have any good resellers?
cant get any original htc batterys at amazon or ebay, all fakes

[Q] Battery for Trophy

Found a website that offers better batteries for trophy( also for other phones). Has anybody had any experience with them?
Anyways the battery I am looking at the moment is this:
mugen-power-batteries[dot]com/htc/htc-7-trophy-t8686-htc-spark/mugen-power-1800mah-extended-battery-for-htc-7-trophy-t8686-htc-spark.html
I've ordered the 1800mah variant. According to the website, it will ship out on february, 18. Will let you know.
Thanks for the link. I ordered it and got the 1800 mAh today.
The phone is currently running of its first full charge, so atleast it works.
Will get back with impressions of battery power later. Perhaps I will try to do some tests.

Well, it certainly gives me longer battery life compared with the original battery. Though I can't say exactly how much longer, if it is the specced 50%; haven't conducted any tests yet.

I also would love to hear real world tests of how well it works. Getting a day and 1/2 would be great with out making the phone bigger...
Makes me wonder why HTC didn't put a 1500+ mah battery in the first place...

There was a delay in the stock/shipping. It shipped out today. Will let you know as soon as it is in.
Have been using the above described battery for 3 days now. I don't sense a positive difference, in fact I feel that it is running out of battery a lot sooner then the original one.

hmm it's a bit too thick for my taste but nice boost anyway!
HTC sells a 1500 mah battery that fits into the same case. I'm thinking of getting that, at least just to have a backup battery.
Do any of these other batteries fit into the same case?
I have a US / VZW trophy.
the 1500mah battery from the Evo doesnt fit right in the trophy. and the 1300mah battery doesnt even turn on the evo? weird
I haven't run in to any battery issues. I get through the entire day with the phone at 40% battery or so with moderate usage. On my Droid before this, I had to recharge in the middle of each day.
The 1750 that fit my incredible fits and works great

Yea, I got the Mugen 1800mah battery. I did find myself close to a or a dead battery after an regular day(hour to 2 calls, some browsing/games during the day) with the OEM battery.
With the same usage with the Mugen, I end up with about 30-40% left by the end of the day. As I won't say it will be perfect by any means, it will last longer than the factory battery in my tests, no question, about 30-40% more.
And YES, it does work in the Verizon version(on the site it said it does not work with the Verizon version), as I got mine from (http://www.mugenbattery.com/) and it works great.
as a point of interest to this thread, not sure if it's been pointed out yet, the Trophy shares the exact same battery (style) as the Droid Incredible. my wife has the Incredible and I can swap batteries between the two w/ no issues. So any battery you find for the incredible will work w/ the Trophy.

extended battery for aria???

Hello all, Like everyone these little Aria's are nice devices..
I however seem to have mine plugged to something all the time...
My ARIA, is rooted and running froyo 2.2, still the battery life is awful, even wit the average apps turned off.
1. are there extended battery's available for the ARIA?
2. are my only options buying several battery's and swapping?
3> does anyone have any advice that may help my ARIA, stay away from the dreaded WIRE for charging??
any help would be awesome..........tattooer
let the battery run all the way before you charge it
If you are having battery issues, I'd root it. Once you root, you can wipe battery stats, flash CM (amazing battery life), etc.

I think they have portable chargers...
I saw one at best buy, where you charge it (basically an external battery) and you can plug your phone into it when you need a charge for the phone.
Energizer Energi to go is also another option...
As for me, to get the best battery life I turn off 3g, since I'm mostly around wifi anyway.
My phone is running froyo 2.2 from a file.on my see card, I rooted my phone Rondo this. Is cm6. Betterr. Than froyo for battery life?
So there are no battery replacements that give more battery Life??I have searched. The web over and over.thanks for the help. Between cm6 and froyo which has the best battery. Life?
instead of thinking, 'i need to replace the battery because it doesn't last long enough', try thinking 'what can i do to help my phones battery last a bit longer'.
firstly, read this tutorial.
in regards to task killers, i suggest reading this, and this and this.
lastly, i would recommend installing juicedefender and watchdog.
also if you're willing since its still experimental I have been using build #12 of CM7 nightlies and my batteries last much longer then when I had 2.2. I play games check articles blah blah and get about 40% life left when I go to bed around 14 hours of usage time.

You are talking about "GOLD 2430MAH BA S430 BUSINESS BATTERY FOR HTC GRATIA"
The price and capacity sounds too good to be true. Curious if anyone tried these out.
I thought the same thing... i don't need to try it, but i'm a bit curious to know if it really works.
There is no way to pack 2430mah in a small form factor like that.
It should be over twice the thickness of a standard aria battery.
To get any extra milliamps, you would have to thicken or lengthen the battery.
Stock is it until they come out with something newer than lithium.

[BATTERY] Compatible batteries good quality

Hi to All.
I'm searching for a good compatible battery for SGY. Someone have tested them yet and can give me an advice? I need a battery of the same quality or better than the original. On ebay there are many cheap battery, but for experience i know that them are often... very bad.

instead of changing your battery, why don't you try other alternatives?
like switching off your wifi and data if your not using them or adjusting your screen brightness to minimal and you can also set the screen time out to 15secs
you can also use "no animations" in the display as it consumes more resource and avoid using live wallpapers
you can also try freezing system apps and services that you are not using via titanium back up
Yes, i do it already and my battery, if i don't use the phone for games or internet, can last up to 3 days... but sooner or later I will owever change it, then I open this thread to see if anyone have some experience with compatible batteries.
bigger capacity
im also in the same shoe, my original battery is a 4,44 Wh but it goes 70down in one day with gps wifi bt turned off. this means i have to charge it every day. Can you please suggest a good quality reliable bigger capacity set? It can be bigger size as im looking for a custom back cover anyway.
made in China battery
I got two chinese made Li-Ion 3.7V replacement of the El-Cheapo type, but they are quite acceptable. the label does not identify a maker tho. looks cool tho: when placed in SGY it is totally black.

Does anybody know batteries with higher capacity for the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos (S6102) like the ones with 2430mAh capacity for SGY from ebay?
Or are the batteries for the SGY compatible with the batteries for the SGY Duos?
I took the plunge and ordered a 2430mAh High Capacity Gold Replacement Battery For Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 from an Ebay seller a few weeks ago and it finally arrived today. Came out a little below 11 US$ delivered to my local post office. Fits a bit snug but installed without any issues. The battery charged right away and after an hour it was fully charged. Will keep in my phone and I'll post a review in a few days. :good:

1st report on the 2430mAh SGY battery.
After the 1st charge, the battery lasted for 2 and a half days with regular use (wifi, a few calls and games). So far it's performing really well. Next reports would be about how many avi files I can watch on a single charge and probably how long the charge will last on continuous gaming app. :good:

Seems like you got a faulty battery or something wrong with your phone. Try restoring to stock ROM and check if the problem persists, also try with any other battery. Those 2430MAH batteries are very good, cheap and giving a lot more battery backup than stock. Im having them for about 7 months and never faced any problem

I have m9 battery in my m8...i tried to replace the volume buttons and during that i damaged my battery and the screen heheehhe... Then i must buy new screen and battery and decided to upgrade it with the m9 battery... The screen was brand new and also the baterry. Now i have problems with touch screen and the phone turns off randomly with sound off low battery. When i turn it on the battery is not low... And i got a half inch dead touch strip on my screen... Can this be because of the m9 battery, bad voltage or somnthing similar...
Sorry for my really bad English... :cyclops:
Just to confirm, the m9 battery works normal and that random reboots was not related to the battery... But i dont see any upgrade in the battery life...

Replacement batteries, which one is good?

Hi everyone,
I've been thinking about replacing my battery and a quick search on Ebay led me to find some sellers who claim to have a 3700 mAh batteries.
Now my first response is to not trust these batteries and just get an original one, which I probably will, but I'm really curious if anyone here has tried one?
Here are a couple of links to these 3700 mAh batteries:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BLP633-370...342121?hash=item1edc516aa9:g:~BMAAOSwoX5asMid
https://www.ebay.com/itm/3700mAh-Ba...743007?hash=item1ee028189f:g:Ac0AAOSwqxRa7B00
https://www.ebay.com/itm/3700mAh-BL...652403?hash=item2cd4142a73:g:wjEAAOSwsxJa9Isl
What are your thoughts about these?
Don't get any battery that isn't a OnePlus Battery. If you have a choice, never go for the battery that is advertised with a different amperage.
Go for a 3400mAh battery, better if it's a OnePlus original. Since our devices uses Dash Charge, which is only on OnePlus devices, it's best to go for an original, since we cannot know what effect DC will have on third party batteries.
Unless your battery has degraded lower than 50% and you need an emergency replacement till your original arrives, these batteries should not be trusted. There even may be a risk of high thermals and degrading your other phone hardware too.

Rated means how much it is designed to have, and tested is the actual amount of MAh in the battery. With every battery there is a difference between rated and tested. 3300MAh tested is actually really good.
I wonder how much the original batteries are tested for.

BTW, does anyone notice that after replacing the battery, the AccuBattery app is completely out of whack?
I cleared the data to get some clean info on my new battery, but after two or three charges, the app sees my new battery as ~2500mAh and with every charge it's rising. (My last battery was calculated as ~2800mAh)
So far it seems that the battery lasts longer, so the data from the app is conflicting...
I know that the AB app data isn't really reliable in comparison to real measuring equipment, but I'm just wondering about this.
I have replaced it, but it says that it have 0% charge, and doesn't charge anymore. Any help?
Edit: The seller have sent one more to me; it's corrupt, they say.

Ok. The new one have arrive and I have the same problem. Was your replacement plug & play? Were you on OOS?
Both batteries shows 0% battery when I attach them.

I just replaced my OP3T battery with a replacement from here:
https://www.mobilesupplies.nl/oneplus-3t-batterij-blp633-3400-mah-origineel.html
It says it's an original and so far it works like a charm. Will report back on how it performs.

In my experience non-OEM batteries start to degrade after a few months. How has yours held up? I'm looking to replace mine if I can find a genuine OEM part.

The one I bought is supposed to be genuine, it even bears a OnePlus logo. But the first died on me in a week or two, so I got a free replacement from them, and so far it fares great. AccuBattery reports it as being well above 3000mAh, and I can reach the end of the day with my phone again, so I'm quite happy.
so why does everyone praise oneplus for their easy to repair devices and parts and build quality and all, if I can't even buy a replacement part? I'm forced to buy a new phone because my battery is broken. So next time I will go and buy a Samsung. Harder to open and all but I can buy a original battery in any other store.

There are plenty of stores that sell original batteries. And a plethora of non-original batteries to choose from too.
I just send my phone back to OP and have them replace the battery under warranty (It's covered.)
