Gapps issue - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Well im from Venezuela south América, i bought my Gnex from Amazon and it came with yakju 4.0.2... I upgraded via OTA to 4.0.4 IMM76D and had issues with signal drops and known issues from that version.. So i rooted / unlocked and started trying different roms.
The one i liked more was AOKP And so flashed m4 and now im on m5 and have no issues at all but no matters wich custom rom i choose, i gotta flash gapps as a side zip, and i know they are not open source so devs can not include em with the rom but, my phone out of the box and even if i flash an official Google image i can have all google apps such as google maps and etc
I managed to download most of them with market enabler cuz they are not all included in the gapps. Zip we gotta flash with custom roms
But when ever i try to download google maps, market enabler will show me the App in the market list but no matters what it wont let me download the App, it says is not available in my country and i want that app.. So would be someone so kind and share the App here for me?
Thanks in advance

Im not quite sure are you saying you dont want to or cant install the gapps pack or just that you want the extra google apps aswell?
The gapps pack is more than just some google apps and its adviseable to flash it.
Mark.

Try googling 'google maps 6.7' you will find plenty of places that have the apk to download and flash manually.

Like euroskank and cm9 nightly, there is no functioning auto update of the android market apps tied to the google backup account. There must be a reason for this since all 3 rooms don't do it.

Yes, the common cause is the 4/22 Gapps. Use the 4/29 Gapps and the issue is fixed.

Jelly Bean kernel question

Like many of you others out there, the past few days, I've been flashing all different kinds of Jelly Beans on my GSM Galaxy Nexus. First, I installed bigxie's 4.1 (v1 and v2), then I installed bigxie's 4.1.1 (AOSP). It might be important to mention that my Gnex is originally a yakju and obviously all these versions of JB are for takju, so my phone has essentially been "converted." Later I reflashed the stock 4.1 from the I/O and then installed the official Google .zip file (from xda) that updates from the I/O 4.1 to 4.1.1. After doing this, I noticed this morning that my kernel version was different from others who had just installed 4.1.1 via OTA with the System Updates. So this afternoon I used the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit v7.4 to download and flash the Google factory ICS 4.0.4 image, which obviously deleted everything from the phone. Then I turned wifi on and went to System Update and it was already downloading the Jelly Bean official update, as pictured below:

After installing the above update, I checked the phone's info section and I still had a different kernel version than everyone else, as see below:

While I have kernel 3.0.31-ge8de0e2, it seems like other people have 3.0.31-g6fb96c9. As mentioned before, I had to resort to going back to stock, vanilla 4.0.4, then downloading/installing the update and I still don't have this newer kernel. What is different about this kernel and why is my phone unable to get it?
I have that build of the kernel (g6fb96cp), it really shouldn't matter which one you have.
Something strange just happened to my phone.
After doing some searching online, it seems that the 3.0.31-ge8de0e2 kernel is the same one that comes with the developer preview of JB 4.1 from the Google I/O phones. Just now, I downloaded an update for Google+, and when I restarted my phone, I was suddenly magically on the 3.0.31-g6fb96c9.
Is it even possible that a single app update could carry a kernel update as well?!?!?

Now that I couldn't answer, it's possible but unlikely. All an app has to do is replace boot.img, something that many other kernel apps are capable of (franco.kernel's app, ezekeel's app).

[Q] CM/Gapps questions

I see different Gapps zips for different versions of CM but don't understand the version connection. I assume using one version of Gapps on different version of CM isn't recommended, but what if one only wants certain Gapps and not the rest? I want Play store, maps, search but not much else. Do I install zip and then delete unwanted apps or do I install APKs that I have already on other S3 that's not rooted but has latest versions automatically? Both are currently ICS...and I'm not interested in JB.

[Q] Location and Gapps not working

Hi,
My China HTC One X on 4.1.1 did not come with Gapps, so after rooting, I flashed the JB version of Gapps. Play store installed without a problem and I also installed Maps.
However, Google is still absent from the Accounts & Sync section.
Location does not work either (tried with the weather app and Maps), It just says location unavailable although I'm on Wifi
I posted in another thread about the some of the details of my phone if you need it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173586)
Can someone help?
Thanks!
gapps is for the stock android. Try flashing a stock jelly bean rom.

LT26i Google Play Custom ROM

Hi guys,
Im looking for a custom ROM for my phone, it is already rooted and at the moment running Cyanogenmod 11 Beta 3.
But I was wondering, is there any ROM with (preferbly android 4.4) Google Play, or something which I can install it with, because I really miss that.
Kind regards.

You can flash gapps
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
You have to flash the GAPPS manually. Otherwise even you individually install the Google Play, it won't work normally.
