Apps - what they do, what to disable

Is their a list of what the preinstalled apps do, so we can choose what to disable? Most of them are obvious but some aren't.
Although tbh all disabling does is stop them updating, they still run.

[Q] what is com.htc.task.dm ?

I have installed ARHD 5.1 on my HOX and I have used ROM Cleaner (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589949) to remove garbage and other bloatware.
I have used the normal ROM Cleaner v1.0 but I saw that social networking stuff were still left. I never do facebook or twitter so I decided to have those files removed also.
I am receiving sync issues with my gmail. Going to accounts/sync and gmail shows com.htc.task.dm can not be synced at all.
What is this process? And what is it trying to sync?

Customizing the Custom ROM - Removing the "safe mode" function. DEV HELP!!!

I had a hardware problem, my option button is been pressed and automatically the mobile boots into safe mode, in which i can never install a 3rd party application. I am using a custom ROM, Ultimate HD 4.0 if you can tell me where is the safe mode confd file and how i can remove its function, so that even if the key is pressed when booting, the system should not boot into safe mode.
Your may recommend me to produce the mobile in service centre, but i would like to take this as a challenge , please do help me .!

This is Android's built-in feature. There is no way to remove it, just like Windows has safe mode.

They recommend to press other buttons.
Also, try playing with the menu button, so it would not stay as pressed.
