Does anyone have TELENAV 5.1 Traffic?

If this is in the wrong place move it please. I have of course my 8525 and am going on a trip where I think it would help to have traffic support. Given all of the things I have acquired here before the intended release date I figured I would ask. The version which supports this is I believe 5.1 (Telenav)

Wow, Hey everyone thanks for all the feedback! I thought I was the only one wondering about this but now I see all the responses and feel allot better. Thanks guys
You posted your question in the early evening where I live - which means travelling home from where I work, evening meal, kids, wife and lot's of other things have to happen before I can sit down and play on my computer and I would imagine the same applies to a lot of other people on this forum.
Not everybody who comes on these forums lives down the street from you so just try showing a little patience to get an answer. It could be the middle of the night for several readers, or even the very early morning for others. It's just possible that you might have to wait a little longer than 3hrs, 59 minutes to get exactly what you want.
And no, I don't have Telenav 5.1.
And no, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.
Smiffy.
Having a bit of fun brotha, I just figured I make a joke of it. Thanks for the response LOL
Me too - my wit is just a little too acerbic when I'm low on sleep ;-)
Shouldn't the telenav 5.1 come with traffic..? No i dont have it hahaah but my friend has 5.1 =)
from the telenav website the only one that will work for the 8525 is 4.1.

Telenav hasn't given a sh!t about the Windows Mobile group for at least a year now and shows no signs of starting. I'd look for a better nav solution if I were you. I highly doubt 5.1 will be coming to the Hermes any time soon.

Service Planner request

Hi,
without getting into a religious discussion because I'm not sure how that would go over on this site. I have a big request, I'm not sure how hard it would be to create a program like this
http://www.serviceplanner.co.nz/
The only reason that I would like a similar program is because this one uses sprint dp wich for one isn't free and two isn't very fluid. I appreciate any feedback, if it is too difficult that is fine but I know there would be alot of interest in this program. They make one for iphone that is similar and very popular with alot of jw's.
thanks ahead of time

About to buy a Touch Pro 2

Hey guys, im coming from android to the winmo world, because im kind of getting tired of it.
i love having keyboards, and a nice solid feeling phone, therefore i went for the Rhodium.
I have 1 question though. I have had some abusive ex-girlfriends who always try to call and text me, and of course it upsets my current girlfriend and myself. Android has an app called Super Private Conversation(SPC), which allows you to blacklist certain numbers, and it automatically sends calls from that number to your voicemail, and it marks you sms messages as a private conversation, therefor you never get a notification.
anyways, my question is, if i get the Touch Pro 2, is there a way to block calls and sms from certain numbers?
thanks!any help is appreciated!
*edit: Also, im sorry if i have posted this in the wrong section, im not used to this part of the forum, so please move it accordingly. thanks!
Blackballer
interesting. i would buy android now. tp2 is ok i suppose, just way too slow. the timor rom is faster than the original tmobile rom. still, tp2 need 50% faster cpu.
what you did not like in the android?
sorry, i have no answer to your question.
check this also
http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/1629/block-unsolicited-incoming-calls-with-call-block-1-01.html
there are many apps for WM, .. btw, have you considered Samsung OmniaPro B7610? ... it has QWERTY keyboard 800MHz Processor, AMOLED Display, and ofcourse Windows Mobile 6.5.
read some reviews and compare Touch Pro2 with OmniaPro B7610 before you make your final decision
cheers
Thanks for the replies guys!
There is not one thing i dislike about android, honestly. But im on tmobile for another year and a half, and im not a fan of their mobile selection. I currently have the Moto Cliq, but it doesnt have enough development surrounding it, and its very slow and laggy. The G1 is outdated. And the new nexus one doesn't have a keyboard.
So really, im just looking for the nicer phone with the most customization, and i feel as if i will get that with the touch pro 2
Try Ringo. Ringo can assign different ring tones including silence for both calls and SMS. I am happy with it.

just wait, with the cliq being rooted now, there are devs that are working fast to get custom ROMs out. I know there are ppl like justanotherdev working and manup456 and CC are working also. modmymoto.com is a good place to check out cliq developments if you havent been there yet, check it out. it may save your cliq.

ya i know, im on modmymoto everyday. there hasnt been anything significant in a couple of weeks. theres a sense hero, but the dev is having problems with the radio. then there are 2 generic ROM's with a couple of changes, but nothing significant.

Thanks to all

Hi peeps
Im not an avid poster but i do a lot of reading, had an HD2 before i got rid of last week and bought the desire.
I love this phone and this is just a shout out to all those peeps who work hard on producing the ROMS and apps etc for this top notch device, im learning new things about this thing everyday.
Its now rooted using one click method as previous methods wouldnt do it and am using a cooked Froyo rom which is great.
am working on setting up my SD card for the apps but getting lost in it all at minute
but again thanks to all and keep up the great work you are doing
thecleric
Sorry if this question has been asked.
But there's a one click method to root Desire now?

I think this is the one you are looking for. I haven't tried it but it sounds promising.

Thanks a lot for your time and your effort!
Awesome, feefeeboomboom/isaac. The flipside stinks on 2.1. There is no storage space. I really really want 2.2 or 2.3 to be able to store my apps on the SD card.
I hope it you are making progress and that you stay with your GF and that she lets you play with her phone.
Any Updates?
I'm willing to help
Never deved on an android phone before, but I'm a linux admin, and I love doing custom hacks on these things. If I can be of help, let me know. Trying to see how to get the ball rolling on setting up a CM6 version for this phone right now. I'm pretty sure with the limited hardware that this phone has, CM7 would be a huge overkill -- if it would run at all.

Well a cm7 ROM was just realeased for the Motorola Backflip...you really think it would be too much on the Flipside?

Well, you caught me. I actually think it would run fine, but it is much easier to use the same kernel and just mod everything else. You can run 2.2 on 2.1 kernels, but you can't run 2.3 on 2.1 or 2.2. So, with that said, it's much easier for me to just take a current image, strip out the bloat, and give everyone a new version based on 2.2 that works out of the box than finding all the missing kernel modules for 2.3 and building it from there.
In short, I'm lazy, and I want to have a newer release out faster.
haha oh ok no sweat! Sorry wasn't tryin to call you out...just curious. Anything that can be done would be great! Hope you get something going soon!
I was thinking of maybe getting the flipside on te insurance program (from a backflip) but it seems like you guys are worse off than us. i cant seem o find source code on moto's site... do you guys know where it might be?
Any progress on a CM7 port? I just got my GF a flipside since she can't deal with on screen keyboards....and she previously had a backflip with CM7 lol
so I've been visiting recently on this and the cyanogen mod forums and it doesn't look like anyone has hit gold yet, or have I missed something somewhere and all the cool kids are having fun with their flipsides and I'm out in the lurch?
My wife too got this phone because of the keyboard...If no development comes soon...I think I might just try and sell it to whatever sucker wants to buy it and then head on over to Canada (eh?) and purchase a G2...
maybe soon...
Motorola is beta testing froyo right now. We may soon have a valid froyo image for the awesome development teams to work with.
