Is there a stable ios rom for desire hd? I think it would be cool to have
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
iOS cannot be ported directly to this phone as Apple does not release the code for it so it cant be modified easily.
However, the MIUI ROM is quite popular and is made to look like iOS. That is a good option.
...and it would be like putting a Fiat Uno engine in a Ferrari
Next they wil ask for WM6.5, and 6.1... or even 5.
Jesus...
I would be happy to have WP7 ported, though i don't use it not even in my HD2
you could always install a MIUI rom form the dev thread
then download and install this..... (this guy has done some amazing work around transforming the phone into almost an identical replica)

If you want something that looks like the icrap then MIUI will be your best bet. IOS will never see an android port so that as close as you will get
Thanks guys, you are kinda right with the fiat punto lol

Well with the update of from apple, iOS5 is basically almost android like.
-Notification tray taken
-cloud syncing
-voice commands
Heck they even wanted to implement a silimar home screen and app drawer...
And on that note. Thread closed
I just don't know what to say... I have the money in my account and I'm on my iPad ready to purchase the One X but I feel it will be a bad decision. Check out this video comparaison between the one x and the nexus. It's from phonearena, I know they haven't been really fair towards the One x, but flash works WAY better on the nexus than the one x. What are those 2 extra core good for really?

I'm watching this right now.
I already said in the Mega Thread that something was wrong with the flash judging by a video of a flash animation stuttering that caught my eye.
(I think that it was on htc's website)
Can any One X owner confirm how flash runs on their device?

I just tried, and the blizzard site indeed runs like the video.
However, this suprised me, because other sites with flash, such as newgrounds , run perfectly smooth (while running a flash movie that is). Like 60fps smooth, even when zooming and scrolling.
Anyone got more flash heavy sites for me to test?
Stock browser issue perhaps? Is anyone using Dolphin or FireFox?...assuming flash runs on those

Yeah flash works like a dream on mine.. I havent tried the site in the vid, but everything is instant and very smooth

Tried on dolphin, same result.
Once again, only happening on the blizzard site, can't find any other laggy sites. Any suggestions as what to try?
Also, the browser is like the best thing about the one x lol, it's the fastest and smoothes I've ever seen just as a FYI
I've had no problems at all with flash when using the stock browser. But I use chrome mostly so I'm not so fussed.

For one site? I really wouldn't worry then! Thanks for testing..

Hey I ve tried a couple live news stream feeds(flash videos), runs pretty good. It starts out a bit laggy tho but after running in for a minute or so it gets pretty smooth.
Just tried finding the heaviest flash site I could, ended up at http://saizenmedia.com/fubon/
It ran really well on the one x, enuff said.
On my One X using dolphin hd Ive massive issues with every flash video site...
If i try to change into fullscreen mode the browser stocks and wont load anything else even new tabs are not loaded...
My S2 had much much better flash performance. Ok the rom on my S2 is extremly optimaized but the difference is large, Ill try to post a vid later...
This is working fine on my phone, keeps me entertained for 2 mins

Bummer. Was lurking around here hoping to find some i/o benchmarks for One X's implementation of Tegra 3 when I saw this thread.
Tried the Blizzard site shown in that Phonearena video on my Transformer Prime and Galaxy S2.
Now I'm wondering if Samsung knows something Nvidia doesn't.
Hey guys,
I've recently discovered a loop hole in the Sense 4 lockscreen on the One X. It would be greatly appreciated if you bring awareness to this issue. Unfortunately, since this is my first post, I am unable to include any links to the YouTube video I have made. Hopefully I can post it as a reply to this thread because its very interesting.
I think I'm the only one that knows about this. So please comment if you have this issue too.
I'm guessing you mean where you can get the ICS entry screen on the security lock?

ICS lockscreen on Sense 4
Yeah the stock ICS lockscreen instead of Sense 4 lockscreen. Has this issue been discussed before?

No, but if your the guy that left a comment on the Engadget post about HTC and left a link to your video too than its your video I've seen.
I wouldn't call it a bug, as it doesn't affect the system in a negative way, in fact I think it looks better then the Sense overlay they added.

Haha small world! I have the Galaxy Nexus and it was my brothers One X. He always tells me to find a way to disable Sense or find a ROM that uses the Stock ICS. He believes that native ICS on the One X would be the best.
I'm loving my Galaxy Nexus, can't wait to get my hands on the Galaxy S 3 and so excited to see what the next Nexus would be like.
It kinda sucks that I can't post the YouTube link here though.

Hey dude, I'm the guy with the funny voice talking about the glitch with the HTC Sense, I've been looking for a Custom ROM which runs on the Vanilla ICS for the One X but I have been unlucky
If you ever come across any good build Custom ROMS please do let me know.
Cheers, and do pass the link around, perhaps someone would know how to bypass the HTC Sense without having to complete it replacing it

Until you get enough posts to include links, you can always get around that by putting spaces in the URL, which people can then remove.
e.g. www. youtube .com/watch?v=6IgKDE2-Vr4
Interesting bug, thanks for pointing it out.

I was going to get the Nexus, but then the One X sorta got dragged into the equation and it was purely because of the displays that I went for the One X. I probably would have gone for the One S were it non-pentile. I don't care what you say, the One X is pure gorgeous compared to the S3

I'd do a search for you, but I'm using my phone at the moment not a computer and I'm extremely busy. If you browse the development section of the One X forums I know for a fact there is a One X Vanilla ROM. Don't bother searching, just go OneX>Development and browse around those top threads, plenty of other ROM's there too. It'll likely be on page 1 or 2.

Yeah I personally didn't like the design of the Galaxy S 3, the One X does look sexy but ever since my Sensation XE I've lost interest in HTC Sense. The Galaxy S 3 interface intrigues me although I hate Touchwiz. Well, I wouldn't mind giving it a try by the time the next Nexus comes out

I agree, Sense 3 was too heavy, Sense 3.5 was a fail and despite being created in tandem with Sense 4, Sense 3.6 really doesn't improve much.
Sense 4, different story. Still unstable, but give it a few months
Samsung's are only fast because they have **** software on then, that's an opinion not a fact. Touchwiz offers NO functionality more than the Stock Vanilla launcher, so why bother?
S3 + Vanilla hits the spot, but so does the One X

I hate how manufacturers attempt to be creative and make their user interface distinctive. They ruin the whole experience! I love my Nexus and hope that Google would release maintenance updates every month! I'd love to see some minimalistic lockscreen notifications!

The one thing I long for on my phone is the time when the phone is locked. Old devices used to do it, like old Nokia's and the Lumia Symbian devices
For me, Sense improves the overall experience. I see Sense as an OS. Really it is Sense featuring Android, not Android featuring Sense, but that just shows how dedicated to improving and innovating software HTC are, now optimization is the key!
Phones need something like Windows Update, exploits and problems are found all the time, but fixes are never rolled out individually unless they are extremely crucial.

I've unlocked the bootloader and flash the official yakju build because my carrier was so delayed with updates! In fact, they're still stuck on 4.0.1. My Asus Transformer Prime had the 4.0.3 update before my nexus! The update strategy manufacturers are using sucks!

Thanks for pointing the space technique out bro, I was aware of it but could be bothered spacing it as jaaystott has already provided the link.lol
I've noticed a lot bugs mostly with the stock browser which I hardly use (mostly using Chrome), and I think HTC should invest a little more time on it as it's their flag-ship, but I'm also disappointed with how the One S beats the One X in all benchmarks. tsk tsk tsk....
Hopefully a well built ROM (Vanilla ICS) will come along and will get rid of all the heavy stuff in HTC Sense and will give a bit of an extra boost performance wise.

Have looked through the forums but can't see anything about much about 4.5. These roms that say they have 4.5 from the Chinese leak is there much difference from 4.1
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
There are minor differences. Im on 4.5 right now and while the differences arent much i do enjoy it. Im happy the arrows for instance are not on htc's stock keyboard anymore . what else mhmm. Camera, when you tap the screen to autofocus a picture will automatically be taken once the camera is sharp and focused.. imo browser got improved.. just a few touches here and there, not something to be impatient over though. But nice!

I suppose you guys mean the more agressive process closing? It's not a bug, put purely a shortcut from HTC to lesser the Sense redraws.

I absolutly hate multitasking on smartphones, dont see the reasons to have tons off apps in memory.
Never used the recent apps dialog yet...but well everyone got another user behaviour.
To fix this multitasking issue, you would need to unlock and root your phone first...or wait until you get your Jellybean OTA, maybe the multitasking issue is fixed there.
