So my attempt to flash a new rom onto my device was a huge epic fail. I haven't had a working phone now in 4 days because I can't seem to get anything to work. I followed everything to the letter and I still couldn't get anything working. I attached a picture of by hboot screen, I'm using a class 10 8gb sdhc patriot card, and this isn't the first time I've flashed a rom to one of my devices. I have had it working before on my hold htc hd2, along with my wildfire device. can anyone help me out with what i'm doing wrong? i get so close by never have network, data, or wifi connections or it keeps telling me com.android.process has stopped. bout to give up.
oh and if this isn't the right place or I shouldn't of posted this then I apologize and feel free to move/delete this.
p.s. i'm also thinking i should just try to restore to complete factory settings if i can even manage to do that.
If you could tell is which rom you tried to flash we could help you
Also please specify if your phone is a CDMA or GSM version

I've tried all of those, mine is marvelc 510e i think, so i know some of those are only for marvel and thats probably why they didnt work. only one that really worked for me is in bold. the only problem i had with that one was that it wouldnt connect to my network, or even detect my own wifi.
All these roms are meant for the marvel and not the marvelc. Check whether the rom is for the marvelc before downloading and flashing
Thats cuz you have the CDMA version of the Wildfire S!!!
U should try out the roms marked with marvelc or CDMA!!!
so anything marked for marvelc or CDMA will work?

Do you have clockwork recovery installed??
First download the CM9 Alpha 3 zip from here. Also download GoogleApps.
> Put it in SD card.
> Go to recovery mode.
> Wipe data/factory reset.
>Wipe davlik cache in advanced settings.
> Wipe battery stats.
> Select Install from zip.
>Find the CM9 zip and flash it.
> Again install the zip, find gapps zip and flash it.
> reboot.
> You are done. It may take some 5 -6 minutes to boot up at first.. Should work without any problem.
thanks it really workd... thanks a lot
Glad that you managed to root your Wildfire S! Not the easiest phone to root, I'm sure you'll agree.
I'm currently using AOKP Build 38, which is Android 4.0.4, on my Wildfire S. Great ROM, fast, highly customisable, only problem is the camera does not work, but from what I can gather, this should be fixed soon.
Anyway, enjoy your device!
can u provide me AOKP Build 38 link?? nd ya i agree its not easiest phone to root.. nd is there any way to use HTC sense in it.. nd automatically install some basic application like facebook, maps etc..

Cyanogen Mod is known as Sense less mod.
If you need sense you might wanna install a sense 3.5 ROM or Sense 2.1 ROM but unfortunately they will be with gingerbread.
There is no Sense ICS rom for our WFS till now.

I guess Asian users are having these problems. So far all Indian user reported that the ROM can't register the sim. :X
the sim card problem only happens with certain versions of the WFS and certain carriers

+1 to what he said.
BTW May i suggest some playing around with existing ROMs before you try to cook one for yourself.
Just a personal advice coz it helps to know what problems the ROMs are having. Be advanced in flashing ROM and fixing bugs then move to next level.

Calm down, No need to rage!
CM9 by modpunk is the best ICS ROM for our phone.
if you don't like it, you shouldn't have installed. All the bugs are clearly mentioned there.
About CAM: Camera is perfectly working in RC1. Some performance issues are there but they are awaiting Drivers.
Battery? I get 12 hours of battery on ICS. Which is way better than what i used to get in sense. Check your configurations.
Heating problem? It is with every wildfire. Check your overclock settings for that.
CM9 and all ICS ROMS are senseless ROMs. If you are looking for sense widgets in them you are making a fool of yourself.
To revert to your original ROM follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1467844
P.S. Next time you flash a custom ROM please read disclaimer and Bug list so you don't end up raging on devs.
Also if you have Stock nandroid backup you can use that.

It is, just not in usual way. To record video, you have to use IgCamera app and to play it, you have to use some external player with it's own codecs like MX Player.

Yes, you're in the wrong place. When you say "don't seems to work" do you mean that there are problems in the ROM (usually stated in the first post of the ROM) or you can't get any to flash (read a tutorial)?
You have to give more information. What doesnt work?
You tried sabsa, existz's Aospx is highly recommended. LC's IceColdcream are all great rims.

First of all it's wrong thread, secondly be clear with what problem you are facing.
In simple (if you are new to custom roms or DHD), you need
1- HTC Desire HD
2- Eng S-Off
3- Radio S-Off
4- Custom recovery
5- Custom ROM
For 2 and 3 search in "DHD Android Development" for how to root or something like that, there is tons of information available or simply google it.
Talking about custom roms everyone here has his/her own choice. What is yours
1- AOSP
2- Sense
After getting through all these procedure you might have a working ICS rom.
Good Luck......
Sent from my HTC Desire HD
its already s-off bro and rooted aswell, I figure when a rom is under 300mb it doesn't past boot logo, I just tried one that was over 300mb and it work wella but it wasn't ics and ics is wat I want ama try and search again
pls tell me
wats the difference between HD and DHD
HTC DHD = HTC Desire HD,
HTC Desire HD = HTC Desire HD
no difference
oh ok well I can't find a working link with an ics rom, anyone can maybe upload one for me or maybe bump a working link pls
Not to be funny, but have you ever flash any custom rom and got it to work on your DHD before?

I'm really sorry, but, that's the way hov is working if you didn't do anything to improve it...
If it will bother you too much, and if you know at least basics, you can easily unlock, root, put another rom, mods... and you'll have "a new phone". Until that steps, you'll have to be with what you have... Sorry...
You can find a lot of tutorials on XDA, read them first, then, if you will decide, try them... Not necessary mine...
From what you wrote, one would have to suggest that you send it in for warranty repair

Try to do a factory reset. That can help.
But for most of the part, this problem cannot be fixed.
You can even try some other ROM and see if the problem persists.
