Today 6/5/2012. I've tested your creed v3.0 (I'm certainly didn't install any app more, just flashed your ROM) and I was lost some money. I called the service of my country's network and they told me that "From 18h-21h you sended some messages oversea to the number which end with 333" (I've asked what is their number but they didn't tell me). Can anyone give me the reason?
wait what? you installed a rom and it made international texts? O_O is that even possible?
no no, i just test ROM zCreeds Fusion
after flash lost some money 0,2 $ .I am already trying to go try again

When you flashed the ROM, did you get a message saying "Welcome to Samsung! Your device is now registered" or something like that?

Same thing has happened to me after flashing hybrid. It sent international texts to India. INDIA, of all places. Lol. Other threads say that you should change "own numbers" in the contacts app to something else. I haven't tested yet but they say it works.

Hmm I got 1.5 rs cut every time I change sim card using hybrid but this indeed looks dangerous Lol.. How much you got deducted every time?

Before you turn your phone off to change sim cards turn on airplane mode. That way you won't get charged.
I got charged the standard rate here for international texts.

This happened to me also, I changed to hybrid 4.0 weeks ago and I love it but a couple of days ago I received my phone bill and it fkkin doubled my payment due to international sms. How to fix this?

So I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 (actually, GT-S5369, because it was a locked one). I procedeed on rooting it, installing a couple of different ROMs, like ChobitsDigitalis Rom and Creeds' Rom v2.5. Thing is, when I started all this, I had about 10 euros on my prepaid SIM card. Now I only have about 4 left, and it's going down fast.
I read on the forums that the phone might automatically send some SMSes to Samsung India or something if you had a wrong CSC activated. So I flashed the following using Odin :CSC only:S5360_OXFKL3. After that, using my IMEI number ( *#272*Device IMEI#), I selected the code CNX ( for Vodafone Romania) and thought everything would be fine. But, as stated above, I'm still losing credit.
I don't even know if I posted in the right section of the forum. I chose to post it in General Discussions rather than Q&A because this section seems more active. If there's a problem, I'm asking a moderator to move it.
Looking forward to an answer, I'm kinda desperate about it.
Have u disabled internet roaming?
give me thanks if I helped u
Well, I disabled it now. Another question: must I disable it everytime I install a new ROM? Do I need to flash a CSC that containts my provider everytime I install a new ROM?

Well, cheers guys. I wish those things were written somewhere around here, like, I've read that beginner's thread for S5360 newbies and other threads around here, but it was not stated anywhere that I need to do those things as well. Thanks a lot.
U know what's weird? I'm in Poland and never changed to any other csc when flashing custom roms. 8 euro gives me 3+gigabyte of internet + midnight to 9am unlimited. I guess its a good deal. Whats ur providers packet like?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
Have no idea, not using my provider's internet. But still, it is pretty weird how it resets to an Indian CSC (at least that's what happened with Creed's ROM) . As I said, it would've been no problem if you were at least noticed in the info thread about the ROM that there's a slight chance that this might happen. Lost about 6 euros...eh, **** happens, at least I know what to do next time.
It would help if you skip your Google sign-in too on every ROM flash. Since you don't have any active data plan, signing in could result in loss of prepaid credit.

Of course you can but you may have some network issues and your language can be missing.
But it's not less safe than flashing a firmware for your country.

I believe so, however I have been flashing ROMs from different countries and all worked well...the only thing I saw was like when the phone boots up the first time it will tell to detect a language but by default it's the language of the country the ROM it was intended for and another thing is also you may need to change the LANGUAGE/KEYBOARD settings are predictive text settings in the same section to English if they are not set correctly

I purchased a GT-N7105 from Hong Kong and flashed it with the standard New Zealand firmware.
You have to factory reset a few times otherwise the CSC doesn't change. But it works fine.
I'd ignore the modem crap. Everyone talks about it, not a single person has (to my knowledge, love to be proved wrong) ever shown how it can really make any difference at all. Everyone just repeats it because it's what they read.
---------- Post added at 09:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:46 PM ----------
(I should say, I know that going back to older modem versions can mean you get no signal. But long as you use an up-to-date release you'll be fine. Crap about signal performance etc was what I meant in my previous post)

Does the phone display your IMEI number? if you were flashing different roms you may have flashed the improper modem onto it. the easiest thing to try is to flash stock through ODIN.

I think that I should explain from begining.
I bought it from New York, T-Mobile SGH-T889
Guy made it unlocked.
When I go back to Turkey, It was working well with clone IMEI.
2 weeks later, I faced with mobile networks problem.
It was changed to orginal IMEI, and I registered to my passport.
But the problem was still working.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Right Now,
My phone's IMEI : Clone IMEI ( Registered )
I tried all stock and custom roms..
I set up APN. : (
But I don't think that the problem is about Apn because,
This warning is always seems even I dont put the sim card
Please help, thanks
Does anyone know any patch or something, thanks.
Clone IMEI?
i think your dealing with something illegal.
If you didnt know, you do now, its illegal to change the IMEI of a device.

It's illegal in US, but I'm sure it's perfectly legal in some other countries.
IMEI is not an international law.

Ill rephrase it also, its illegal to do in the US and i believe this site has a zero tolerance for it as well.
But ill kindly bow out of the conversation since the root of the issue may be IMEI related.

Well we have the international... I know I posted it in the wrong forum (also posted it in the right one already too)...
He messed up with overclocking (although I told him to stay off if you don't know how to use it) and the phone didn't pass the bootscreens...
So yeah we flashed that firmware... We were glad the phone booted again but a little later we discovered that we could not call... So yeah... That's why I'm here... Can we flash a firmware from uk? Does it matter? I know it matters that it's ATT, International or verizon... But does it matter what country?
So the phone model is a 7100 series?
I agree with you firmware sounds like its fine. The right modem should fix it.

Hello guys,
I thought if posting my other problem since the wifi one I had got quickly fixed when I posted it yesterday (thanks to the awesome XDA members).
My mom's SIM Card was on her note 2 before she gave me it, and when I removed it to replace it whith mine, I turned the phone on and entered the PIN Code, but I can't text, call, or do anything with the SIM (not registered on network)
I am sure this is not a hardware problem nor a software one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Isn't the phone network locked?
Or try changing modem.
Visit Sammobile, click Firmware Database, and search for your N2 and country. Check the modem of the latest Android version that you have in your phone (ex. Im using KK and from the PH, the latest KK rom is ND4 and its modem is DXUFND2). Try to search for your modem in JoelDroid's thread or the Hurricane modem changer in Hurricane Tools thread.
Goodluck. ^.^
