I for one will be a believer about this leak once caulkin can do his outstanding magic with it! I personally have learned not to get too excited until he touches a ROM! Once caulkin works a ROM over, then it becomes a dd and worthy of flashing.

On a serious note, the visual look of this build is very very disappointing. Was really hoping it would look different enough to differentiate itself from GB

glad I didn't try to install it; as it is now, that rom is fuggly..
good thing we have the best dev's in the world here; if thats the look that Sammy ends up releasing to the public, ICS for the "mainstreamers" with be a total fail..

So my only comments/questions were about the Camera, battery and Face-lock.
Camera would be nice operational for CM9 Devs.
Does the battery get hot? A lot of CM9 Alpha 2 post are saying that the Battery runs out in 2 hours and gets very hot.
I absolutely agree that the face-lock was awesome!!! This was better that I thought it would be.

Is the screen rotation animation working? . I can't wait to get my hands on this.

Just came across this app and found it totally fantastic.... thought of sharing it with our community.

We can simply use the built in proximity sensor to turn on or off the screen without touching the screen or hardware buttons ..totally cool pro version is there too with some more features.
do give it a try people
steps to enable the settings properly
1. install the app
2. in the basic tab enabke screen on and off
3. in wave hand mode tab enable it and edit the number of waves to your choice
4. now select save and restart app
we can use it as a show off to our buddies

one is not good option.if you want open pull down menue phone always screen off ^^
use 2 waves and all its fine

I use the pro version since its release, and I can assure you that it has no impact on the battery, is really a great app.
Also I have used with SGS2, NOTE, GALAXY NEXUS and now with SGS3...bye...

yeah almost no impact on battery...
will try 3, i found single way more comfortable but forced to move to 2 waves as single wave has problem with pulling notification drawer

Petition to Move Samsung Galaxy W I8150 to the Main Threads

When I got my Galaxy Wonder 2 months ago, I was so excited to mod it that i did not even bather exploring the preinstalled stock rom.
I went directly to my computer, opened Xda and browsed down to look for the Samsung Galaxy Wonder main thread.
To my surprise, (probably you were too), it WASN'T there! I was very disappointed!
Maybe I expected too much knowing that the specs of the device was great.
(Well not really that great but it's better than the other devices in the main threads)
If the basis is activity of the threads, I think that the Galaxy Wonder have so much going on here that we are highly qualified to be seated
in front . We have so many custom roms here, from GB to ICS and now an almost 100% working JellyBean 4.1.2 - i have to mention it's super smooth on our device and even better than the stock rom! (thanks to Sir Arco)
So guys, please join me. Vote yes on the poll!

Actually, XDA has put us right in the Low Activity Devices because that's it, we are considered low-activity. IMHO, A high-activity forum will be considered if it has a new post (I will assume it 20+) OR all of a sudden Samsung Galaxy W gets many ROMs, many users (that active in XDA) and many more aspects.
But if a "high-activity OR new device that goes to main thread" is deserted. Then there are only 2 options, move it to Low-Activity, or delete it.

Check the stats first, observe, see how many posts everyday and how many roms we have and how active this forum is.

Actually I was going to type it (20+ posts) with every hour, but well, I'm just an ordinary human.
First, did you see the traffic in this forum in 7 AM (GMT+7) or 12 AM (GMT)? Almost no post.
When the high-activity forums still got a 1-5 post in the night (or even 20.. Because of the different time zone).
Also, I will take the aspect of the many users.
And then, maybe we are not Low-Activity one, but the Legacy one.
CMIIW.
(Also, Yes.. If the XDA Teams want to bring us back in the Main Forum)

On jellybam ROM there's options to install a lot of Samsung apks, touchwiz laucher and even keyboard. Wouldnt really be a touchwiz ROM more of a theme.

Its kinda bs how Google doesn't make any special features for there stock ROM. I'd love to be able to mute a phone call by turning the phone over. Or by calling someone im texting, just by putting the phone to my ear.

Both possible with tasker I'd say. I know we don't get alot of extra features but that er knew before we bought the device.

You know personally I'm tired of seeing a lot of people bash at roms that we don't have for this phone. Stating that "that phone sucks and if you wanted a phone to look like that why didn't you buy that phone?" Half the time I think ppl do that just to score a simple thanks record. Its ridiculous and I hate seeing it on almost any thread that talks about a different phone that's not a nexus 4. If you really are a true android fan you would love it all but have a favorite. If the damn S3, S2, Xperia, or droid etc can have paranoid android or ASOP why can't we have a an s3 or S4 look to our phones? Stop making the ppl that look to be Devs in the near future look else where! And for the record I'm a guy likes miui!! What are you gonna tell me that I need to go to buy a Xiaomi just to get miui? HELL no. I'm happy with my nexus because with my nexus I believe it can run anything it wants to and not go by some judgemental idiot who thinks looks should stay with your phone you own. Geez go away you sound as restricted as Apple.

I hate to say it but as far as MIUI you may soon have no choice as developers are adding code to detect if it is being used and miui and if it is then it will crash the kernel and cause random issues.
Now as for the rest. Most here are right. The flaming needs to stop. He asked a simple question and instead of giving good development based answers people want to start flaming. Well guess what. It is either gonna end or people are gonna be banned.

If its that serious you could always download the apks yourself and install a touch wiz launcher or download a touch wiz theme. Maybe buy a Samsung Galaxy 3?

We on XDA have no love for miui. Its alot of the developers here that are doing it.

Well, looking at the camera the SGS3 has, it is equivalent to a semi-pro camera.
I just love it how it captures the HDR and low light shots.
BTW, For the post title, you can make it as "Photo-share as wallpapers" so that anybody can share their photos for everybody's S3's wallpapers.
