[Q] anyone know of a good calendar widget? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I'm using TDJ ICS and I don't want to go back to golauncher. Too many malware on some apps and when I tried golauncher with this rom it didn't seem like they liked each other.. Anyways I want a widget that will sync with my Google calendar and the few I have found don't. Don't get me wrong I loved golauncher and it had great widgets.. Thanks
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda

I use Smooth Calendar for my Exchange and Google calendars.

I like Business Calendar.

I use Android Pro Widgets for my calendar. The widget lets you swtich between the calendar and agenda view within the widget, much like the LauncherPro Plus widget did. I personally hate the quick entry method, but it's disable through a simple menu setting.

I'm using Agenda Widget +. It has several widget layouts; grid has a popup agenda view. The paid + version has skins and a mode where you can adjust the colors to some extent.

Jorte has about any calendar or task widgets you'd want and his pretty customizable.
Sent from Hercules with Ice Cream

There's also Pure Calendar

Im in the same boat as you but simple calendar works pretty good too.

Personally I love Month Calender Widget.. no permissions or app icon, only a widget showing a full month calender. clean and practical for me! Did I mention this baby is FREE!!

I use 'android 4 ics calendar'. It's the stock ics calendar widget and it works great

I just go look on my wall lmao

+1 i was looking for a replacement for Go calendar, so far there is none with the snazzy UI for flipping the page however Agenda Widget is good. I paid for the full verson so i can have two independent calendars (Exchange and gmail separated). I had a problem and within about 1 hours the Dev had emailed me and fixed the problem. Best few bucks on a app i have ever spent.

Best clock + weather and calendar widget?

Used to having HTC sense clock+weather and calendar widget. What's a good play store free replacement that looks good on Nexus 7?
For clock+weather, would be great to have something that switches location automatically and accurately. Currently trying GO Weather EX and Fancy widget.
For calendar, want to have month view taking the whole home screen. Currently trying android pro widget.
Beautiful Widgets?
HD Widgets for me, because i like the full screen weather info
I am using Be Weather pro and it's a treat... It has own skins + you can use skins from beautiful widgets. Updates locations not according city but according to the area where you are
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
For a clock widget you can't beat One More Clock. The paid version is worth the 99 cents. It will also show temp and battery status.
The best weather app on the market is eWeather.
I own several, including Beautiful Widgets, BeWeather, and HD Widgets. My favorite is BeWeather but I use HD Widgets on the table because the downloaded HD pack looks better and includes sizes for 7 inch tablets. If BeWeather updates their compatibility with tablets (i.e., widget sizes), I may switch back to them.
You may also want to consider which weather services are offered: Beautiful Widgets (Accuweather, Google), BeWeather (Weatherunderground), HD Widgets (Accuweather, Google, Weatherbug, Weatherunderground).
For calendar check out Jorte and Business Calendar.
Was about to post screen shot of BeWeather... But can't, I am still a noon here on forums
I don't have a problem with BeWeather on tablet or my GSNexus
I'm going to just give them all a try and see what I like best.
I have tried a lot of them, but Beweather has not moved off my screens. A tablet widget would be welcome but does not a deal breaker. It is a great weather app, the best one out there imo.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I also like Fancy Widgets. It shows battery % and other info along with clock and weather. Some of the skins only come with the paid version, but I think you would like the free version well enough.
The Asus Weather Widget is my fav currently
I've always liked the Asus weather app too. Too bad clicking on it just shows settings vs an extended forecast. I don't like the forecast being directly displayed in the widget so I resize it to hide it but it would be nice to have some sort of click through.
Its what I'm using now. Thanks for the idea. FYI, the app can be found in the TF101 App forums.

I have been using Beautiful Widgets and Battery Widget? Reborn! (can't link sorry). I really like BR? R! due to its use of the expanded notification, it also has a couple power saving toggles so I was able to retire PowerToggles, not as robust but does what I need. Beautiful Widgets with Suku_ICS is minimal and fits into my home screen seamlessly.
Hope that helps!
For battery alone, I use the wonderfully minimal http://www.batterywidgetreborn.com (Which is available in beta from the play store for free). You can adjust size and colour, and also how many notifications you want. Best thing about it is it looks GREAT

I found out about it last week on All About Android and have been loving it. They did a really great job, well worth the money to support the dev, it helped that I had my money from purchasing my Nex7.

For Weather, I use a mixture. I really like Android Weather but I tend to rotate through weather widgets pretty often. I tried the Ultimate Clock Widget, noted above, and spent a whole afternoon going through themes that I liked. In the end, it was clunky and a mess to get right.
Thanks, I'll look in to them all

I just use the genie news and weather app now to check the weather when I need to. Plus I'm a news junkie so it's handy. After a long run with HTC dating back to the Touch (Vogue), I'm all weather widget'd out lol..I no longer see the need to obsess with the weather any longer. I can look out the window haha..but, Beautiful Widgets has a lot of options and no doubt can fit the bill for what you're after.
Edit : also check out GoWeather. It has some pretty cool video animations when you open it. Kinda Sense like

The stock TW weather/ clock widget isn't too bad looking either, not sure why they decided to not have it link to the clock app.

eWeather HD has two weather providers: Foreca and Intellicast. I think it is the most accurate weather app.
Also it has about 20 widgets with clock, weather, radar etc
It starts alarm clock if click on right-top corner of the widget, else it starts weather forecast.

Rings Digital Weather Clock

Love the three ring design of the app, but weather location won't update. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Not sure about that, but you could try One More Clock Widget. It has one theme with a very similar look to Rings Digital Weather Clock, and it is updating weather just fine for me. I actually think it looks nicer too.
Ditto. One More Clock is the one I use, and it DOES look nicer, I compared them side by side. And it's free!

I've got it up and running. OMC uses NOAA weather, which only allows you to update every hour, but i've noticed that if i set my other weather apps, Accuweather or TWC, to 15 minutes, it also seems to update OMC. Is this possible, that one or both could override the NOAA setting in OMC? Just curious. Thanks, in advance, for your replies.

Looking for a nice clock widget

I did some searching and only found a few LOCK screen clocks. I'm looking for a widget clock for the top of my main homescreen, not the lock screen.
One that would allow many the weather to come up when I click it, but its not a deal breaker.
THANKS
