I just wanna know if there are any custom ROMs that are not bugged (I know that even official ROMs have plenty bugs) and can be used for daily usage.
If possible, is there a custom ROM that has/may contain:
1) Non-disturbing bugs. Bugs that doesn't bother and non-severe that may destroy my device.
2) Sleek black UI. Dark colored UI works, too.
3) Newbie-friendly.
Thanks again
try creeds v2 or chobits 1.6,
most if not all custom rom has some issues,
do a trial and error and see for yourself what ROM suits you best
Creeds rom
Creeds Rom 3.2 works great for me.. No bugs so far.. except for the signal icon.. (Something u can live with )
As I have said, I am a newbie. Well, I do know many procedures now, but I don't want to risk it.
@deathnotice01
Chobits 1.6? Is there a problem with 1.8 and 2? I almost flashed those, good thing I am still waiting for a stable one.
@Vikram3392
I need the signal bar. My home isn't the perfect place to get signal, so I look at in order for me to change position in order to get the perfect signal
Thanks anyway.
@All
I want to flash Chobits v2. Is it good to use? I don't plan to use any a2sd and other system related things. I just want a good ROM that fixes a lot of flaws from the stock and a ROM that supports init.d perfectly, as I want to use [email protected]' tweaks.

Chobits v2 is still new. But chobits v1.8 with merruk kernel will certainly satisfy your needs! Stable rom+tweaks!

I thought v2 was an improvement of 1.8. If it is, then new should be better, right?
sir the most stable rom you can get is modified stock ROM, in terms of stability and overall use
custom roms have their pros and cons in terms of speed,memory usage, etc
since you are a beginner try to remove bloatwares and ad some customizations,tweaks, etc..
you can also push apps to ROM to increase a little ur phone memory
the good thing about android is you can personalize based on your taste, so happy modding

You're right....but we need to wait for some more time, till we get lots of good feedback about v2....till then, i consider chobits v1.8 to be better...

Chobits v2, very stable..
If you can live with the dark themes its great
I wish he'd release one without the modded apps though..
most stable, fastest, reliable rom --> modified stock rom. with fine tune and good modification, odexed rom is always faster than deodexed rom.

Man so far i'v used-Creed's 2.0 and 3.1 CHOBITSDIGITALISV2 RELOADED(RAM about 230mb) and Termarom v2.0
THE BEST thing is Terma-fast,stable,RAM is about 150,160mb with all apps i use and its bug free believe me.
But UI is not dark
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520167
just follow the steps(i'v instal this two times)and it whill be OK.
Well i want to ask someone who used these roms a lot more then me because i didn`t use them for more then 2-3 weeks so i can`t compare very good. I want to know the comparison of speediness and smoothness after much ussage of these roms :
MMB DebianDroid Lenny
Adrenaline
Enhanced236
Dellanoister Lewa Gio
S`Perience
Crane Rom
So these are the fastest roms that i used but i want to know the long term effect on speed and stability , for example after adding many apps after flashing a `2ext script and different mumbo-jumbo tweaking the settings , etc you get it.
I want to settle once and for all for one of these but the thing is DebianDroid cannot play videos correctly and with Adrenaline i cannot connect to my wifi access point. Enhanced236 i think i found a pretty serious bug sometime but i can`t remember now and Lewa Gio i didn`t use so much.
So please , anyone who used these roms a lot more then me , recommend which one. Thank you
Well, I used Enhanced236 for about a month and it's the best Gio ROM for me. Nice design, super smooth, same on the first day and the month later.
But I'm addicted to ROMs, so I changed it. I have nandroid backup to restore it whenever I want.
Now I'm on Giogiel v3, and it seems kinda nice. It has int2ext+ included, nice design, and fast.
Everybody likes different kinds of ROMs, so it's the best to try all ROMs and see which one you like the most.
RonninDamn , what 2ext you use for enhanced236 that doesn`t affect performance or stability ? i tried int2ext+ and it screwed up.

I used link2sd. Then I couldn't try 2ext scripts, because I couldn't delete link2sd script, and I was satisfied with link2sd.

For that reason I have stock GB .62 rom, rooted, added launcher tweak into build.prop and moved some applications from /data/app to system/app, at the moment I have about 170 mb free space my Arc S, and it is running smooth without any problems, without anything missing or not working.
With all those wishes, I don't find any other way.

Hi,
in past two months I have tried most of the popular ROMs. First of all I would not recommend you to use custom ROMs with locked bootloader. For some reason even if a ROM is supposed to work with locked BL I would experience bootloops or other problems. After I have unlocked it the bootloops dissapered. If you decide to unlock it first thing to try is CM10 just to see how jellybean looks. It works great with no problems but the camera is 480p and I dont think that is a compromise anyone should make. But still go for it just to see what we're missing out on . Of ICS rROMS I can recommend Ultimate HD (you will need to temper with it to enable XLoud) and JJ Hybrid (for stock ICS look).
Performance wise the GB is the best for Arc S. Even though the benchmark results were the same for GB/ICS/JB when I've tested it, if you are gaming GB will give you the best performance. Also camera and sound work best. If it doesnt bother you to use the older version of android go with GB. If you unlock the BL then you can use Doomkernel for GB and OC and UV the phone for better performance and battery life. There is Setxperia app that works great with Doomkernel in GB but gives me problems with Rush kernel so I cant use it in ICS.
You can go with the stock .42, root, delete anything you don't need. And update to .62. That alone would give you the best possible performance you can get out of Arc. If you unlock the bootloader then you can overclock it to 1600 MHz and undervolt at least -50mV whitch gave me about 3 days of battery life and faster phone.

the best one is the one that's best for your needs, not what everyone else says is best for them.
try a few and find out...
but if you have already decided that leedroid is the best, i read the last page of the thread and found this link.
also, you should read the FAQ to set it up properly.

erm.. thats JB 4.2.2
I think the fastest is Mild wild sense ROM. But better try them by yourself because it depends what u need from the ROM etc. I personally use RSK 4.2.2 JB non-sense ROM because its the fastest JB (my opinion) and also I use it for about a week and didn't get any soft reboots. Good luck.

Hi
I'm new in rooting world! until now I read most of these ROMs threads:
GingerBread (AOSP):
==================================[Version]=================
MildWild GB-1 Based on Solstice ROM--------------------------------------->[v1.0.7/10th/March/2013]
MildWild based on CyanogenMod7--------------------------------------->[CM 8.0 JG Stable/27th/January/2013]
MildWild based on Oxygen 2.3.2--------------------------------------->[v4.9/23rd/January/2013]
MildWild Based on Redux2 TEST--------------------------------------->[v.MW-9.5/5th/March/2013]
Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) AOSP/SDK:
==================================[Version]=================
[ROM/MOD 4.0.4] Marius.a--------------------------------------->[v3.5/8th/March/2013]
And tested these:
MildWild Based on Redux2 TEST--------------------------------------->[v.MW-9.5/5th/March/2013]
&
[ROM/MOD 4.0.4] Marius.a--------------------------------------->[v3.5/8th/March/2013]
I like this ROM: "MildWild Based on Redux2 TEST" be cause It is fast/working all functions except GPRS in my case!! evrything work great and really fast! but after 2 weeks It get slow down!!!
"MildWild Based on Redux2 TEST" was simple at graphics and icons! but that was not important for me! in the other hand "[ROM/MOD 4.0.4] Marius.a" was better in graphics and have some small nice featuers too. but again my GPRS do not work under it and after some hours my WiFi do not work too and some reboot start ........ !!!
as all above friends said, better to test them yourself on your phone but in my opinion it will be wiser that first read most of the users posts/responses at those threads!

yeah,not a sense rom.
Until now best custom ROMs for my Desire /s
..are :
MildWild
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=169552817
Those roms are working for me the best way. Phone is stable and without crashes even thru the fact im apps and tuning maniac
Definitely worth to try them at least.
Hi again m8s
From my last post until now, I was installing and testing this great ROM "MildWild GB-1 Based on Solstice ROM" from MildWild.
For 7 days, It worx great!!! I'm really happy to see not only a Custom ROM work without any problems but also it is much much better than original OS on HTC Desire!!!!!!
Well done MildWild :good:
If @Tobster2113 you did not test it yet, please test it and tell me about your experience! All features are working great and I install some app from Google Play without any problem! (GPRS and WiFi worx without any problems!)
Old School - I've tried most of them, Mildwild makes good roms, used to love his Oxygen ones.
Newer Roms - the RSK one is nice but the open/close app drawer has an non-standard icon and not easily changeable. All of the other JB ones seem very laggy and sooner or later back to Euroskank or a CM7.2.
http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=cm7&device=bravo
These are obviously my own opinions and others may, and are welcome to disagree
Regards,
Jim
leedroid is one the most stable i have used
I wouldn't really call it the best, but the fastest Sense ROM I have ever had is the one in my signature. I need a fast rom, so this is the best for me.
Recently Founded!
Hi again!
Recently I found this site http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/ . I was testing one of theirs Custom ROM for "ZTE Blade" mobile phone and It was so fast and stable.
Therefore, I will test this ROM http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Bravo_Info for "HTC Desire" too! If until now you did not test these ROMs, Maybe It will be help full!
Note: These ROMs use basic functions and features (To be fast and stable) so to do App 2 SD thing you may need to use this: [SCRIPTS]CronMod-INT2EXT (updated 02/28)
I hope this was helpful!
Good Luck

i installed adrenoboost v0.7 on stock rom (first, ensure ur sgw support init.d).
performance up >30~40%, very stable and battery life the longest.
antutu benchmark from my stock 5000 boosted up to 7000.
give it a try, u will be really happy with it. :good:
