[APP] Flipboard for Android - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Just found this in Dev section:
Valcho said:
You know how Flipboard was exclusive only to the Galaxy S III? Sure, you can stand in line and wait for the official launch for the Android app, but since we are all buddies here...
It's simple, I just had a Galaxy S III lying around and I extracted the .apk using AirDroid. So, there you go.
Woot! My favorite site has covered me - http://blog.gsmarena.com/flipboard-...gs-cool-news-feeds-to-non-galaxy-s-iii-users/
About the S Voice, I no longer have the phone with me. But I'll try my best to get it again and extract everything you guys have asked for. Stay tuned.

RDF Seeker (Windows Application) Updated: 12-13-2011

RDF Seeker for Windows is no longer being actively developed! Please don't post bugs because they are not going to be fixed!
>>Download and changelog<<
RDF Seeker for Android has been released! Check out the beta here
Hey guys!
So I have asked around how people are checking for new rdf's and everyone has said that they just try entering a name and see what happens.
This to me feels slow, unreliable, and just a plain pain in the ass.
To remedy this process I decided to create a simple application that will scan for rdf files and download them for viewing. (It cleans up after itself don't worry)
I would have to say that this software is in the alpha more so beta stage.
It won't break your computer but not sure if it will work in all cases.
Either way the standard disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything this application does to your computer, grandmother, dog, or brand new car.
Bug List:
The RDF parsing for the viewer is still very basic and may very well show bad info or not work at all.
If you do find an rdf that the viewer doesn't display correctly please send the rdf to me by opening the rdf in notepad (double click the build in the list) and save it to a text file.
Requirements:
Windows (Duh)
.Net 3.5
Notepad (You do have notepad on your computer right?)
Steps to use:
1. Select or type your device name.
2. Enter the build name that you would like to start looking for rdf's after IF required. (Ex. EI22)
3. Enter how many build names you would like to check. (Default is 50, the more you check the longer it takes. Some devices will only return one rdf)
4. Select a build from the list to show its details in the viewer or, double click on it to open it in notepad.
5. Profit????

I do! I have one app in the market that is still very basic but I hope to make it into something great one day! Possibly a web site, desktop app, etc.
It's called ChangeLogs.
Heres a link Android Market

Does anyone know of another web based list that may be more reliable?
This one seems outdated, but it works for now.
It must have all the model names (preferably on the same page)
The URL to at least one rdf file for each model where the rest can be found.
No Clue where a new one can be found. But i am liking this. And thanks for not capping the amount you can search. gonna start with the first release for our phones, set it to 10000 builds, and see what i can find yes just for the heck of it.

I can tell you one thing is for sure, while testing I ran quite a few scans (duh) and there are A LOT of builds that went unnoticed.
Can't wait to hear about your results.
This brings up a thought. Maybe I should have an export function?

GTA3 installs on GN GSM now (v1.2 via Android Market)

V1.2 Out
Just got a ticket back from Rockstar this is fixed and now at least on Web Android Market it let me push the install to my Galaxy Nexus: (WAS NOT SHOWING UP IN ANDROID MARKET ON DEVICE)
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rockstar.gta3
THIS WILL now (in the US at least) allow install, in other countries you may need to search for GTA 3 as there are a few other country specific listings.
Installing/Downloading additional files now!
Those asking why I posted this? up until an hour ago GSM Galaxy Nexus was NOT showing as a supported device even though the Verizon Galaxy Nexus was. I sent a proper support ticket to Rockstar - and they answered vs. flaming the market reviews most do
Was this really necessary? there's a existing thread with 7 pages of discussion and I've posted this in that thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1401960&page=7
Edit: You even double posted a thread + post.
It referenced 1.1..
If a mod wants to delete the thread FINE, but tell me looking at the OP thread on that post does it say 1.2 is out and that it works on GSM GN?

Make sure you are on 1.2...
If you had a partial WiFi download of the dataset then to be honest nuke the data on the USB memory directory and clear data from the APP *OR* uninstall and reinstall.
Had to do that the first time I got it running tonight; kept starting then exiting right away when I didn't finish the wifi download of the rest of the game once market installed it
Does anyone know why this game doesn't work if you have chainfire3d installed.
Can confirm that this game works without error on my GNex.

[App] WiFi Direct for Galaxy S

A few months ago, when I had to send a big video to a friend's phone and realized that Bluetooth really sucks, I found out about WiFi Direct.
I googled a lot, but could not find a way to get it to work on my phone, although the I9000 was officially called the "first phone certified with WiFi Direct".
As I'm interested in programming, I started to research what I could do to develop an app that could send files at similar speeds and finally found out WiFi Tethering could work in combination with a simple HTTP server.
I started to write on the app in my free time, got it nearly ready, but stopped working on it because it became quite busy at school.
In the meantime I had switched my phone, but in the holidays I picked up the project again, finished the app and published it on Google Play. It's available there since about two months and received an update recently.
I want to share this app with you guys now. It's free and I hope you'll find it useful.
The app allows for speeds of up to 32 Mbit/s, which means e.g. 1 Gigabyte in just over 4 minutes (depending on devices)
Features:
✔ Up to 20x speed of bluetooth
✔ The receiver is device-independent
✔ No need for a common Wi-Fi connection
✔ No data usage for file transfers
✔ The receiver does not have to have the app installed
✔ Send single or multiple files
✔ Easy to setup: Use QR codes to allow the receiver to easily connect to the wifi and open the receiving URL
Play Store Link:

APK: http://bit.ly/FastFileTransfer
I hope you find this useful!

Hi FD_
in next CM10 nightly WiFi direct will be removed.
Is this thing will affect your app ?

No, this won't affect Fast File Transfer.
As mentioned, the app uses WiFi tethering (and not WiFi direct) and therefore will still offer fast file transfers.
So don't worry if the next CM10 does not have WiFi Direct, just use Fast File Transfer instead
thank you very much, galaxy i9000 was first device with wifi direct but i had never use it, will try it tomorrow with friend of my. thank you one more time...
Is it possible to make out a way to receive files also... would be more useful then...
Btw the app is very good as now i can shut the mouth of my frnds who show off...
Edit : had to install app in frnds phone and all good in receiving too...
Is there any chance that in future versions, the step of opening the browser or QR code, no need to do it ?
I mean, I do not see the need to open the browser on your second device because the two devices are "connected".
The way that this now appears that the second device downloads the file and not the first device sends it.
I hope I have explained.
Sorry for my english
try the app and it seems working for me

You could send multiple files once and create a bookmark to the index page in the browser on the recipient device.
Maybe I'll implement a simple receiving part in the next version.

This is technically impossible without having an app installed on the recipient's device. Maybe the receiving part mentioned above will help you, but it will require the receiver to have the app installed, if he wants to benefit from the "fast receiving" function.
Thanks for all your praise
Very nice and handy app. Thank you.
Very nice, thnk you.
Thanks for this!
sounds nice
going to try

[Q] Samsung market missing

Anyone know to get the samsung market to work with note 2?
I'm surprised that it was not pre-loaded with the photo editor app which is the only app that is designed for note 2.
I went to samsung market website for the apk but it was not listed as supported device, yet I've seen in few videos where it showed the note having it installed.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Samsung Apps is in the Play Store.
Photo editor
Hey, thanks. I was able to finally install it.
Problem now is that the photo editor from samsung says that it is not compatible with my device. What a bummer!
This guy in the video has it installed. Am i missing something here?
Edit: cant post external link... Sad panda here..
It works if you side load it. The apk is floating around somewhere....

Emotify

There is a fantastic feature introduced in the newly launched J4+ and J6+ called EMOTIFY. It is a chat option where users can create animated emojis and also can edit the text. Currently it's available in Samsung keyboard only. I was looking for the apk if it can be used in other Galaxy devices as well.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you !

Not sure if you're still looking for this. Saw it on APKMirror and was doing a search to find out what it does and came across your post.
Anyway, here's the link to the APK. I'm not going to download and test it on my Galaxy Note 8, because I neither use messaging nor Samsung Keyboard.
Thank You
