[Q] Sixaxis controller on Desire Sense ROM - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! As the title says I want to know if you can make sixaxis controller work on a Sense ROM (with the app Sixaxis Controller – when I try it on LeeDroid, it says that can’t pair Bluetooth, but on CM7/CM9 it works). I got a rooted, S-OFFed Desire.

On their website it states it's incompatible with most HTC devices. I believe this is due to HTC Sense. Which is why it works on CM but not LeeDroid. I'm sure you could get confirmation of this from google, but I'm pretty sure it won't work on any Sense based ROM for the Desire.

Bluetooth Driver

I try to use my Wiimote as a Controller with my Desire. The Stock Rom showed me an error for doing that. Regarding Posts in other Forums the bluetooth driver is the reason for that.
I have tried it in Stock Rom 2.1 and in the DJ Droid Rom, none of them are using the right drivers i think.
Which Desire Android 2.2 ROM is able to let me use my Wiimote on it, i dont want to flash every ROM to test it or is there a way to install a working Bluetooth Driver into my already flashed DJ Droid ROM?
I tried it with the Software WiimoteController from the Market, the free version.
Please help and put the working Bluetooth Drivers into every next ROMS please.
Anything without sense I believe.

[Q] roms & bt keyboards

I have desire hd (rooted 2.3) & igo stowaway think outside bt keyboard, which has never connected; before rooting etc too.
Anyway, I got this app off the market because some comments said they'd got this same keyboard working with this app, but they had normal desire, rooted & running oxygen rc7 2.3 Rom. (can't get this Rom for hd)
So does anybody know what its got that I haven't, & further more a hd Rom that'd work for me?
Thanks in advance
CM7 seems to work with everything i throw at it
Ok ta, I'll try it.
One question though - I've downloaded the cm7 file from Rom manager, but it's named 'update cm7....' & is only 90mb. Is this the right Rom to flash? (i haven't had a cm Rom on my phone before)
Yes it should be fine. CM7 ROMs are well under 100 MB.
CM7 rom flashed.
Initial impressions are... i love it.
Just need to work out how to get onto the market.
Do i need to do the google apps thing too? (yes - how do i then install it?)
Not tried the bluetooth keyboard yet (might still need this app off the market)
You will need to flash GAPPS to get the Market. Look in the CM7 thread for the link.
Think outside igo stowaway bt keyboard now up & running )
No other apps needed, works staight off CM7 RC2.
Over the moon...

I would like to test how is android from stock.
I found some rom, for Desire, but not for desire HD.
any idea where I can find it please ?
thank you
Olivier
Try cyanogenmod. This has no htc overlays. Cm nighlty 92 works well.

Sent from my Motorola Startac running Atari 2600 software!
Hello,
thank you for your feedback.
I just tested it, and it is not working well.
I can't configure another account except exchange one.
there is no Android market app or Widget.
the wifi is not working well. I am near the wifi box, and it says to me that the signal is too low.
I continue to look for a good pure android rom )
thank you
Olivier
In order to get the google apps (market, ...) in cm7 you have to flash the gapps. You find those here: goo-inside.me/gapps/

[Q] [Request] Need a Stock ROM without Sense..

i need a Stock Nexus S rom for my Desire HD as i am dam bored of this Sense and those lock screens.. more over any one can suggest me to use some launchers... but as i am need a stock ROM..
Use Android Rev HD with no-sense or no-sense++ script (HTC base 2.3.3 without sense).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040
or CyanogenMod rc-1 (google base 2.3.4)

This is an alright solution though i do not recommend the no sense script, it only removes certain apps and pieces of sense, not altogether... Cyanogenmod is one of my favorites, but the best rom i've ever ran (No longer fully supported, dev kept inspire but bought evo3d) is Gingerbeast on the inspire 4g forums, by Dilligaf, i definitely recommend it.
I stand by Cyanogenmod. Its stock with a steroid injection.

Thank u guys i just got Cynogenmod 7 installed on my Desire HD it works really well..
But i have another Request for you guys ... i have to use my home internet connection .. tht is internet pass through on my Cynogemod 7 could u plz find me a soloution which suits the best to the phone.. as i do not have a WIFI at home.. i use the internet pass through which helps me to download apps faster as i have a slow 2G network...
A $10 usb wifi dongle can be plugged into your computer and used as a makeshift gateway to share your connection via wifi.
Unfortunately I don't use Windows, only Linux so can't tell you how to set it up.
The internet passthru never worked on Linux so this is what I did to get around it.

[Q] Bluetooth and ROM

Hi everyone,
I'm using a Wildfire with stock HTC ROM. It doesn't play very well with the Bluetooth connection in my car: Receiving a call is (usually) ok, but when making a call more often than not the phone will apparently dial, but then return to the home screen without making a connection.
I read that HTC's original ROMs aren't that great when it comes to BlueTooth support. Does anyone have any experience on whether a custom ROM (Cyanogen) could be expected to be more reliable?
You can try cynogen but before that it's a must to take a nandroid backup.
Yes most custom Rom are Bluetooth reliable,I've used most roms available for the wildfire and Bluetooth is a must for myself.
Now as you've stated that your using stock 2.2 I advise you to post us your specs. I.e. are you rooted,s-on/s-off,hboot version etc etc.
Also as recommended in above post, cm7 is in my opinion the best Rom available but the difference from sense based Rom is not everybody's preference. There are plenty of very good sense 2.2 custom roms available also and will recommend these : Jokerdroid4.2 and dk (which has continued support) there are others but I've found these to be most complete. I'm current taking a break from cm7 and running Jokerdroid.
Please read up and search forums before choosing your outcome.
regards,slymobi
