is this kernel :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176502
will work with ICS++
cuz i am moving to JokaWild for smoother gaming.
DooMLord released a special Kernel for Ice Cream Sandwich. Works great with AOKPlay (4.0.4) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1573184
The ICS++ Rom is based on ICS (obviously), and the Jokawild Rom is based on Gingerbread. This means that they require different kernels.

Hey guys, what do you think about best stock Rom. Darkforest, jokawild, Dixperia or darkforest. Which one is better?
IMHO Darkforest 3.1.0 with DoomKernel if you want Gingerbread. CyanogenMod 9 if you want ICS.
is it possible to make an ics kernel for sgy to work with CM9 or AOKP roms...
or we can use any Gingerbread kernel like Merruk Technology 2.0 kernel to compile CM9 or AOKP for sgy...
what feature are needed to run ICS that couldn't found in stock GB rom from SGY?
Actually, the 2.6.x.x series of Linux kernels works fine with ics, so there is no need for a 3.x.x.x kernel.
Although if you are interested we could make a team and compile it
well i say go for it if it has more benefits than bugs tat are gona hopefully be fixed eventually

Best rom n kernel for Xperia Arc ??
Stock n Stock with CWM
Well, I disagree. Best ROMs atm would be in my own opinion:
Jelly Sandwich
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836993
Or Xperia ICS & JB Remix
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884958
Best Kernels to go with them are:
For stock:
Advanced Stock .587
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838916&highlight=stock+587
For overclocking and the full experience:
LuPuS V7

If you don't care about graphical user interface , definitely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
Also Xperia Purness worth a try as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1788701
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.
Regards
From the current Roms I can recommend
- Ultimate HD,
- Xperia T
- Pureness
all of which support the Sony styles and Apps and
-JJ Hybrid Rom
which focuses on bringing AOKP style while still supporting most of the Sony features.
I'm using Ultimate HD which seems to me to be the fastest right now for everyday use.
For kernel I use KTG Anzu, but can also recommend the advanced stock kernel.
From the older Roms I liked KA21 a lot. And Battery wise ArcKnight Kernel in Version 3.3 stock is great too.
Light...
Jelly Sandwich
If my opinion, Jelly Sandwich is a great ROM both in performance and stability (do a bit tricky in instalation) And you can expect a great deal of support from its creator, wich is constantly bringing updates and bug fixes
my combinations :
ICS :
for lasting battery life - XPERIA T v6,8 ROM with KTG ANZU v1.52 KERNEL
for good user interface - ULTIMATE HD v2.0.3 with RUSH KERNEL v10
for gaming - JELLY SANDWICH ROM v.8.5 with XARC KERNEL v2.0.431
My daily using combination - XPERIA T ROM v6.8 with RUSH KERNEL v10
+XPERIA T WALKMAN MOD
+XPERIA T UI MOD
+XPERIA S LOCKSREEN
+SMALL APPS
+CYBERSHOT CAMERA MOD V6.5.2
+DARK BLUE PLAYSTORE MOD
+SUPREMACY SCRIPT V3
+JB ADRENO DRIVERS V3
+SMARTASS V2 GOVERNOR
+NOOP I/O SCHEDULER
Hope i helped!

I am trying to decide witch kernel i need out of these two. turbo kernel 3.1 or lupus v8
both have pros and cons
Turbo kernel 3.1 (PROS) can install mostly all android versions (GB and up) both stock and aokp
Turbo kernel 3.1 (CONS) has a small but annoying glitch, in stock ics based rom screen animations are broken
lupus v8 (PROS) does all its supposed to.
lupus v8 (CONS) Can only install akop roms, ALS is disabled

Id say turbo has more pros and it's only con is in stock ics while lupus can't even use stock ics. But I think lupus has a little better performance though it'd hard to tell with jelly bean
Sent from my Xperia Play (r800x)
depends...
if you want performance and speed(which most jb and ics roms don't have)you should use the Turbo kernel.
but if you want android's features, such as voice typing(offline)and other things you can use both, but i recommend turbo again(it's my favorite kernel,i manged to have all of JB features on it,but unfortunately i deleted the JB rom(slimbean) by accident)

i ll say turbo kernel 3.1 its better overall..and its newer than lupus jbV8..performance wise its very similar..in some JB roms i have more antutu score with lupus, others with turbo..little difference in each case..but just for more options, i d go with turbo 3.1.
