When I touch two points simultaneously, and then release one, they both stay "touched" until I move or lift my remaining finger. This is obnoxious in games where one finger is mashing the accelerator (thus not moving) and the other is responsible for tilt control. If I tap left or right tilt, it stays tapped until I move or lift my other finger. This behavior is obvious using a multitouch test app, and is not resolved by turning the screen off and on again.
Nope. Emulators working fine here.
let it be.

Hi I am a newbie and just bought a samsung i780.
The trackpad is fantastic but i found that the left edge of the trackpad is not working (aprox. 30% on the left of whole trackpad). Use left index finger to move up and down on the gap between windows button and the pad, it seems not working. But the right edge is ok.
But anyway, i use thumb rub at the center and it still working.
Just want to know this is as design or defect? Anyone of your i780 have such issue?
thanks,
Nope. No such problem.
As for me, my trackpad is 'oversensitive' as described by the technician. The mouse will move by itself and worse thing is that it will simulate the 'clicking' of the button also. Right now it's in the service centre... not sure if they can do anything about it though....
so as i was messing with the phone today i found that if you hold the S-pen near the phone to show airview and you push in the pen tip, it acts as though you touched the screen. I prefer using this actually than to the actually touching of the screen, anyone know if there's gonna be a way to use the button to actually simulate touching the screen?
I've noticed it to, can be a bit annoying when it happens by mistake
noted for future reference on my Note 2
I love the Note 5, but I keep accidentally putting calls on hold when using it in the "traditional" way - putting the phone to my ear.
I've discovered that somehow the screen is coming back to life while I talk - and I'm accidentally touching the "On Hold" virtual button on the call screen in the upper right corner.
I feel a bit stupid even posting this, but the Note 5 is my first Lollipop and phablet experience. I don't remember the "On Hold" button even showing up on my GSIV call screen. Could it be a proximity sensor issue?
Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a fix?
Yes, your proximity sensor may be defective. My screen stays off when I hold the phone to my ear.
As a mitigation, you could try keeping your fingers on the side of the phone, off the screen, and lower than where the hold button is; also, hold the phone at an angle, with only the top edge held against your ear.
I have the same problem...the proximity sensor is fine, screen does go blank when on call..but nearly every day, maybe due to angle I hold phone which makes it think I am not on the phone! It keeps going on hold. Any way to resolve? Or any workarounds people have done? Really annoying, sometimes happens 2-3 times on the same call!!!
I am having the same issue. Any fix for this?
Could glass screen protector be causing this?
Can someone identify my problem?
First, when you touch the screen with one fingee its fine. But when you add another finger and move it around its fine too, but the moment you leave one of those finger in screen, the touch of the second finger is still holding same as 4 fingers and leave it on screen. I hope someone can help.
It started with it being hard to press 1,q etc keys on keyboard. When I enter developer settings and enable pointer location ,I realise it doesn't register at least hundred pixels on entire left and right sides of screen. Quite annoying. My gf phone is slowly going that way also.. any ideas apart from replace screen or phone? Also around entire edges of phone it looks like screen is delaminating,i.e. a lines and checkers pattern shows....
I have the same problem. It started with a crack, when the phone was bent too much (see picture).
But the unresponsive left edge started later, after I had fixed the phone in a car cradle. Probably the cradle held the phone too hard.
I noticed it because I was using gesture navigation and I couldn't use the back gesture when swiping from the left side. The right side still works in general, but in some apps I have a problem on the top right edge with the 3 button menu button.
You can check your touchscreen in the hardware test menu (*#*#6484#*#*) with test 8 Touchpanel edge.
Also test 7 ITO fails for my device.
Sorry, I have no advice for your problem.
My personal solution for this problem is: I will dump this device, which had hardware problems right from the start (like bluetooth disturbing WLAN) and lots of software bugs, which Xiaomi is not willing to fix. Instead a Pixel 4a will be my daily driver in a few weeks.
My problems also started after bending the entire phone.. was looking at replacement lcd and frames but in reviews they seem to not have proximity sensor..maybe just get a new phone and have this as backup..
