I have the same issue. It happens with both the Gmail app and the HTC setup wizard (com.android.settings is the process that fails).
Would probably never have noticed the setup wizard except it also detected a SIM change (presumably because I updated the radio) and started the wizard which caused the crash.
I have changed the Gmail app in recovery mode with an old one that I had from an earlier 2.2 flash (md5sums are different) but this makes no difference.
I don't use Gmail from the device and have no issues with calendar, market etc so it not a problem (for me) except for 2 force close windows every time I boot the device.
I had a problem with Gmail when I manually flashed a rooted official 2.2 ROM over MCR6. Clearing down the Gmail data fixed the issue and after it had synced up again worked fine.

Dave
I faced the same problem after upgrading to 2.3.4.
Solution : Go to Options ==> Settings ==>Applications
==> Manage Applications ==> Email ==> Clear Data/Cache!
Restart the Email Client and enter the account details again.
Worked for me
Hello everyone.
Yeasterday when i tried turned on my phone and went to the market, it started to crash everytime i went to my apps or clicked on an app in the market.
I get the error market.proces.com.android.vending has stopped. And then i can click force shutdown.
i tried to reboot, and i tried to clear the cache but nothing helps.
The error just suddenly showed up which is strange cause market has been working on my phone for weeks.
My phone is a HTC Desire ofcause and i'm running leedroid 2.3d without any other flashes.
In the applications manager, clear data and cache for Market
As i said i already did that.
Thanks anyway.
I ficed it but flashing a new ROM
Heya everyone
Since yesterday, my phone always freezes as soon as I enable a data-connection. Doesn't mater if it's mobile data, wifi or both. I have to remove the battery and start the phone new.
Once it is restarted, I always get the error that the application com.cyanogenmod.android.fotakill did crash and had to be closed.
! I also get the error when I restart the phone without a previous crash !
Anyone with the same error or can help me? thanks in advance
I have a HTC Desire Z and CM 7.0.2 installed.
Well, I did install a backup and reinstalled everything.
Working now, but I really wonder what was wrong and hope it doesn't reappear again.

Do you have cwm recovery? If yes you may try wiping dalvic cache and cache, then reboot recovery and do a permission fix

Dear Forum,
I was wondering if someone could help me, i have a HTC one M8 and i am trying to get pokemon go to work to no avail, so far i have tried:
clearing cache and data and reinstalling multiple times
turning off developer options
uninstalling xposed framework
doing a clean install of resurrection remix
dual booting an aosp rom
running rootcloak
expanding my ram (using Roehsoft Ram Expander),
the problem is when i try to launch pogo after doing an install from the apk i got from the frontpage of apkpure it asks me to give 4 permissions then immediately crashes. every try after that just crashes from the outset.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
