The screen on this phone is extremely smooth

Wow, I've never used a phone where my finger glided so easily across the screen, its also the brightest and most vibrant display I've ever used

Agreed. Love how the screen feels when gliding finger. Especially on the edges where you feel the smooth curved sides. HTC gets an A+ on this phone designwise in all aspects imo

Yeah agreed. I like sliding my finger off the edge to feel that beveled edge.

I like it, but it's like holding a wet bar of soap sometimes :sly:

I do this all the time. The "labs" feature in the stock browser which lets you bring up the context menus by sliding your thumb on the edge of the screen is one of my favourite things about the phone.

Haha it's so true. I recently used my Desire again (my brother is using it now, poor lad!) - it just feels wrong.

OP read in infomercial Billy Mays voice.

Another brilliant thing about the screen is that it hardly retains fingerprints. No need to use a matte screen protector imo.

GOD! This is something i am so scared offffff. I remember when i brought my galaxy s when it was considered one of the better ones, i dropped it in the first week a few times already. My HTC One X i'm taking care of it like it were a device that's pumping blood into my veins. I've taken good care of it so far, at least when it comes to being dropped. But accidents happen, so i can just try my best to avoid it. Despite having watched out very carefully, there are a few scratches that are hardly noticeable when the screen is on. But it annoys the living hell out of me. I'm going to probably buy a screen protector and a case today. The last thing i want is my so far favorite phone ever held to look like it's been worn out.

Hehe..that's not the original SGP my friend..the original one comes with a free Steinheil Screen Protector which is also one of the best protectors..the cost alone of this case in US is $26 plus shipping..

The looks of course..the fake one is not exact copy..
Second thing the original ones comes with free Steinheil Screen Protector..
N third if u see the back of the case the original as got an SGP logo n just "SGP Case" written underneath it..the fake one will have " Sgp Case Designed in California n bla bla bla"
N on eBay many sellers have shown a wallpaper of the original one..but when u ask about the real pic of the case then u will see..

I have this case. It came in today. The case is awesome and the screen protector is the best I have used. It totally compliments the phone.

From what I've seen on youtube,amazon even on spigen site most of SGP cases have written:
"SGP Case
Designed by SGP in California

So I don't think this could be distinctiveness original one from fake.

Gadgetshieldz Is pathetic

I had this skin on my HOX but it turned yellow in just 15 days ..its the same with all the people who have installed this skin ..
So please don't buy this crap n go for BEST SKINS EVER..I have ordered it n the reviews are really good.
Just wanted to make u guys aware so that u don't get cheated..

To be fair my bestskinsever skin for my old Sony Xperia Play has gone yellow too, but not sure how long it took, but it is noticeable since it is a white phone with a yellowish skin on it.....
I haven't tried my gadget shieldz skin yet but expected it to do the same.....
Also same with my zagg shield one on my old Dell Streak.....

Ya I know..but it takes some time..but the gadgetshieldz turned yellow from where we hold it n in just 15 days..it's more of oil stains n stuff..dats y it sucks..

I have already ordered mine so I guess I can see for myself.
As far as I know, the pale yellow problem depends in your usage and not the screen protector. The white paint on the phone, the chemicals in the screen protector and the oil react to give a pale yellow effect. This problem is not visible on black devices because black paint contains less amount of some chemical in comparison to the white paint.
Anyway I'll post updates when I get mine.

Of course you only see good review, especially in their web, because they do filtering and only showing good review and removed the bad comments.
How I get to know is because i wrote few bad review in the feedback and none is shows/display.

Just an update, mine has gone yellow too.... Did take longer than 15 days as above though but maybe different climates..... Not sure how long exactly maybe a month.....
Anyway am selling the phone and have moved across to the Samsung Galaxy s3 which I find to be a step up on the hardware and software front.

Double Dip... in full grey!

We have all seen the official HTC double dip case and most of us hate that red and grey color scheme. Was just on the HTC site and looked at the case and saw that one of the screenshots showed a full gunmetal grey double dip case. Can't find it anywhere though. Does anyone know when HTC will be releasing this one?

If it's really that big of a deal, you can probably use vinyl dye to change it to all black or all grey. I've been using Duplicolor's vinyl dye on a lot of plastic and TPU with no issue.

I had this case in OE style and took it back, it's kind if cheaply built.
This is how they should show it, no felt inside and weird clicking slots.
Plus sharp edges grab the screen.

What would be even better is if we were able to swap out the actual metal strips on the phone itself.

I do like it a lot more in all gray. I wonder when it will be available in the US

Is it wrong that I actually like the double dip colors? lol I picked one up at sprint the other day and have been using it for a couple days. I do wish that it had a soft inside though. Especially with the aluminium body I feel like if there's anything in there to scratch the phone it will scratch all the way down as your sliding it in.

Lol, HTC photoshopped their own add and removed their logo and the buttons. Yes that's how it should have been built.
That's just sooooo funny.

Just to let you all know, the Double Dip in Grey is available for pre-order on Mobile Fun now. I'll probably still buy it but I wish I hadn't already bought the red and white one lol

I agree, matter of personal preference!
It would be cool to see some glow in the dark TPU cases. They could easily make some lumibrite cases that would glow super bright for hours. This stuff is so bright for the first few minutes of coming in from a sunny day you would not need to use the torch (flashlight) feature on your phone.
Of course your phone would be glowing like a lightstick at a rave so some may not want to do that.

agree...i would prefer a glowing TPU cases rather than on the phone..its weird when u put in your pocket and its glowing inside(if your pants is thin/white colour)

you can read the reviews online

A GITD TPU case made of tritiated aerogel would rock! Basically steady 200+ microlamberts illumination for 10+ years. Of course no one keeps their phone that long, but you could hang it on the head doorknob so you don't have to wake others in the middle of the night during pee breaks.
