[Q] Downgrade to 4.2.2 to 4.1.2

Hello Guys
thanks for reading my post and helping me on this.
So i want to downgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2 (4.2,2 is very slow.. atleast on my grand).
I downloaded the stock rom from XDA , this one was for 776 mb and had only the ROM in it, While using ODIN , "pit" is required (ODIN prompts for this).
Question:
1, Can i use the pit , modem and bootloader files (from 4.2.2 rom) or are these specific to the ROM?
2. If no , can you please suggest where i can download these files for 4.1.2 rom.
Pasting SS of both ROM and these files....

You just need the 1 file. Uncheck repartion if you have it checked and try.

Just check auto reboot n f.reset time...put the amf7 (4.1.2) file as PDA n start...

Where is ID:COM????? I can't see in ur first SS... Make sure usb debugging is on in settings...

Thanks... cant believe I didnt check this before...
Though i was able to find 4.1.2 in my downloads folder:victory::victory::victory:... used all the files only then it worked i.e. pit , etc...

Hi can you please share the link where u've downloaded all thode files(MODEM,PIT,et., ) for 4.1.2.

There is a long discussion about this topic if anybody care to use the search function.
The files on the screenshot are for XUBMF2 which is 4.2.2 not 4.1.2
I have downgraded 2x already from leak and russian 4.2.2 and I always used 1 file from the XXAMF7 downloaded from sammobile. Just wipe data and cache before reboot or you will have boot loop. Do not check repartition in odin or else odin will ask for pit file which is not needed.
All the needed files are inside the tar.md5 file. Odin automatically loads them. So no need for all those files previously req by leak.

Samsung grand duos i9082 is not detecting

hello friends its me satyam
i want help regarding samsung grand duos I9082 phone
my phone is not detecting in kies and odin
i have installed samsung usb driver and i try all the possible way from my side
only memory card is detecting in pc but not phone.
when i press power+volume down+menu buton it showing me chinese language
when i open Mobile odin apk from phone it shows following
[Device model not supported(or not detected - check root)!
Generate a dump file that may help make this device compatible ? and the generated dump file is below

aftr googling i found that my phone is made of MTK6572 chip set thats y its not detecting in kies or odin

Mobile odin dosent support grand.Which firmware are you on?

Android 4.1.2 version.
Its not updating to 4.2 when click on update it shows message like ur phone is up to date

Judging by your build number It looks like you have flashed firmware for Taiwan region .since no 4.2.2 is available for that region.that's why it shows it is up to date. mayabe try flashing Indian region if you can .

But main problem is phone not detecting in kies or odin

Flash stock firmware

If you do flash modern, try flashing 3 times over because sometimes it takes a couple of flashes to stick for some people. Can't hurt.

Looks like you don't flash the stock firmware.

looks like the downloaded file was corrupted. download it again & try
remove the battery & wait for 1 min then insert. Hold press vol down + home + power button at the same time download mode will appeare. Flash stock rom. Don't use the pc while flashing stock rom.

So I installed all 4 files and got a "Device does not have DRK, please install DRK first. press any button...?" Not sure what this means.

Installed all 4 files, my 32Gb s6e has only 16GB storage. Im recovering it by using smart switch, hope this help.

You should have more space, unless you got backup and stuff you didn't delete and didn't wipe cache and factory reset, if that's so yes you will end up with 20gb or less.

I have the same problem. Flashed only the AP file in Odin and it booted, but now my 64GB shows up as a 16GB.

DRK = Device Root Key, if damaged your device won't boot up.
besides that's 4 files firmware you can't flash AP only must flash all 4 via Odin after wiping cache and factory reset.
the 4 files should/will fix DRK problem & capacity problem.
if DRK problem remains you will need to flash 5.1..1 firmware & boot up then update via OTA, or i can fix it through my service box if rooted.

So what I had to do was take MM firmware from T-Mobile that I downloaded from Sam Mobile, I extracted it and took out the cache file, repackaged it without the cache file, flashed it with Odin and the error went away.

Thanks for the advices, guys. I did manage to "fix" it. I used smart switch to restore firmware, odined TWRP and adb sideloaded Supersu 2.71. Phone works fine now (besides wifi bug not remembering pass). However, don't have root on my phone. Weird.

T-Mobile Rom File on AT&T SM-G925A Phone
Has anyone attempted to use this ROM on a SM-G925A (AT&T Variant of Galaxy S6 Edge) or have any idea if this would work? Recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and told the phone would work fine after unlock. Been having lots of issue with the phone attempting to us Wifi Calling. Thinking a T-Mobile ROM might solve these issues.

Hi guys,i want your help please i was curious about A13 on my X80 Pro then i wanted to rollback to A12.
The issue is that i downloaded both file from vivo site.
The current rom pd2185f.13.03...w20
The rollback rom is the same w20 but it shows unofficial pack

I also what to know how.. i just want to downgrade because of the blackscreen when calling.Cannot cancel if not the other one will cancel the call

Sorry i forgot to mention that i downloaded also from official vivo site last asia firmware and put it also along in root folder with the rollback then you can find local source once you enter install software

You mean 2 firmwares?? the W20 12.0.11.2 and 12.0.11.1? I already put it on the internal storage bro.. I just paste it in internal storage no folders. OR do I need to rename the file?? I dont really see the update file via local

Yes two firmware ,try to rename the rollback as 12.0.11.12 .
I m telling you what i did exactly ,try on the phone update with w20 12.0.11.2 to receive the message this is an older version something like that then go again to recovery mode and try with it .
I made exactly these steps and local file update poped up for me and went with the rollback.

I tried the 11.10 it says you have an older version.. But when I clicked the 11.2 it says Unofficial..
I will try again to recovery

still nothing pop up.. i dont know what haappen.. @okbakaka only network update

Try hard reset and repet all the above or keep trying in local update phone and then go to recovery check few times it will appear this is what i got.
Two firmware renamed the roll back to the official one and tried both

always unofficial update mesage even I rename the rollback firmware.. the only error of lower version is the firmware from official site

Keep trying with recovery mode till having the local update or try hard reset .
Did you try with vivo updater in pc with the fastboot method ?

Tnx bro its ok now.. I just reverted.. but why there is an UPDATE?? 11.11? should I download it? it says its corrupted file system after I revert back

Happy it worked for you .yeah download it of course it will correct the files corrupted ,it happens for me also after i downloaded and install it also i did a hard reset .
