[Q] HTC Desire Rooted?!

Hey
I have just got my HTC Desire rooted and don't have a clue how to use it, so anyone wanna give me pointers or tell me how to customize or do as much as i can with this rooted HTC Desire, i have a rom installed on it called Lee Droid, but i was hoping to find out if i can add any other roms or do other things with it, someone please help me?!! lol

I guess the first thing you can do is theme it with the theme kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775970
Just be careful about what you select. Or else you will cause yourself a bootloop.
Just to be safe do a nandroid backup and have a rom named update.zip ready to be flashed in the RUU if anything goes wrong.

To be honest if you don't know what rooting is then you probably don't need it - always best to read up on it all before doing it!!

so you have LeeDroid, good, now, download Espresso's theme, which specifically is made for LeeDroid
find bundles and bundles of apps that you can use to mess with the rom, like a terminal emulator, root explorer, setCPU and many more, if you dont know how, check out my appbrain, loads of stuff

[Q] What do i need what dont i need for Custom ROM?

Hey Guys,
Im new on flashing Andriod phones. In the past i have flashed WinMo phones but never an Android.
Im wondering what i need for flashing my dhd.
Its currently running Android 2.3.3 with Sense 2.1.
Its unbranded and official, so not rooted or anything.
I know this forum is full of howto's and FAQ's but wich do i need?

[Q] HTC Desire questions

hello guys, im a happy new member of the desire community .
I have came from a Sony Ericsson Xperia x8, which i a little different in terms of modding your roms and radios... I have looked around the threads for a while now and not really found anything what answers my question, so sorry if there maybe a duplicate don't burn me if there is i have tried.
I know how to root my phone and the recovery installation as i had an old HTC wildfire what i broke but am not familiar with unlocking and flashing bootloaders hence why i need your help.
But i would like some help or answers regarding my HTC so here we go...
Well first of all the HTC is locked onto the orange network, i am currently on three so how could i get my phone unlocked... possibly free?
Also when i get my HTC unlocked if i flash things like new radios, roms, bootloaders ETC... will my phone remain unlocked or become locked again?
Also what is the first rom i should try out? I would want a fast one whats stable but maybe perhaps android 4.0 or above, can you guys give me some suggestions please thanks.
Ps: Sorry for the wall of text i want to make sure i get things right and don't brick my phone in the process of unlocking. :fingers-crossed:

//Edit: If you start with Froyo 2.2.2 ( I did ), the unrevoke method won't work, i used the revolutionary method successfully.

I guess not, but otherwise, if it is locked after flashing or other things: you can unlock your Desire very fast with the first thread in my first post i edited my first post and added some additional Infos for you.

There is only one disadvantage of rooting..
your phones warranty gets void.. rest everything is absolutely fine.

Sounds like a hardware issue to me. You could install clockworkmod recovery, make a nandroid backup of your device and then install rempuzzle just to see if it is a software issue. But my best bet would be that your digitizer is broken.

There is not best guides, they are all good at what they are written for. If you had searched my posted threads you would have noticed two guides to do with rooting and flashing the htc wildfire. Search should be your best friend in this world

Hey man, my phone is s-off should I unlock it via htc dev?
My brother has a wildfire s which is s-off and he didn't unlock it and his phone is rooted now
